It is becoming, hopelessly, as you describe: the Zero Party System.

BZBloviating Zeppelinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01359816456769157176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7370534.post-1149514119359429142006-06-05T06:28:00.000-07:002006-06-05T06:28:00.000-07:00Captain George W. Bush of the United States of Titanic has charted a course to avoid the iceberg by going in front of it. The sound you hear is the shredding of the underside of the United States as multiple states are being flooded and the ship is going down.

The Titanic could have rammed the iceberg and suffered damage to the forward holds which were *designed* to act as crumple zones. So the US could survive a sharp closing of borders with much diplomatic bashing, but that is what diplomats get paid to do.

Instead we try to save the ship from any damage, lest the paint job gets scratched.

This marvel of the two-party system is now set us on a path to no good as it falls into its twilight and the Zero Party State arrives.A Jacksonianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07607888697879327120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7370534.post-1149443286666004152006-06-04T10:48:00.000-07:002006-06-04T10:48:00.000-07:00Well, TF, you know what I think about Bush's immig...Well, TF, you know what I think about Bush's immigration stance and, moreover, WHY he's taking said stance. That, to me, was the most disturbing aspect I've yet uncovered. In many ways he has been a very confounding and trying president -- who, on the other hand, HAS taken a stand in Iraq and with terrorism and made some excellent SCOTUS appointments.

Bush or Gore? To me, there was and still is no question where my vote would go today. That doesn't make current politics any less frustrating.

BZBloviating Zeppelinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01359816456769157176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7370534.post-1149390799855259232006-06-03T20:13:00.000-07:002006-06-03T20:13:00.000-07:00That is another point I have never understood.. WHY weren't the borders of the USA CLOSED, locked down tight by the morning of 9-12??

Robert, Bushwack, said a while ago he hopes we hear a LOUD POP... The sound of the Bush administration pulling it's head OUT of it's ass...

Kudos to Bushwack...TexasFredhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06412925337032937983noreply@blogger.com
