Another Reason She's MY Wife

My honey is nothing if not highly intelligent, and she loves me with all her heart. What other wife would:

1. Purchase a Sig-Sauer P239 for her hubby as a birthday present;

2. Change her voter registration from Demorat to Republican this week.

Yes, that's correct; my lovely wife, completely cognizant of the fact that the Electoral College plays a huge part in the presidential election, threw another registration for the GOP into the mix, and took a number away from the Demorats in the state of Fornicalia.

She admits she's a neophyte when it comes to politics but has become, since she's met and married me, more involved in her political surroundings than at any other time. I completely salute her for her epiphany and realization. And she freely admits she's rolled this way due to her pointed opposition of the Obamessiah.

Further, she's not completely taken with McCain but Sarah Palin resonates particularly. Imagine that. And she is quiet about this.

Think she just might be the real heartbeat Of America?

Once again, I am so proud of her. I love my honey with all my winkin' little occluded heart.

I consider myself "Republican light" that is: liberal on social issues but conservative on fiscal and national security. I am frustrated that if you stray one iota from the "Bush kool-aid, Taliban Republicans" people in the blogosphere just start calling you a traitor and stuff.
I am a veteran and have put myself on the line for this place: the U S of A and yet a bunch of a'holes who have never risked anything have the gall to call me a traitor.

I Will be voting for Obama. Not because he is really who I want but because we have given the Republican'ts 8 years and things are really bad compared to when W. took over.
McCain, ( whom I voted for in the 2000 primary) has been very irratic of late and SPalin is, in my opinion, just not ready for the national stage. I cringe at the thought of her as President.

I have several guns myself, but no pistols as of late. I used to have a nice .32 Barreta ( James Bond gun) but pawned it for a nice shotgun. I later sold that to a buddy.

I still have a nice 30.06 w/ a great scope and a MAK-90 w/ a crate of Chinese and Czechoslovokian armor pirceing rounds ( let's face it man, you'll never know when sh@t will turn to sh@t until it's too late) just in case I need somthing like that.

I also have a couple of .22 rifles, a Muzellloader and this or that, so I am a "gun guy" too.

It's just so funny how if you don't go lock step with all the neo-con talking points that you are instantly attacked by right wing blogovia.

I like the fact that as we have interacted at SR's place that we have conversed without all the name calling and crap that I have gotten from others.

I hope that we could be "blog buddies" because although I don't agree with everything that you do there is a lot of common ground, and that's what we need in this country: consensus and not infighting.; Sun Oct 05, 07:11:00 PM PDT

It's our anniversary today and so it was nice to read about a husband so fond of his wife (I think I'm in love with your wife after reading she changed parties!)
And I'm a girl! (So I have NO idea what that gun is, but I'm sure it's nice!)

As for her changing parties, I'm so glad there are Democrats with their eyes open. Obama's so not ready. Plus, I've read his books and they're so racist it's scary. WHY aren't people waking up yet?
He wants to tax corporations MORE and then says we need to keep jobs here! Picture HIM with a Democrat congress!???!! We'll never recover. I'm so fearful!
Palin has more experience than he does, and loves this country in the ways WE do! The ways the fuonding fathers did....protecting our LIBERTY more than harping on equality. Liberty first! For all, right?
