Bloviating Zeppelin: Energy Quote

Bloviating Zeppelin

(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Energy Quote

President Bush said on Saturday:

Our problem in America gets solved when we aggressively go for domestic exploration. Our problem in America gets solved if we expand our refining capacity, promote nuclear energy and continue our strategy for the advancing of alternative energies as well as conservation," he said.

"One interesting thing about American politics these days is those who are screaming the loudest for increased production from Saudi Arabia are the very same people who are fighting the fiercest against domestic exploration, against the development of nuclear power and against expanding refining capacity."

All very true. But where was this language seven years ago, President Bush?

There are no words to describe the ways that Bush has turned this nation upside down, shaken it and run off with the money...

I know that you have a couple of certified Bush can do NO wrong Bots that post here and I know they already hate me so this won't matter one way or another...

George W. Bush is the biggest failure that this nation has ever experienced in the Oval Office, worse than Jimmy Peanuts, mostly because Peanuts was a one term president...

The 'lesser of two evils' is a pretty much accepted thing when talking about Bush and his 2 past opponents, Gore and Kerry, both were definitely worse than Bush but when you elect the lesser of the evils, you still get evil, and in most cases, with Bush, we got a freaking moron...

Prepare for an even worse round in November, the Bush Bots become McCainiacs and once again most folks will sacrifice their principles and vote for the angry little old man, and once again we'll get the lesser of the evils, except in this case, I'm not in any way convinced that he's ANY lesser than Clinton and only slightly lesser than Obamarama...

In other words, hang on to your wallets, hide your guns and pray, America is about to take the biggest fucking in her history...

My problem is not with when the president said it. My problem is that what he said is over optimistic.

Increasing domestic crude and fuel capacity will help with the price of fuel somewhat but oil is so in demand that it will retain a very high price for a very long time.

Other forms of energy will yield similar results.

As for conservation, I have hearing that but at least, he practices what he preaches. Remember, this man runs a $150 electric bill on his private home in Texas. It doesn't hack me off like hearing that crap from hypocrites like Gore.

Hey Fred, why do keep up with the "Bush can do no wrong" crap? Just because I don't hate his ass doesn't mean I'm in love with the dude.

If George screwed us, what has congress done? if congress and the Pres.screwed us, who put them in the position to?

Frankly, I think the Hysterics thrown Bush's way really is the Psychological displacement Dr. Sanity so often discusses, the electorate does not, and will not, accept responsibility for their actions. like little petulant children they turn their angst and anger at the figurehead, so they don't have to look in the mirror, and make any changes, or reflect on their actions, like who they vote for. or look at the dangerous condition of the world as it is. they can blame one man for all the worlds ills, for Violent Muslim terrorists, for an energy crunch this very electorate is responsible for by seeking out every kooky wild eyed tree hugging save the planet freak and sending them to Washington.
Why is fuel so expensive? we the people made it that way! but hell! we saved the snaildarter, and the spotted owl, and the whales didn't we? lets all feel good about ourselves, and blame the patsy for whatever goes wrong.

The next 4 years may be the biggest Fucking America has ever had but my Ass is still hurting from the last 8 years.

I don't know who's going to be our next President but I do know one thing for sure. George W. Bush has been the most anti-American, Pro-Illegals, Pro-Muslim, and without a doubt the worst President this country has ever seen, just look around.

I don't know if the consumers can do that much to stem the rise in the tide that is fuel prices, but I do know that it really ticks me off when I get passed by every one , their brother, and their cousin from Mexico while I'm driving the speed limit and they are waiting for me at the next red light.

I want an income that would allow ME to flagrantly burn off gasoline at the rate of $4.00 every five minutes. And a conscience that wouldn't be nagging me every second I was doing it...

The Award for Shortest Time Between Global Warming Believer to Apostate: President George W. Bush.

What was it? Three weeks? A month?

Apparently all public officials will have to do this, save for the hardcore true believers... but de-programming from a cult takes awhile. I hope GWB starts a 12-Step Program for this.

I think Bush should have said this a long time ago. Really, not just Bush but the REpubs in congress SHOULD have been pushing domestic drilling and gone against the enviro's. a LONG TIME AGO. It is their spineless acceptance of liberal environmental issues that has caused the huge mess we are in. They could have stood up a long time ago.

LOL! As I would be a complete moron if I didn't know Fred considers me one of the so-called "Bush bots" who post here, I must correct him. I don't "hate" Fred. I don't consider him, or anyone else, anyone important enough to actually hate. Hatred always turns back on the hater and makes one bitter. It's not for me. :)

I agree with you, BZ. President Bush should definitely have said this far earlier than now when his term is coming to a close.

I also echo BWH. "Just because I don't hate President Bush doesn't mean I'm in love with the dude." I've been very upset with him on several issues for quite some time now, but I don't hate him like some people do.
