The man is horrific and I can't see how any 'liberals' can support him. The Left does, assuredly, but then the Left loves dictators and tyrants because they want to emulate them.A Jacksonianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07607888697879327120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7370534.post-2139115684779055842009-07-01T11:33:27.663-07:002009-07-01T11:33:27.663-07:00BZ, I sense the same thing. The BHO administration knows this fact, but is spinning the news and, largely, deceiving Americans who don't keep up with political affairs in Latin America.

I will say, however, that the WaPo recently pointed out in a lead editorial that the removal of Zelaya from office wasn't really a coup. Of course, at the same time, the editorial defended BHO's stance. Talk about a blatant inconsistency! I haven't had time to check out the letters to the editor to see if any readers took the WaPo to task for that contradictory editorial.Always On Watchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08192688822955022541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7370534.post-79589702357016195492009-07-01T10:28:38.834-07:002009-07-01T10:28:38.834-07:00Maggie: I sense there is ANOTHER reason Mr Obama i...Maggie: I sense there is ANOTHER reason Mr Obama is very uncomfortable with this. . .

BZBloviating Zeppelinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01359816456769157176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7370534.post-65097788522414270812009-06-30T20:43:42.583-07:002009-06-30T20:43:42.583-07:00Micheletti called it a "Constitutional succes...Micheletti called it a "Constitutional succession." When you know the details, you know that's what it was.

After the Supreme Court and Congress told the man he could not hold a vote to extend his time in office, he had Chavez print-up the ballots anyway. The Honduran military had possession of them. Zelaya broke into the storage facility and took them and was readying to distribute them on the day it all went down.

I also read that in December he tried to national oil companies into one and again, Congress would not let him do it and the US Embassy advised him that it wasn't a good idea - so the US knows what's going on.

Business leaders said after he raised the minimum wage by 60%, 150,000 jobs were lost in the last 6 months.

I find it exhilarating that a country protected their constitution. Now I guess the proof will be if the military DOES NOT TAKE OVER, and Congress and the Supremes remain.

Thanks for that link to the "other" Zelaya.Maggie Thorntonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01681328690482778919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7370534.post-85793616061462890412009-06-30T13:53:40.524-07:002009-06-30T13:53:40.524-07:00Mr. Z: THANK YOU for the visit!

The M...You are absolutely right in your assessment. The MSM in this country wouldn't tell you - but I found articles in German newspapers which come to exactly the same conclusion. It has nothing to do with a military putsch, and everything to do with people exercising their power.

That does, of course, not fit well with the communists in power in so many of the States of the Americas, including the current occupant of the WH. It shows HIS true colors, doesn't it? Now we understand why he didn't protest against insulting speeches at the recent OAS meeting - because he agrees.

But this shows another thing: With the current voting system in the U.N., the real democratic states, all 30 of them, are hopelessly in the minority. So, the dictators and communists can find a majority anytime. This is why I believe the U.N. needs to be restructured and located at Lagos, Nigeria, or completely dismantled.

Mr.ZAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7370534.post-88793972377886871522009-06-30T10:57:26.524-07:002009-06-30T10:57:26.524-07:00TF: that's an example of "The People"...TF: that's an example of "The People" in action!

Shop: it may just hit a teensy-weensy too close to home.

WMD: maybe he's got a time-share?

Word: thanks so kindly, sir.

BZBloviating Zeppelinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01359816456769157176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7370534.post-61766622832117085092009-06-30T10:12:14.269-07:002009-06-30T10:12:14.269-07:00You summed it up perfectly, BZ!
