(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

People Will Vote:

With their feet and with their pocketbooks and wallets.

Let me be blunt: a massive wave of inflation is on the horizon. Did I say: massive?

So, with this in the offing, the bulk of your liberal, "progressive" and Demorat politicians think it's a wonderful idea to increase your taxes on every level imagineable:

  • Local
  • State
  • Federal
Nature abhors a vacuum. And when taxes, proscriptions, overbearing laws, obfuscated regulations, limitations and micromanagement result in the neck-crushing of business in highly populated (read: Blue State/Liberal/Demorat) areas, then guess what?

People will vote with their feet and their wallets.

Meaning that there will be a business exodus from blue states to the "flyover" or red states.

Because the Leftists/Socialist/Demorats/Progressives don't understand that businesses believe their primary purpose is to make a profit and not to enable social engineering. Because they're private. Imagine that.

If you live in a Blue or Liberal State, gird thy loins:

  • Your taxes will skyrocket;
  • Regulations will grow;
  • Inflation will run rampant;
  • Your wages will stagnate or even decrease;
  • Local businesses will close;
  • Jobs will leave -- perhaps yours;
We are going to be in a period of transition but, as I pointed out, because nature does in fact abhor a vacuum, businesses will survive.

The future exists in the Mid West states and away from any coast. Get prepared. You thought inflation in the past was bad? You've yet to see real inflation.

You read it here first.

Yup, dead-on.

First you are put out of work, then your money is made worthless and then you are dependent upon government for supplying everything to you. I'm no great fan of Dick Morris but his analysis is pretty decent on this: money taken out of circulation now, when it has value, inflated, then unleashed at its devalued rate to cause another and deeper recession in a couple of years... assuming we get out of this one, first.

And inflation due to energy and clothing costs is coming back, you gotta love that. Add in cap'n'trade and no new oil drilling and all the lovely 'green' junk that costs too much for too little return but makes the folks putting it up dependent on government hand outs and raises your cost of energy and increases inflation which then gets more money pumped out by these vast 'withholdings' done now?

What part of the worst of Herbert Hoover, FDR, LBJ, Jimmy Carter and Woodrow Wilson isn't included in that?

And the administration wants to cut off a revenue stream by melting expended military brass cartridges instead of letting private companies buy it to re-use it? Hitler wasn't this stupid, while Stalin was... and even Stalin recognized the need for good marksmanship amongst the lower class. So to get this stupid you have to end up at Castro, Pol Pot, the magical kingdom of NoKo... and now the UK, India, most of continental Europe.... the former of which has a crime spree like you wouldn't believe and the latter of which didn't have a single citizen with a handgun to take out a terrorist in Mumbai and the police were afraid to use their rifles.

This Leftest ideal leads you to no good whatsoever. If you need it, get it now. I am unlucky enough to be dependent on medications now too expensive for anything but a health care plan, so I don't have that option... thanks to the lovely 'medical insurance' system making off-patent drugs horrifically expensive, tyvm to the asinine idea of 'controlled medications'. Remember, when you rail against narcotics, you are also depriving those of us who depend on non-narcotics valuable medication at a low cost to assuage your 'good intentions' to the point where good and cheap medications are hellaciously expensive. And now my money will be worth LESS in the very near future. While those with good intentions moan and let their hearts bleed into legislation, my life blood becomes astronomical as a result. And I don't even get the benefit of being an addict, getting high, or even being more than somewhat more awake rather than collapsing a number of times a day.

Such sweet and *good* intentions. Such horrific outcomes for ordinary citizens.

Good job on this telling American citizens what they can and cannot do with their lives! You could have effects based laws like public endangerment and the like instead of putting bad intentions into the use of these drugs.

Thanks... for nothing.

Those sweet dreams will now turn into a blood soaked nightmare.

Hey BZ:
Well since we both live in CA, what is your advice? To move or to grin and bear it and build stores? My approach has been to accumulate gardening tools and good quality seeds, along with skills that are useful no matter where one lives. And yes, inflation is already here in many ways. FOOD PRICES is where it has already reared its head.

What happens here is just a snapshot of what will happen to the rest of the country. And while I feel as though there are too many restrictions for doing business in CA, we at least have consumer protections that some states don't have at all.

I wanna stay here and don't wanna move out. California is such a beautiful place!

BZ, I'm afraid your dire predictions aren't dire enough. When the hyper inflation hits, it won't be just the "blue states", it's gonna be all of us. Welcome to Zimbabwe II, the sequel.

CJ: again, as per normal, exquisite. Why can't we see you on your own cable channel??

Mahndisa: at this point I WAS going to retire next year but, at this rate, NO. If I were to leave this state I couldn't take what slim stream of medical is left with me, purposely, because every agency is pulling out of medical coverage for their troops anyway. Some businesses can be mobile; I'm discovering just how portable I am not. Just in Fornicalia it's estimated that YOUR yearly taxes to the state will be going up a minimum of $1,100. That's NOT counting the NEXT budget year.

Here's a clue, Mahndisa: vote NO on EVERY proposition on the ballot on May. NO ON EVERY ONE.

wow... troubling words, but they'll become true if things keep going in the same direction. I'm here in florida, and though our state taxes are non existant, we're paying for it other ways.even higher tobacco taxes, insane property taxes, and here in fort myers where I live we have one of the worst unemployment rates in the country. we're paying for the sunshine as we watch cuba drill oil just off our coast, while we're sitting here complaining about oil issues. my question is, if we decided to open up the sea to find oil down here, will any of our taxes go up, and if so, would it be because of the excess revenue from the oil that we'll have as more people will move here for jobs?

Guess who came to my door last Friday? Animal control. They know we have dogs. Are they all licensed? Do they have their shots? You have to license your dog. Oh, and you have to bring in the rabies shot. Or there will be fines.
Yep. New ways to get revenue. I'm sure more is coming.

TF: the SR-71 -- my favorite aircraft! I've been compiling info for a post about the SR-71, to be published shortly. . .

Chris: FL is a coastal state suffering under the Thumb of State as well; just you wait, sir, you'll HAVE your state tax very shortly.

Jennifer: I am not shocked. Two points: 1) That will teach you about answering your door. 2) In a quest for funds, ANY funds -- TO BE AGAIN SPENT ON THE NON-PRODUCERS AND PARASITES -- government is stooping to the LCD, AND in the process is systematically removing your freedoms and placing us all into Socialist/Nannyist State.

Trust me, the next knock on your door will go something like this:

1) To check your lightbulbs to see if you're completely CFL compliant;
2) To see if your thermostat is set to what the GOVERNMENT thinks is "reasonable" and to see if you're meters and HVAC are linked to the local providers who can CONTROL the interior of your home AT WILL.

If non-compliant, you will be marked for an individual tax hike. AND you WILL be FINED for your non-compliance.

Speaking of energy vcosts going higher has ANYONE noticed that oil has roughly 40% (from $35 to over$50) a barrel in the last 2 monthes? Dont hear that in the MSM now that there is no Bush to blame for the run up.

Mahndisa
The worst part about being in CA when it hits the fan is the MASSIVE number of people who havent done a DAMN thing about preparing to care for themselves. It wont matter how much seed, learning about agriculture, stocking up on firewood, provisions, precious metals, guns or ammo. When 20 to 30 MILLION people who believed Obama would take care of them come knocking on the door you wont have enough.

GHB: thanks for visiting and thanks for the comment. Then please, show us how love will extricate our government from damning our children and our children's children out of the fiscal pit we're creating for them now. And how love will create food for them. How love will create jobs for them. How love will ensure no more of our freedoms are lost. How love will ensure we don't go Socialist or Borg. How love will keep the government from intruding on every part of our lives?

GHB, can you help me with this? I am actually listening.

In the 40 years I have lived in NJ we have never been issued a warning to shovel our sidewalks after a snowstorm. Well, guess what happened a couple of weeks ago. A township truck made the rounds in the neighborhood and placed notices on each house that if we did not clear the walkways the town would send someone out to do the work and the cost would be added onto our property tax bill. First of all it was a fluke March snowstorm and secondly it was 60 degrees on the day they made their rounds.

Jennifer,

What we termed the Pet Gestapo went around door to door here awhile back and demanded to come in and inspect. I reminded them of the 4th Amendment and told them to come back with a search warrant issued by a judge. Never saw them again.

We're right now where Germany was in the 1920s and early 1930s. With the same type waiting in the wings to take over. In fact, some are already in power — think The Messiah — and the Mandatory National Service Act has already passed the House with 70 RINOs voting along.

Say "Sieg Heil" to the nice people.
