(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

House Speaker Liar Pelosi vs CIA:

The Demorats are starting to cringe when Speaker Pelosi speaks.

They're worrying about smoke damage.

Even Leon Panetta, Democrat, current CIA Director, wrote to his personnel on Friday, 5-15:

Let me be clear: It is not our policy or practice to mislead Congress. That is against our laws and our values. As the Agency indicated previously in response to Congressional inquiries, our contemporaneous records from September 2002 indicate that CIA officers briefed truthfully on the interrogation of Abu Zubaydah, describing “the enhanced techniques that had been employed.” Ultimately, it is up to Congress to evaluate all the evidence and reach its own conclusions about what happened."

First, Speaker Pelosi disavowed any knowledge of enhanced "torture" methods.

Then she parsed her words.

The Washington Post counters her lies here.

This is just not looking good for Madame Speaker Democrat Nancy Pelosi.

Rush Limbaugh thinks that Madame Speaker should resign. Good damned luck, Rush.

Newt Gingrich thinks that Pelosi is vicious and dishonest, here.

The charge that the C.I.A. lied to her is an extremely serious one. She is now at war with the C.I.A., and it has the means by leaking selectively of destroying her, and I suspect it will do that."

She is now debating, like Willie J, what the definition of "is" is.
Then there is this; did she mis-speak?

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, her eyes wide, her hands gesticulating wildly, on Thursday laid out a third version of what she knew and when she knew it about the Bush administration's interrogation policies, edging ever closer to debating what the meaning of the word "is" is.
I say: there are consequences to one's actions.

You mean, the CIA wouldn't lie? I thought that was part of their job. I mean, they are spies and all.

Much as I despise most members of Congress I must applaud them on ONE issue.
If I had to sit there and list to that LYING TWAT every day I would have already walked up and Bitch Slapped her into next week.
I applaud them for their restraint.....Although it begs the question...........what if they are not Bitch slapping her because they are just not listening?
Much as in Iraq the DemocRATS realy know how to snatch Defeat from the jaws of Victory.........

BZ I read that touching post about your dad a few months? back. It was a beautiful letter, thanks for sharing it.

This bug-eyed freak Pelosi is BUSTED and I hope the Republicans sprout some juevos and go after her. You have no idea how happy it makes me that these idiots have trapped one of their own in this treason. I consider it just a small amount of justice for the way they drag our troops through the mud.

Mr Mous: I would trust any operative of the CIA light years before I would trust the mouthings of this current administration. There, I think that's rather concise.

CB: isn't it refreshing to be able to come here and just unload? Kinda feels liberating, doesn't it?

Jingoist: thank you very much for visiting and, further, thank you for taking the time to comment! I doubly appreciate your mention of my father and the letter. I am actually beginning to suspect there may be consequences for the Speaker in her future.

I am quite sure that there are many trustworthy and patriotic people serving in the CIA. But, as an organization, they are not worthy of anyone's trust, regardless of who is in the White House.

It is the CIA's implicit function to deceive. Lying is what they do.

It's far more likely that neither the CIA nor Pelosi are telling the full truth, than that Pelosi alone is lying while the CIA has been truthful.

There's a lot more going on here than you're seeing. Demonizing Pelosi is missing the forest for the trees.

Newt got to the bottom-line: Pelosi put the national security of the U.S. and our military - has jeoparidized the safety of everyone and scouraged the CIA.

It's a matter of national security, and while her despicable tendency to lie is unbelievable, considering her position, the bottom-line is national security.

Mark Steyn points to a statute saying "...a person who consipires to torture is subject to the same penalties as the actual torturer. Then points out, "That is, if you believe waterboarding is torture.":-)

I think she will go by the way of Alcee Hasting, Chris Dodd, Barney Fwank and the host of others - nothing will damage her enough for the Democrats to reject her.

Mr Mous: I COMPLETELY disagree with you.

If you were writing of the State Department well, then, I would have to agree with a heavy sigh. They are an appeasionist and Leftist entity entirely in conflict with any admin OTHER than Mr Obama's now.

In terms of forests for trees, Mr Mous, might I simply remind you of spending habits heretofore unseen in any other admin until now? And might I remind you of James Earl Carter? But to name a few?

But the CIA

The CIA is not a monobloc institution: it has the covert side and open side, it also has analysts and bureaucrats.

Which part 'deceives'?

Covert operatives, of course.
Some overt ones, by nature of coming from the covert side, do not draw the lines properly.

Bureaucrats fight for resources and to build fiefdoms, and so anything goes with them. That is the nature of all bureaucracy in the federal government, not just the CIA.

Analysts? These are the people who try to ferret out fact from fiction then analyze what they find and couch their terms on likelihoods and probabilities. There are very, very few certainties in the INTEL side of things. As an analyst using optical and multi-spectral systems, I had to know how you could deceive them, avoid them, give false images...and at conferences I learned that similar is done in all the other realms.

Do analysts lie? No, they use their skills to get to most likely situations that explain their information.

Do analysts tell the truth? They tell you within probabilities, degrees of certainty, how likely something is to be... not the 'truth' in a CSI sense but our understanding of things in an analytical sense.

When one smears the CIA you smear overt and covert, bureaucrats and analysts: you smear all. You smear those going undercover to infiltrate horrific organizations and regimes putting their lives on the line for YOU. That smear also covers analysts who spend years in working with material, learning the absolute limitations of their knowledge and the equipment capabilities, and then learn their topical matter and that never ends while you are an analyst. You go stale the moment you walk away from that realm, your information dates out and soon is worth little.

The bureaucrats, those building fiefdoms, those seeking to hide programs on the black budget? Note that includes a large number of Congress members also doing the EXACT SAME THING. Can we then start to apportion blame to those seeking personal power, those seeking personal fortune and those seeking to hide programs that need to see the light of day?

I put down the smear brush upon joining the federal government and now retired by health I refuse to take it up again. The scalpel, the meat cleaver and the chainsaw are what is needed. Those I stand by as good and decent tools to cut out the rotten wood, the decaying fiber and those who aid and abet the power builders from Congress. Those need the blinding scrutiny of daylight and a Congress willing to heft the chainsaw and start in on the federal forest, including that nasty one of black trees hidden from the light of day.

The Republic knows tools. Brushes are for authoritarians, despots and those looking to deceive to their own means. The Republic knows well of scalpels, cleavers, chainsaws and the Terrible Swift Sword flaming in enduring beauty. I use the tools of the Republic as I am bidden to do so.

The brush I leave for those seeking to divide society and turn it against itself. We must have the INTEL. We must have operatives who risk their lives for us all be assured that we will pull their fat from the fire if it comes to that. The dark trees and fiefdoms and empire builders I could do without. Both inside the government and Upon the Hill in the Halls of Congress. That won't help Pelosi, she lies through her teeth as seen from a MAY 02 interview: she knew what was going on and cited it.

I need a chainsaw and others to wield same. Mark out the deadwood and fire them up. The smear brush will only get us all killed... we need a Republic, not a democracy.
