This would mean global temperatures have not risen since 1998, prompting some to question climate change theory.

Amazing. Once again, the reason why The Left are religious. Global Warming isn't science; it's a belief system.

What is the process where magma rises to the surface of the planet? It is called 'stoping'. What does it do when it breaks the surface? That is called a volcano. Is it related to ice sheets? No, it is an internal process of Rock 3 and independent of surface weather and climate.

Basically the Times of London is saying that the Greenland ice sheet is melting due to a large magmatic intrusion and general uplift of the island itself.

One would think this would be *noticed* by the geophysical population as anything going *that fast* must be damned near the surface. Instead the ice sheets *expanded* this year... greatly... both poles over the last year. Antarctic ice is at its furthest reaches as far as our records go. Arctic ice returned with avengance, becoming thicker and more extensive than ever before. Oceanic temperatures are going down... hmmmm... what's that about global climate?

Get this religion out of politics. It has as much science behind it as the great pinball theorist Velikovsky had, which is to say *zero* evidence and *zero* knowledge about physics.... in fact contrary evidence abounds and was ignored by trite, western communists. Carbon offsets are so subjective. If 'THEY' think that ALGORE putting solar panels in his house is enough to offset his MAJOR jetfuel useage and other forms of carbon they are nuts. Completely nuts. I mean, how do they come up with figuring out how to offset it anyway. It is all subjective and feel good crap to justify their lie.

ONe thing I am sick of is hearing all these stupid 'green' commercials about saving us from a climate disaster one person at a time. I have to keep reiterating to my son that it is a lie, and remind him of the truth.

It is everywhere. All over t.v. and the average guy is convinced.

I even have friends that are brainwashed that I had to inform. They still think we are ruining our planet.

Our country is becoming neurotic and fearful of everything. They are making life harder. It would be nice to go back to the old days when life was simple.
(Of course, I have to admit I LOVE the technology aspect of today.. i-phones, computers etc.. Wouldn't want to go back that far..); Sun Apr 06, 03:27:00 PM PDT
