Let me add my condolences. We've both lost friends on our PDs. Tough stuff. As for the article, I always read Paglia's stuff even though she's a leftie. When Paglia talked about how much damage Bush did around the world, my mind slammed shut.
Odd that it's only now that Bush is gone that we have no bargaining power anymore, huh? Even with Somali pirates who finally got their mojo against US when Obama the NICE GUY came into office.

I'd rather they were afraid of us than liked us, personally.
