The only way to get rid of Hezbollah is to eradicate those who have ANY affilation with it. That means levelling many places and going on searches for folks that aren't so easy to find. I am scared.Mahndisa S. All this ...Excellent BZ, and your definitely right. Israel, meanwhile, had its Defense Minister shorting Israeli stocks just before major operations started and the only political wobbliness was on the part of their Prime Minister as the Nation was united like at no other time in the past 20 years. We can expect the Defense Minister to step down and a vote of no confidence when the Knesset next goes into session. I doubt that the 'cease fire' will last that long, however, as the Lebanese government will not be disarming Hezbollah, just asking them to keep their weapons 'out of sight, out of mind'... and without that the French will not deploy... and so the Iraeli's will withdraw and just need to fight their way back in again...

I hope they leave the parting gift of unopened 'instacrypts' so that the Hezbollah get to see the result of a static defense. Better to die out in the open cleanly from a bullet, mortar, bomb, or similar, rather than be buried alive.

In the meantime, I suggest we press the UN to actually pay for damages from BOTH sides, as they failed in their duties to monitor things properly.

This is a win for Transnationalists of the Terrorist and Progressivist stripes and a loss for those supporting the Sovereignty of Nations. And just a slight delay until the real hard work starts up again....

And, no, I see no real genius on the part of the President or the Secretary of State on this. While Hezbollah cannot be killed in Lebanon... they can be forced to retreat to Syria and thus, finally, open this can of worms fully. Maybe we can send Israel a couple of the old CBU-97's that did so well against Iraqi Armor. I am sure the Syrians would love to be the second combat deployment target for it.

Otherwise, to report on such events, I hope we can find Clark Kent and Peter Parker to send over to *properly* cover this... I trust their ethics more than the current jouranalists there.A Jacksonianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07607888697879327120noreply@blogger.com
