(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

The Last One

Is this man the only government official left in the UK to utilise common sense?

Adm. Sir Alan West, the former navy chief who was recently named new Prime Minister Gordon Brown's security minister, said on July 8th:

Britishness does not normally involve snitching or talking about someone," he told The Sunday Telegraph. "I'm afraid, in this situation, anyone who's got any information should say something because the people we are talking about are trying to destroy our entire way of life."

He said preventing the radicalization of young British Muslims was his top priority. "This is not a quick thing," he said. "I believe it will take 10 to 15 years. But I think it can be done as long as we as a nation apply ourselves to it and it's done across the board."

It seems to me that this statement is a thing that should have come from the mouth of the British PM himself, instead of his appointed minister.

Gordon Brown has banned ministers from using the word “Muslim” in connection with the terrorism crisis.

The Prime Minister has also instructed his team – including new Home Secretary Jacqui Smith – that the phrase “war on terror” is to be dropped.

The shake-up is part of a fresh attempt to improve community relations and avoid offending Muslims, adopting a more “consensual” tone than existed under Tony Blair.

When you cannot even describe an enemy as an enemy, you have already lost the mental war.

Gordon Brown is, quite frankly, a very sad replacement for Tony Blair.

I suspect that Sir Alan West somehow managed to slip between the cracks; I'll wager there isn't much time extant before he finds himself mysteriously sacked by the Brown regime.

Yes, yes; wouldn't want to "offend" the enemy...idiots.

JJ: "offense," of course, being one of the WORST things we could possibly do to one of our Islamic brethren, considering that Islam is, after all, the ultimate religion of peace and tolerance.

I certainly hope he's not sacked, BZ. The UK needs to have at least one person with brains. It's a shame he's not the PM instead of that poor excuse for a human being they've gone and elected. Brown's the one that should be sacked, and with any luck, maybe that will happen. We can always hope!

My poor proud English husband weeps at what has become of his country of birth. (MORE LIKE CUSSES AT FREQUENT INTERVALS.)

Start at the mosques and work your way out. Don't like pork? Deal. Don't like women dressed like hookers? Deal. Don't like secular countries? Go home. And on and on.

Brown is an arse. Way to show how much they have neutered your country pansy!

Jenn: unfortunately, neutered has been the management of the UK.
