Bloviating Zeppelin: A Piece of Michael Jackson

(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

A Piece of Michael Jackson

How many people do you think took a piece of Michael Jackson in death?

How many locks of his hair were cut?

How many photographs were taken, aside from official ones, at his home whilst he awaited medical treatment -- by cell phone cameras -- or other digital cameras prior to making any 9-1-1 call?

How many persons took a snippet of the clothing he wore in death?

How many persons took a small item from the room in which he was initially found?

How many medical or emergency responders took photographs of themselves, grinning or serious, in the box medic transporting him to the hospital?

How many doctors or nurses let themselves into his room for covert photos or "souvenirs" following his pronouncement?

How many persons will boast, in the coming days and weeks, that they will have a "piece of Michael Jackson" to sell, rent, loan, lease or retell?

With themselves, of course, being at the center of said point?

Michael Jackson, in life, was worth millions.

Trust me. His worth, in death, will be every bit as valuable. Wait a day. At most. Then check out eBay, YouTube, CraigsList.

And how did he get there?

Locks of hair were taken from Billy the Kid in death. And from Marie Antoinette, and Beethoven, and Charles I. Like items were taken from Bonnie and Clyde and from John Dillinger. It is rumored that multiple locks of hair exist from JFK but only upon his assassination. Check the photographs. History is my professor.

Sad. To me, he already looked dead while he was alive. Actually he probably was (Ephesians 2:1)

TF: you may laugh, but it depends upon the equipment upon the box medic that responded. If they didn't possess CPR masks (and I'll wager that LAFD did), or if police units responded and arrived first, they may or may NOT have had CPR masks. If not, they would have to have performed the chin-tilt and then a nasal occlude -- on a flat surface, in order to even BEGIN the CPR.

You make a point in jest; it's not a laughing point and may have actually been a factor in his survival.

David: though you may say he was in the ranks of the living dead, many persons point out his upcoming British concert (and perhaps revival) as a reason to keep on living.

We will, truly, never know.

I would submit this: Michael Jackson would NOT have even REMOTELY known how to COPE with actual OLD AGE.

Forgive me for saying this BZ, Especially in your forum, but quite frankly I am just glad the Child Raping Freak is dead.
How many lives did he ruin forever? Only to escape justice because of his money, fame and idiotic "fans". All the money in the world can not buy back those childrens Innocence, though it certainly bought the parents Complicity in the Crime.
May all of these monsters go the same way, in pain.

I'll have to admit what TF said is what I said to my husband when I found out he died. Not in jest, but in reality. RIP

Came over by way of the link that Always left on her blog.

I wasn't a Michael Jackson fan while he was alive and am not going to even begin to be now that he's gone although I admit I enjoyed him when he was the lead singer of The Jackson Five. I found his self-mutilation to be disgusting and gross. He did indeed have talent but he seemed to be lacking in far more important things than simply talent. It may have made him millions - possibly billions - and made him famous, but just look where his attitude and world view got him. In my opinion it's a tragic self-inflicted waste of a human life and proof that money and fame by themselves can't make anyone happy.

People are having such a hard time with this because like me when I was growing up MJ was a music god. He was everything, we all had posters of his, all his albums, we watched him on MTV back when they played music videos with rapt adoration... then he transformed into a freakish white woman with a lot of bad plastic surgery and allegations of child molestation and a bunch of other weird crap.

That being said, I mourn a bit for the child star he was and the incredible talent he HAD, and I celebrate now that his children will be set free. I have worried about those kids for years now they have a chance at a normal-ish life.

RaDena: thanks for coming over from AOW, welcome aboard and thanks for taking the time to comment.

CB: I still can't get over the fact that the jury found him NOT guilty in the face of what I thought was overwhelming and eye-witness evidence. Astounding.

AOW: thanks for the shout-out!

Rivka: upon consideration, you guys might be correct.

Jenn: now it looks like his in-home doctor had been providing demerol for some time and that he was injecting it himSELF. Demerol is tough to administer even in a hospital setting.

TF: you know, now that you wrote that, I'm actually beginning to wonder if something like that WILL just "magically" appear on eBay...

I find it highly disturbing that the media is fawning over this pedophiliac freak, while paying almost no attention to Farrah Fawcett, a woman who had more integrity in her little finger than Jackson had in his whole surgically altered body. I am thoroughly disgusted by this whole thing and the sooner it all goes away, the better. I won't miss him.

I am sad to read comments like he is a freak.

He was abused by his father his childhood was ripped away from him, this leaves scars that are hard to heal under normal circumstances and his life was far from normal.

I say this since I myself was abused (sexually, mentally and physically) as a child as now at age 28 I mourn the fact I never had the chance to be an innocent child, alltho I am dealing with it much better then MJ.

But think of the circumstances he was living in, people just wanted more and more from him, not caring what he wanted.

I truly believe he never molested a child, that he felt himself being a child just trapped in a body that was expected to act like an adult, which he couldnt.

The circumstances he lived in were beyond insane and I think that makes a person less cappable of making adult mature choices.

The world deemed his behavior inappropriate, not that I think all that plastic surgery and alletarions were normal, far from it.

But I do think people saw an easy prey, a person who couldn't defend himself and went after the money.

This is just my own opinion and I know its not shared with everyone.

Since I know very well what scars sexual abuse leaves behind, I deal with it every day, I wouldnt defend MJ if I truly believed he didnt commit those crimes, if I thought he did it I would curse him to hell.

People took advantage of him when he was a life and they certainly will now he is dead, no doubt about that. People have no self-respect just greed.

Sorry for any language mistakes, I dont have English as my mother tongue.

Two men died very close to each other. Near the same age, both famous in their way. One spurred on an industry to a new venue, but that industry was already huge and would get much larger... the other would take an industry that was a laughing stock, that no one gave any credance to and build it to a powerful force to help Americans. Both would lift us up through words, one to song and the other plainly and with passion.

One was an idol and superstar.

The other adored by those who loved his straightforward way of life and his passion for what he did.

One didn't do much of anything for a decade.

The other worked his ass off right up to the day he died.

One was Michael Jackson.

The other was Billy Mays.

I enjoyed a few songs from the former.

I admired the deep passion and commitment of the other to create a good life and share his belief that we deserve better for less... two for the price of one! With an extra-special, limited time offer if you act now!

I find the concentration on Michael Jackson to be obscene.

I find us ignoring Billy Mays to be a tragedy as he helped so many and was always what he presented himself to be, and was loved by many because he did work hard for what he got and loved it. All of it.

One was a nova of pop culture.

The other an enduring star of how we should bring passion to what we do each and every day of our lives.

I will only miss one of them.

Time to order an Awesome Auger before the supplies run out...
