AB Freedom has decided to call it quits.
I've been there many times -- even on a weekly basis.
On one hand I can understand the reticence to continue one's blog.
And I certainly can understand the time committment one must make to enable a blog in today's environment.
It is a completly unrelenting task to realize that, if you wish to be "competitive," one must post at least one fresh thought per day.
You think that's easy?
It is furthest from the truth.
ABF has said:
Please note; As of Friday Sept. 29, this blog will be closed down. There are a lot of reasons, but the biggest reason is that I just no longer have time.
Thanks to everyone for all your great comments and time. I've learned a lot from you all, and it's been a blast. I'll be around to visit when I can, and ya never know, if it eases up, I might be back one of these years.
And another logical and coherent voice bites the proverbial dust. God bless you, ABFreedom.
A voice resonating with veracity and verisimilitude.
Which is another reason that I submit I shall not quit in my continuance of postings.
ABF: come back. Soon. We shall all be looking for you.

I miss ABF too, BZ. He was a good internet friend as well, and he still is. He said in an e-mail to me that his work is too demanding right now, but that he hopes to be back, which is why I'm leaving him linked on my side bar.
ReplyDeleteHe also said he would visit from time to time. He left a comment on my Friday post, so he's not "gone", he's just not blogging right now.
Yes, I'll leave him up too in my sidebar. Darn it! But I surely understand.

I visited when I could and enjoyed the viewpoints on Canada immensely... took me back to living in Buffalo... the Land of Grey is swallowing up much with me right now... concentration shot to hell and gone. Things will get better, but slowly... very slowly...
ReplyDeleteAJ: that was the best part: reading a viewpoint not that of the United States. I very MUCH enjoyed ABF's take on his national politics! I wish I could experience and read additional conservative viewpoints from other countries -- since they are the ones making the greatest sense and providing the most clarity.

I too can relate but was sad to see him call it quits.
