I was watching the opening BS from Code Pinko and the like, and it struck me as odd that they would protest the one political group supporting their cause. BUT it's typical of Cindy Shebeast to protest a narrow view rather than see the big picture.

Honestly I see Hillary as having a better chance than Obama. I would be more inclined to vote None of the Above if Hillary was the alternative. I would be more inclined to vote for her as a protest against the dem lite version we are stuck with. BUT I can not by proxy or any other way allow Obama that benefit. Obama will be way too far left for us to recover from.
IMO of course.

WMD: hey, that's DAMN good!

Bush: the HARD Left are incensed at the Demorats for not COMPLETELY halting the Iraq war the week after they came to power. Sheehan, as you likely already know, is running AGAINST Pelosi in SF and I'll be a monkey's uncle if she may not actually have a shot -- the electorate is THAT stupid there.

And ditteaux about Obama. But just watch: I'm thinking Hillary might pull something out of her sleeve during the convention.

I keep hearing this blow-heart Sean Hannity asking folks to name three things Obama has done that qualify him to be President.
*
1. He filled out the paper work.
2. He made his announcement.
3. He won the most primaries.
*
Besides that, does it really matter? The American people voted for him in the primaries and he won the most votes.
*
Is this or is this not the United States of America, I thought anyone that could get these three things together has the right to run. No where have I ever read that you have to be a Senator, Congressman, Governor. This process is open to anyone, from any walk of life, period.
*
No, I’m not an Obama supporter but I am an American that believes in the American Dream. He was raised by a single mother and was very poor. He put himself through collage and law school and he now running for the highest office in the land. I don't know about you but I think he's more qualified to be President than George W. Bush. Obama has succeeded at everything he has done, Bush has failed at everything he had ever tried to do and had his parents to bail him out on all occasions.
*
I don't need to support someone to give them credit where credit is do. For him to make it this far, he deserves credit.
*
Just saying.

Ranando, I disagree with you on a couple of things there.
1.All the American People didn't vote for him, Democrat Americans voted for him and only 51% at that. He has not been anointed yet.

2.Everyone has the right to run, BUT when you run you need to run with more than words about change, you need to have some type of resume.
IF you apply for a job and tell the guy you want the job because the other guy sucks and you want change, but you haven't done, seen or been involved in the process, do you get the job?
3.Your hatred of GWB is an opinion, but prior to his election wins, he ran a big state, and by most accounts he ran it well. He was elected and served his first term fairly decent, his Iraq issues while not popular in MOST of our eyes will be his legacy.

I am not a GWB supporter after his "Amnesty/open borders/Letting Border agents sit in Jail. But I am not willing to say his Middle East policy is a total bust and throw all the lives lost and wounded in the tank just yet. Better folks than I know way more about the details and I think that will be left to the historians. Maybe 20 years from now, we will hear that the Iraq actually was the best thing that could have been done? (Doubtful but it could happen)
It has happened before.

BUT I do know that Obama is not the right man for the Job, I wouldn't hire YOU to work for me unless you had some experience in what I do, I wouldn't expect you to hire me for my good looks and charm.
And we should expect more of the leader of the free world.

Rob,

I said the American people voted for him and he won his primaries, it was Americans wasn't it?

I never brought up his qualifications for being President, I brought up that he has met the qualifications to run for President. In the United States that's all you have to do to run for the office is meet the qualifications and win your primaries, he's done that. After that if you win the Presidential Election, your in.

The people will decide if he's qualified or not.

I don't agree that you need experience to be President of the United States, in fact I beleive the least experience the better, what you need is common sense and great people around you.

I would far more like to see an experianced businessman or women become president than a career politician.

As you have said many times, vote these assholes out, I agree.

Is he qualified to be President?, yes he is. Has he qualified to run for the office?, yes he has.

Now it's up to the American people. As for me, I really don't care because I have no plans on voting for him but IMO and for what I've seen the last eight years, he's more than qualified.

I want to see more main-stream Americans running for office, I want to see people like us, you and me running for these offices.

How hard can it be?

Rob,

Let me add this……

I think we’re confusing qualifications and experience, my fault.

Is he qualified to be President? Yes, he has met all the qualifications to run for the office. If he wins the Presidential Election he will be President.

Is he experienced enough to be President? That will be up to the American people to decide.

Two separate issues in my view.

If Mr. Hannity had asked, “Give me three things that Obama has done to show he has the experience to be President” I would not have mentioned it.

Just one more thing....

People don't get hired to be President of the United States, they get elected.

That's a big difference.

Yep Vote em all out, but in this day and time, we need a Reagan, not a Carter. We need a statesman to confront the Russian Resurgence not an appeaser to stab our allies in the back.

I wouldn't have a problem voting all the folks currently holding office in DC OUT every congressman and woman OUT. But to replace them? I don't think it would be good to have a Burger flipper, or a hairstylist making policy or laws. I think there needs to be some kind of knowledge about world events, and how government works.

BTW
They were Americans that voted for him, they were just a small section of Americans, not all of America is what I meant.

Obama can be worse than Bush. Bush could turn out to be the "Reagan" compared to Carter after this next election.

McCain wont be worse than Bush, he may be the same as Bush, he may still try the Amnesty push, but we beat that down last time and I think we can do that again.

I disagree with that too Ranando, WE hire the next president, They are supposed to work for us. We are their employer and they are competing for that job, Unfortunately we as employers have different ideas of what the candidate should believe.

I wonder why would someone that is already rich, and makes more money than the President does, with far less pressure would even want the job?

I sure as hell wouldn't want it. And I am very sure the World as a hole wouldn't want me to have it either.

ranando...don't you think experience should count for SUCH a huge position? Hannity's not being less egalitarian when he's worried that a community organizer really isn't qualification to run this country!

Americans are looking at Obama as RASPUTIN these days; some mesmerizing CHANGE machine and they don't even know all the change is coming from THEIR pockets.

BZ..that cartoon is FABULOUS! Just add Ted kennedy, who I just read MIGHT appear, tho the camp's saying "probably not" ...they say "If he's having a good day and the doctors say okay". he must be in really bad shape.

Monday, I'm asking about why people think Obama wouldn't pick HIllary since HE HAD TO KNOW they'd win HANDS DOWN. Something weird about that..come tell me what you think.

GREAT cartoon...thanks.

Z: the Rasputin remark -- rather pointed.

Ranando & Bushwack: interesting points. But I still don't believe that Bush is remotely close to Carter in terms of presidency, and if Obama is elected I believe we'll be WISHING for the days of GWB.

You missed one Qualification

He must be 35 years old

He must be born a US citizen ( which is still in question)

If Obama is elected president I can guarantee we will be wishing we still had George Bush! Sheesh!

Neither is Hannity a "blow heart" Ranando. Of course you are entitled to your opinion, but I think Hannity is right on the mark. A president should have something called "qualifications" in order to be president. He should also be a person of good "character" and I personally believe the people Obama has been hanging around with don't do anything to make him appear to be a man of good character.

BZ, I love the cartoon. Let the games begin! :)

As always and once again Gayle, you completely missed the point.

Neither of these two guys have any charactor or morals. Obama hangs with the wrong people and McCain cheats on his wife.

The Democrats have suddenly developed a keen sense of morality. John Edwards has been banned from making a speech at the democratic convention for having an affair and lying about it.

In his place Bill Clinton will be speaking.
