(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Demorats: Remember This

As a buttress to yesterday's post, I checked out the following from WeaselZippers (referred to me by Mark) whereupon it is written:

It might come as a surprise that the country with the largest oil reserves is not Saudi Arabia, Iran or Venezuela, but Canada.

Yet America’s No. 1 trading partner is concerned that the U.S. doesn’t want its oil. Canada has an estimated 1.6 trillion barrels of oil on its territory. Saudi Arabia has an estimated 270 billion barrels. But much of Canada’s oil is locked in tough-to-excavate tar sands in the province of Alberta.

Canada’s government recently sent U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates a
letter warning that it might not be able to sell the U.S. any of the oil America needs for national defense, according to the Financial Times of London.

You must be kidding me! Canada can't sell us more of the oil we need? Why not? To continue:

The reason: The Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, which was passed with “great gusto and self-righteousness by the Democratic Congress,” an editorial in Investor’s Business Daily (IBD) observes.

Under the Act, tar sands are considered an alternative fuel, and the law requires oil sold to the U.S. government from alternative sources to emit fewer greenhouse gases than oil produced from conventional sources.

Is there any point to this? In my opinion, there is not. And who had driven this process? Why, that would be the Demorats.

Please, remember this when you can't afford a tank of gas. When the costs of goods delivered by truck or rail (most everything extant) spiral into the stratosphere. When your wife or girlfriend takes the bus or light rail and is accosted or, God forbid, assaulted by the mingling scrotes or mentally deficient bums and human detritus frequenting mass transit during, to or from various stations.

I can tell you right now, I will never allow my wife to ride Sacramento buses or light rail and subject herself to the pond scum that can be found there.

Again, remember who placed the country onto the path it's obviously taking: lacking the energy necessary to keep it running; namely:

The Demorats.

Classifying the oil sands as a nonconventional fuel would unnecessarily complicate the integrated Canada-U.S. energy relationship,” said Tristan Landry, a spokesman for Canada’s embassy in Washington.

Let there be no mistake:

America lacks not for the fiscal means or the technical capabilities to build more refineries, more electrical generation stations, more infrastructure, more oil wells, enabling more energy independence until viable, workable and logical energy alternatives are identified and instituted in a mass fashion.

It's not that we can't; it's that we are internally constrained by political forces in the form of the Demorat Party under the pressures placed by various misled environmental factions spearheaded by the Religious Left.

I still to this day cannot understand what motivates the Left via the Demorats to continuously attempt to remove the power and independence of our great nation.

BZ,

I really don't want to pop your bubble but everything is going to be OK, believe me.

No party will ever do as much damage as the party of George W. Bush, ever.

I am exquisitely sorry Ranando, but I disbelieve that claim. I don't think we have any real idea of the damage that could potentially be done with a future Demorat-controlled White House, House and Senate. Granted, Bush won't be remarkably far behind but behind he shall be.

And "ever"? I won't even remotely attempt to speculate as to the damage that can be done in our extended future, to make Bush appear as Mother Teresa.

I SO would wish "everything to be okay."

ranando, Bush screwed up a lot of things, but he was still by far the lesser of two evils in the last two elections. If Gore or Kerry had won the situation would be far worse than it now is, and it's bad enough. Clinton was a practicalist while the other two are idealists (which may be Bush's core problem as well) so the Clinton administration cannot be used as a critieria of how they would have fared as President.

As far as the left goes, they simply don't care about people or America. They are pursuing some strange dream of garden paradise that, sadly, cannot possibly exist.

I'm glad you got that bit from Weaselzippers, dunno why I could not link that dang site.

One of these days perhaps somebody will fight the perfect war, and make no mistakes either in it or about it. Bush failed at it, but then, so has every other president, King, and general.

Shoprat's right that these clowns simply don't care about the average Joe, but as to pursuing some ideal I dunno, I think the likes of Gore and Edwards are simply leeches on society, they haven't got enough noodles in the noggin to be constructive, or provide a good or service that is in demand or beneficial, so they create demand by scaring people. scare you about "global warming" run legislation thru that forces utility companies to by carbon credits from who? why, Al Gore! of course! he's laughing all the way to the bank.
Edwards? he's just one of the sick bastards busy perverting our legal system by the new tort law lottery craze that's all the rage nowadays, have a hangnail? it surely must be caused by some big company, sue microsoft for billions!! some jury will award you something, after all you're a "little guy" suing a "big, nasty corporation" hell, sue the world into happiness!! scare them into paradise!! that's the democratic motto. (and a great money making scheme)

Life under the Dems might not be death but it won't be far from it...

Same can be said for the current asshole Repubs too though...

And if you think Bush is a f*ckup, wait til the angry little old man gets in office...

America is getting exactly what it has given itself, NADA, and as long as ANY of you, and I mean each and every one of you that reads this, ALL Americans, as long as YOU are willing to settle for the 'lesser' of anything, that is exactly what you're going to get...

The lesser...

Fred,

Nothing proves your point like these past primaries, there WAS a fair bit of talent showing in the GOP at first, who did we end up with? the angry old liberal who wants to import and many mexicans as possible and provide them as much government money as possible and kiss Ted Kennedy's ass as much as possible (an all day job there, to be sure).

I want a conservative party dang it! and I can't see the GOP leadership pulling their head out of their ass anytime soon.

I'm with Fred on this.

I've never understood that, "Lesser of two Evil" thing, WTF is that, I never settle for the, "Lesser of Two Evils." Never have, never will.

If you do then that's your problem, not mine.

We have no idea how Gore or Kerry would have been, that's impossible to know. Truman wasn't bad win it came to war.

I am ashamed of what this Republican Party has become, and I'm really ashamed of this so call F**k-up of a President has done.

No connection between Saddam and al-Qaeda reports The Pentagon Today after a complete investagation by The Joint Chiefs!!!!!!!!!!! Why the FUCK are, our kids dying in Iraq for?

and you ask why this country is going down the tube, good for anyone Democrat or Republican that wants Iraq over with NOW, right Fucking now.

Guys, we're on to some great ideas here, all we have to do is keep a couple of Bush loving Bots outta the mix and this can be a Conservative think tank, but you have got to keep the Bush supporters and Repub no matter what ASSHOLES out of the fray, they are the reason this nation is as screwed as it is...

I'd be suspicious about how the Pentagon study is reported. Scott Malensek spends an inordinately large chunk of his time pouring over intell reports, and he wrote the following comment in an FA post:

Ya know, I really don’t like to comment on a report I haven’t read in full, but I would like to ask if anyone’s read the key judgments section yet?
http://people.rwj.harvard.edu/~riyengar/insurgency.pdf

This is interesting because in many ways it is CONTRARY to what the McLatchy reporter claims. He claims there was no “operational relationship,” and that’s only partially true because the report does say Iraq was a state sponsor of terror, and did have operational ties to various groups-including Islamic radicals (another thing the reporter got wrong), and if we look closer anyone who knows anything about AQ knows that 2/3 of its leadership stemmed from Egyptian Islamic Jihad of which there’s plenty of evidence (FBI even confirms this) that Iraq supported EIJ . The report also suggests that Iraq sponsored other AQ affiliates, and it sounds like those groups were the forerunners of the AQ in Iraq coalition which was in Iraq before the war (and before they renamed themselves Al Queda in Iraq).

Honestly, just reading the the summary that I linked to makes it sound like
1) Almost all of the repeated claims from the right re regime ties are correct-NOT wrong
2) the McLatchy newspapers report is a COMPLETELY incorrect characterization of this report

One final thing, this is apparently pt II of V. The first part (The Iraqi Perspectives Project report) mentioned something called Blessed July, and that’s included in more detail in this.

I cannot WAIT to get a copy to read!!!

Why the FUCK are, our kids dying in Iraq for?

Because we have an all-volunteer military, comprised of ADULTS, serving in Iraq, being killed by enemy insurgents and Islamic holy warriors.

We're being lied to by our elected officials concerning energy.

For some reason they do not want the United States to be energy independent.

The lack of action is apparent and we remain hostages, mostly of the Middle East oil-producing countries and Hugo Chavez's Venezuela...and now we are being prepared to expect a Spring and Summer with $4.00/gallon gas.

We could be drilling in ANWR (in Alaska). We could be drilling off the coasts of Florida and California. Hell, we could be drilling in Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and a number of other places within our borders.

We haven't built any refining capacity in years.

We're being sold cars which will run on E85 Ethanol. Folks, there is not enough corn growing capacity in this nation to make much of a dent in terms of our demand for energy.

We send our hard-earned dollars to these Middle-Eastern terrorists so that they can plan their next assault on our citizens...
...and our politicians "fiddle while Rome burns".

It is time for all Americans to unite, and to tell our elected officials (all across the country) to get down to the business of doing what needs to be done to make us energy independent...
...otherwise it is only a matter of time before you'll be paying $5.00 or $6.00/gallon.
