(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Tax Day
Today is April 15th; your taxes are due.
Two other incidents of notoriety occurred this date:
$1200 ?!?!??!?! I work for a living so I only get $300 and its going to pay bills not to help a media inspired and Fed screwed crisis in big banking economic slow down.
As I wasn't able to do any automagic deductions via my income source, the federal government hands you a *late fee* for not paying up via that route.
Yes, if you pay your full taxes on-time, you get a late fee!
Why? Because it INCONVENIENCES THE GOVERNMENT.
A good and strong reminder of *why* the founders did not allow the federal government to DO THIS.
Remember the Progressives sold the income tax on the basis that it would only go after the rich and never, ever be applied to those folks making an honest wage.
Bloviate away, but with facts, attributions and maturity. Personal and/or cheap shots shall not be published. Comment Moderation is, unfortunately, ON, thanks to an ever-growing number of sublimate trolls.
We already have our return.. Waiting on Massah Bush's 'free' money now, gonna buy me that new XD-45 Tactical...
ReplyDeleteRefunding up to $1200 ONCE was just about a ridiculous idea and won't do much based upon the numbers.
ReplyDeleteBZ
I don't want their $1200.00. I don't need their $1200.00 and if they send it to me (which they won't), I'll give it to charity.
ReplyDeleteOh, wait a minute, maybe I'll fill-up up the Suburban with it.

Thanks to a withholding error that I overlooked last year I wound up giving the State of Michigan almost a weeks pay.

They lied.
