(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.
BZ, you just know I stole that top picture for my Fractured Friday's post. I'll leave a link. Thank you! The fact that the Statue of Liberty greeting illegal aliens isn't really funny says a lot, doesn't it?
Great pic post! We should have been talking about a wall many years ago before 9/11, but no one saw the necessity. As a result the drug lords have taken over and going across the border was a 'given' not an exception. The problem didn't start after 9/11.. Bush had a lot on his plate prior to 9/11. He has to make decisions that effect a lot of people now. I can see why he is cautious here, but I think that wall should have been started many years ago, and due to 9/11 we should have been more aggressive closing up the holes on our borders.

ReplyDeleteSues: sigh. It IS pretty damned sad, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteGayle: steal away, it's so appropos. Volumes spoken.
Rebecca: It still befuddles me why protecting our borders and, by the extension, protecting our populace isn't PRIORITY #1.
