(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

First the House, Now the Senate

Invertebrates all.

To be vetoed by President Bush in any case.

The House: 218 to 212.

The Senate today: 50 to 48.

RINO Sen. Chuck Hagel of Nebraska sided with the Democrats.

Managing a war by committee?

Wars cannot be run from these hallowed and comfortable and sanctified chambers 10,000 miles away from the war zone," said Sen. Kit Bond, R-Mo. "How about allowing the officers, the men and the commanders in the field who are engaged daily, risking their lives to bring peace and security to Iraq, determine when and how we can best turn over to the Iraqi security forces the critical job, the critical job of assuring security."

Right you are, Senator Bond.

How true... yet these politicians have a hate on for Bush at any cost, which should be a separate issue, but don't use the soldiers as a tool for political gain.

Let me add this to all who read the post: one recent comment overheard by me on the Hugh Hewitt show this afternoon, spoken by John McCain in an interview with Wolf Blitzer: "If we leave Iraq prematurely they'll (terrorists) just follow us home."

Mark those words, citizens of America. Mark those words.

That and probably all the privileges multiculturalists want illegals to benefit from here.

Michael Franc at Townhall.com explains why the micromanagement of the War by 535 armchair generals back in D.C. is a bad idea:

Remarkably, Democrats reject the notion that they are "micromanaging" the Commander-in-Chief's constitutional authority to make military decisions during wartime. Instead, they speak of the "collaborative process" and "shared responsibility" between Congress and the President to "redefine the mission" or enact a new "management plan" for Iraq.

For several reasons, the Founding Fathers concluded Congress shouldn't do this. As Supreme Court Justice Robert Jackson wrote, the Constitution empowers the President "to command and direct the armed forces in their immediate movements and operations."

For a Congress determined to end the war, the remedy is straightforward and simple: Cut funding to the troops. Try running that up the flag pole.

LMC: your senator ABSOLUTELY rocks!!

Wordsmith: and of course, ALL the entitlements therein.

WS: management by more than two persons invites chaos. CHAOS. Oh yeah. Multiply some shit in there somewhere.

If they had let the people on the ground run this thing to begin with we would be bringing the troops home by now. But no, the politicians had to stick their fingers in it and screw it up. I am especially not happy about the Vietnam way of clearing an area of bad guys just to leave go back to base and have to come do it again next week.

Thank God for rational people like Senator Bond. There's nothing rational about Hagel, just as there's nothing Republican about him. He really ticks me off!

I just heard Bush say: "If either version comes to my desk I will veto it!" :)

Franc is correct: if you want to completely halt the war, just Man Up and admit it, then stop any funding for it. THEN let's see how the Democrats fair.
