The United States: Where Is She Going?

So there I was, thinking I was being just a tad original, when I visited Texas Fred and saw this same video. But fear not, for I fervently believe that, as likely does TF, this video needs to acquire as large an audience as possible.

The speaker portrays himself as a member of the US military; the photo intimates a Marine. Please listen to the video, then ask yourself:

How much of this content is warranted?
Is the man merely an extremist and to be chastized or even arrested?
Or is he merely a truth teller?

Is he a modern-day Paul Revere?

and to answer your questions...All of it is warrented. He's a patriot not only an extremist. Three Score and Ten or more said...: I am not sure why he has hidden his face, except for the implied willingness to go into armed insurrection, everything he said has be said or written in public. Sean Hannity (bless his tendency to say everything forty two times) has said most of it. Most conservative talk shows have made the statements. Certainly there isn't much there that I haven't said in public (with no fear of reprisal) (I have never threatened to use my guns against the government, but equally I believe that an armed society is a safer society. On the other hand, I have had much to do with the courts over the years, and if someone came to my door to take me away, I know lawyers that could and would protect me (as Iknow some that would work in the other direction.; Wed Mar 04, 09:49:00 PM PST

The part that really scared me was "..enemies, foreign and domestic"..that never resonated with me before.

I consider this guy a patriot of the first water.

That being said, I can understand his image - he shows us he has served (and well, according to his left chest billboard) and at the same time he does not want us to think that the USMC is endorsing his particular view - which the USMC cannot do. Giving us his creds and distancing himself from any organization at the same time, so to speak.

Here's my wacko opinion. (And it is a bit out there.)
One of the reasons there has been a massive push to disregard the second amendment is NOT to "make our streets safer", but to keep us from the armed resistance that might ensue if American liberties are done away with.
I'm not talking about repression. All governments engage in repression. The Patriot Act is an excellent example. Some liberties were suspended.
I'm talking about the general disregard of the people's will. Our government has skirted closer and closer to the edge of this end. I'm sure they would rather face an unarmed, easily persuaded population than an armed group of pissed off Americans.
Yeah, I know. I'm a nutjob. I keep it under wraps pretty well.

An awful lot of us were in the military and we took this oath, "defend the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic." I do not EVER remember being released from this oath when I left the service.

Revolting and defending the United States does not necessarily mean violently. It is my ferverent hope that the ballot box will be enough ammunition. Time will tell.
