Bloviating Zeppelin: Changing?

Bloviating Zeppelin

(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Changing?

Is John McCain thinking of changing from a big R to a big D?

He evidently considered crossing the aisle in 2001.

From The Hill:

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) was close to leaving the Republican Party in 2001, weeks before then-Sen. Jim Jeffords (Vt.) famously announced his decision to become an Independent, according to former Democratic lawmakers who say they were involved in the discussions.

In interviews with The Hill this month, former Sen. Tom Daschle (D-S.D.) and ex-Rep. Tom Downey (D-N.Y.) said there were nearly two months of talks with the maverick lawmaker following an approach by John Weaver, McCain’s chief political strategist.

Question: why has this been revealed to The Hill at this point, by Democrats, with McCain seeking the GOP nomination? Does someone not want to run against McCain? And if so, why sink McCain?

In Washington, no one does anything absent an agenda.

Shoprat: no kidding. In truth, I'd prefer he simply come out and proclaim what we've suspected all along.

This obviously doesn't shock me but just confirms what I already know to be true about him.

He was on Sean Hannity's radio show taking questions from callers. I seriously considered trying to call and give him a piece of my mind but I was in the middle of doing school with my kids and it would've taken some thought on my part to come up with a good question.

LMC: you're correct. He's the worst kind of RINO obstructionist. The GOP's worst nightmare.

He's out for himself and no one else.

Senate seat or not. The GOP would be well served by his departure. Having him in the party causes too much of a headache. He is like the drunken uncle in the family that screws up all of the holidays.

On a brighter note, he seems to be changing his illegal immigration paradigm. I know he is doing this to have an issue that sets him appart in the presidential race. None the less, it will change the whole debate for the better in the primary.

Dee, that is what I don't like about Hannity. He suffers fools.

The Top 10 reasons I will not vote for John McCain for anything, not even dogcatcher. Just to remind: "Americans will not pick lettuce for $50/hour."

Thank you, Mr. McCain, for insulting the Nation like that.
