Bloviating Zeppelin: Refusing To Be Specific

Bloviating Zeppelin

(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Refusing To Be Specific

Here is Barack Hussein Obama at his obfuscatory best and, more pointedly, note the actual refusal to make a true comment:

DALLAS - U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama side-stepped a pointed query about abortion on Saturday by “mega-pastor” Rick Warren during a televised forum.

Asked at what point a baby gets “human rights,” Obama, who strongly supports abortion rights, said: “… whether you’re looking at it from a theological perspective or a scientific perspective, answering that question with specificity . . . is above my pay grade.”

There you have it. All you need to know about Barack Hussein Obama.

When in doubt? Refuse to answer. The Leftist Mushheads will STILL love you.

Well, if you are a federalist and wish to leave it up to the States, then you can still not answer the direct question but place it where it belongs: outside of the federal government.

Our problem is that we did not do that... and no one wants to talk about the civics end of it. And so we are left at loggerheads, with absolutes fighting onwards and finding no way forward. Perhaps it is time to ask a different sort of question... or seek an answer not based on 'either side'.

It would be an imperfect solution.

But then 'perfect' solutions start to sound like 'final solutions'.

As Nixon said: 'Solutions aren't the answer.'

I would have respected the "states" answer. He is insufficently sage to even suggest that.

I agree with RGRoland! LOL!

I just posted videos of both McCain and Obama's answers at the Saddleback Church on Abortion. What a difference!

I was very happy with McCain yesterday. His answers were quick and specific. He didn't hedge at all, unlike Obama.

I for one only have one objective, to make sure the GWB Administration doesn’t continue. All one has to do is look around at the condition of our country to see that GWB was/is the worst this country has to offer.

Who ever will put my country back on track has my vote, plain and simple.

What will we get for $200K?

A scary thought. Is he THEN going to say "I'm not getting paid enough?" when things get tough?

I think you're so right,BZ...he really revealed himself with that one statement. Weren't you pleased about McCain's performance?

Too bad that, though people know it's the congress that's messed us up so badly (their numbers are lower than Bushes!), Americans will still stupidly vote in the liberals.........unreal.

You know eventually GWB will be out of office, and ten years from that point historians will tell us if GWB was as bad as some of us think.

I lost all confidence in GWB at the moment he refused to release Ramos/Campeon, and secure the border.

McCain has yet to gain my confidence that he will secure the border, and I have not heard any question put to him about the border agents.

I like McCain's Iraq views, I like his steadfast support of the military, and I like the way he states his positions...

It appears that I will have to vote for the lesser of two evils (Again) because I sure as hell don't want that commie prick Obama running things.

Everything that has gone wrong with our country since GWB took over would have happened anyway. Neither Gore nor Kerry have any interest in securing the border, controlling the slow jihad nor protecting our true civil rights. Bush has not had two great terms but I really believe it would be far worse under Gore or Kerry. He WAS the lesser of two evils the last two times.

Making abortion a state issue is the second best answer. A constitutional amendment making a fetus legally human is even better. Sadly that won't happen.
