Bloviating Zeppelin: A Purposefully Reduced Flow of Fuel

Bloviating Zeppelin

(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

A Purposefully Reduced Flow of Fuel

Just when you thought you might be getting a bit of an economic break in terms of the price you're paying for fuel at the pump -- gird thy loins, it won't remain that price for long:

Dec. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Crude oil rose for the first time in seven days in New York after the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries’ president said there was consensus for a “significant” production cut when the group meets next week.

A “severe” cut may be needed to halt the decline in prices, group president Chakib Khelil told the Associated Press in a Dec. 6 interview. Slowing world economies will trim global demand growth to 0.2 percent next year, the International Energy Agency said Dec. 5.

As a comedian once said: "Drink up, Shriners."

P.S.
Posting, temporarily, on a computer not my own. And the company I've contacted for an alternate internet source is evidently not particularly interested in acquiring my money as they've not yet re-contacted me.

Am I the only noticing that, in this economy, businesses large and small, commercial and retail, and still pretty much indifferent towards the customer? I find this quite stunning; no one seems much to care.

"Customer Service" is fast joining "Common Sense" as items in short supply everywhere.

Customer Service, as a whole, has been declining for several years, and it started when certain companies, who traditionally offered entry-level positions for high-school age workers, started hiring those who need less money (or are willing to work for less money) because they aren't in the country legally.

More than an opportunity, certain fast-food companies taught these young minds how to treat a customer. Those who are here illegally bring their attitude of not caring with them.

You know, Cary, that's an issue for an entire blogpost of its own. Apparently I'm not the only one making this observation.

Customer service is THE reason Rob and I split off from those douchebags at StartLogic...

Customer service, or LACK of, is why I have dropped blog rolls... We can all make a list of blogs, WordPress has pages, Blogger allows linking, screw those bastards at Blogrolling...

Opera browser has a nice blog, too. I have one there and it has worked very well for me. Check it out here:

I don't like the 'purposefully' reduced flow of fuel idea. That isn't right. They aren't supposed to do anything to 'fix' prices like that.

I agree with you about customer service issues. It is common.

The rise in gas prices was like a bubble followed by a bit of an over-correction followed by another correction around a realistic price, which will probably still be bit higher than I want.

Good luck finding a good provider. I had a great one when I first started on the net until it got bought out by a big chain who took all our equipment to a larger market and we got stuck with garbage.

Bailout BZ, that's what it's all about, don't worry about being efficient and being profitable, don't worry about the customers or providing what they actually want, it's all good when uncle sam is always around to save your butt.

Mksviews: welcome aboard, thanks for commenting, please come and visit any time. I would like to think you're incorrect but now, after this factory thing in Illinois where the fired workers have refused to leave and BHO has "endorsed" their actions, I'm wondering about a lot of things.
