(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

The "Mainstream Media" Truly Now Is Dead:

Because, at this point in our history, the so-called "Mainstream Media" is now the FRINGE Media. They do NOT represent ANYthing "mainstream" anymore.

Jimmy Carter is out of his mind. He's simply a doddering, insignificant old fool. And yet he's getting media play and the DC March on Saturday is ignored, the recent terrorist events and arrests are ignored, ACORN is ignored wholesale.

By the so-called "Mainstream Media." The FRINGE media.

(CNN) -- Former President Jimmy Carter said Tuesday that racial politics played a role in South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson's outburst during President Obama's speech to Congress last week and in some of the opposition the president has faced since taking office.

Jimmy Carter and his ilk simply see racists under every bed, in every closet. Because they otherwise have no cogent argument and find themselves backed into a corner for lack of fact recognition.

When there is no defense, they have to -- HAVE to -- play offense.

And, trust me, it IS offensive. Massively offensive.

Joe Wilson, me, you, couldn't care less that Mr Obama happens to have a slightly higher general melanin count -- although, not horrendously so and by his own admission -- than previous presidents. Jimmy Carter said:

I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man, that he's African-American," Carter told "NBC Nightly News." "I live in the South, and I've seen the South come a long way, and I've seen the rest of the country that shares the South's attitude toward minority groups at that time, particularly African-Americans."

So Jimmy Carter bottom-lines it this way: ANY disagreement with our current president = RAMPANT RACISM. Video here.

I say: you, sir, are simply a Bleeding Loon.

His opinions get the media play.

ACORN is purposely ignored.

This is a US media that has, I submit, the ONLY hand in its own demise.

And the sad thing? I really enjoyed holding a newspaper in my hand every day.

BZ,

Try picking up a Field & Stream Magazine instead. It's better for your mind and much better for your soul.

Who cares about ACORN or Carter or the MSM? Do they flyfish or surf, NO.

Fuck em!

Why you keep reading or watching things you don't agree with is beyond me.

I dare you to stop watching MSM or reading a newspaper for 30 days, you will not beleive how your life and your outlook will improve.

Get rid of the negativity.

Just saying.

CHANGE will contine to occur.

I think Jimmy Carter was a good but naive man at one time. His naivety caused him to do stupid things, America fired him and he got bitter and the bitterness has since consumed him. If he'd have stayed a peanut farmer he would have stayed a good guy.

The media has been dead for a long time, it just hasn't been pronounced because the body hasn't decayed enough until now.

It seems like no matter what happens, there will always be an issue of racism to some degree.

The Left and the legacy media have so over-used the term 'racism' as to remove any and all import to the term. Racism has moved out of the fields and out of the popular culture and into the intellectual elite culture and its media organs. I have no doubt there is racism in America... but the broad brush used by the Left has now drenched itself in the term. They miss the obvious part where those that can only see things via racial terms have a name: racists.

Perhaps, someday, the ivory tower elites in politics and academia can get out of their echo chamber offices and pick up a real job on a road crew or in a warehouse and see just where racism is in today's America. Strangely enough, it isn't in the everyday workman's venue, not as it was 40 or 50 years ago, that you see racism in America by and large. That era is over everywhere, save in the political elite circles where it festers, still. Apparently they can't get off their butts to 'move on' or even just get out and work with actual individuals... but then that would shatter the 'real world community' by having contact with the actual world as it works.

I remain civil and contest on policies that are bad for the Nation in my view. Just as I have done for each previous resident of the Oval Office. The incivility comes from elsewhere...

Amy: I believe the objections Mr Obama encounters are issue and not race driven; mere disagreement with Mr Obama or his administration does not an inherent racist make.

Anon: that's odd; when you Google Rush Limbaugh's alleged quote according to the remarkably accurate Keith Olbermann, you only get the article you cite.

Trust me, if Limbaugh had uttered those words, the DEM/MSM would be trumpeting that for WEEKS. Seen ANY evidence of that? Yeah, me neither.

37 racist incidents from Keith Olbermann? Admittedly, in the article: "Others, however, appear more strained." Huh. D'ya think?

If America was such a haven for racism Mr Obama wouldn't have gotten elected and, as quantified by the Left, he wouldn't have acquired such a massive number of voters clearing indicating he has a MANDATE for "change."

Carter is equating disagreement with racism and that's just loony.

The last year of Uniform Crime Statistics compiled by the FBI for Hate Crimes is 2007.

Total number of incidents: 7,624

Population of the US estimated by the US Census Bureau for 2007: 304,059,724

Rate of incident in the general population: 0.0025% or 1 incident per 39,881 people.

Mind you that is ALL hate crimes, not just the ones based on race... charging racism in America, today, points to the huge strides the Nation has made at marginalizing it. Save in the elite academia and media areas, of course, where it continues to be the 1960's forever.

Two things, Carter is a washed up old man with dementia and second point is why in Hell do you even bother answering a moron who goes by the name of anonymous?

Does racism still exist in America? Yes it does. Is it prevalent and only in the conservative half of the population? NO and NO!

Throwing that word around the way they do is like crying wolf. Eventually, nobody pays any attention. I am there!

I agree with AJ and AA. Racism is a term that has been abused in the media and this abuse has taken away from legitimate instances of said abuse! The media seems to be fostering racial divisions because they are always bringing up Obama's race every other freakin sentence and anyone who disagrees is a racist. I love the way they never show the Black people who disagree with his policies, or if they do they are painted as self hating lunatics. If we could fire the people who run the current MSM, our society might change overnight for the better, because people are suggestible after all.

It wasn't that long ago that a family with sextuplets and other children were praised for their medical marvel. But put a little MSM spin and they become deadbeat indigents who live off the public dime and abuse their children...I am truly beginning to question everything I read, as if I wasn't cynical enough;)
