I just read this after my 'book' long post on your most recent one.

This world is really screwed up and mostly because of the liberal indoctrination everywhere. It kind of snuck up on some of us. But more and more parents have bought into the 'self esteem' crap.

I am concerned about more violence in schools and elsewhere, even to my person as these spoiled, whiney, depraved from childhood, feminized boys grow up. Why do you not think there was a huge brawl on the football field of that small college? Why so many school shootings?? Lack of solid parenting, and excuses for every behavior.

My oldest son does have aspergers, but they say he could have ADD as well. I am not a pro about ADD or ADHD, but I tend to agree with you.. Yes, my son is slower than most getting his work done at school. He was getting severly behind, but he has the character quality of WORKING HARD and he has really worked hard in private and is now keeping up with the class. We didn't have to medicate him. We weren't going to anyway, but it was suggested to us by some well meaning friends.
My son is VERY SMART, he wants everything to be right and takes longer writing stuff down. Usually he gets 100% on all his tests and this stuff is like 3 grade levels above public. So he is really getting a great education, and we are pleased he is going to make it there.

Sorry so long again.. Since I don't have a blog I tend to be really wordy on these..Rivkahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17074803139812941783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7370534.post-1161494847857213422006-10-21T22:27:00.000-07:002006-10-21T22:27:00.000-07:00Echo: you make an excellent point though, perhaps,...Echo: you make an excellent point though, perhaps, I suspect their pinheads just didn't think of it at the time. Give them a few days, they'll come around to that.

And that'll be another dead issue of which boys are "guilty" of.

BZBloviating Zeppelinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01359816456769157176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7370534.post-1161491013240620012006-10-21T21:23:00.000-07:002006-10-21T21:23:00.000-07:00You know, I was pretty cute as a little girl. It did wonders for the little boys self esteem, I am sure!!

I'm really surprised they didn't throw in the "sexuality" of tag as an excuse as well.echotighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14216749958463671834noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7370534.post-1161487843223941572006-10-21T20:30:00.000-07:002006-10-21T20:30:00.000-07:00Gayle: things perhaps might be regional; but now, ...Gayle: things perhaps might be regional; but now, from what I've read and heard from upset parents, teachers expect all their students to sit quietly in chairs and act like blank cretins creating no discontent whatsoever. Many teachers, I submit, are merely lazy or burned out from the extraneous shit that they must monitor that has little if anything to do with the actual act of teaching. Teaching children, I believe, is just about the LAST thing of which any school district is concerned.

At a time when we need to be bigger, badder, nastier, more aggressive, more creative, more impervious to hurt, harder working, in order to compete in business with the entire world and to keep our domestic shores safe -- we are rolling precisely in the opposite direction and glorifying Metrosexuals, Homosexuals, Transgenders, self-esteem, massaging egos, protecting children from reality, killing our children with food, eliminating the chance for our children to even fail, eliminating their ability to physically vent their high energy, then drugging them to inactivity for the CONVENIENCE OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS.

This is INSANE.

BZBloviating Zeppelinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01359816456769157176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7370534.post-1161445872849247902006-10-21T08:51:00.000-07:002006-10-21T08:51:00.000-07:00I agree with you, BZ. This is beyond ridiculous, it's Twilight Zone stuff!

But I have to tell you I have never been "quiet, demure, obedient, or inactive" in my life. I have been "verbal" (can't deny that one) and obedient when it made sense to be, but then I was a tomboy, and your point is well made. Little boys are rougher by nature; that's the way God made them! This really is terribly stupid. I think we already have enough "girly-men" on this planet!Gaylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02540710405153666843noreply@blogger.com
