Bloviating Zeppelin: Air America?

Bloviating Zeppelin

(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Air America?

Dead.

Yes, an agenda helps. But you also have to be entertaining and have a message that America wants to hear.

Timing, anyone?

Petty Snivel - Couldn't you have found a photo of a French or perhaps Russian plane to use for this post?

Poor sandy. Most Skyraiders ended up like this one. Shot up and crash landed, shot up and wrote off, or wore out and retired. The best Jabo since the P-47 and not outdone until the A-10 came along.

As a metaphor, any wrecked airplane picture would do. Maybe a picture of a Air America c123 or a crashed Huey would do the job a little better. As for the radio network Air America - they got what they wanted and the public pretty much ignored what they had to offer.

Capt: hmmm, good point.

Toaster: I remember the A-1H, but mostly I remember the A1-E slab. But the A-10s are most coolio.

Shanksow: thanks for visiting and thanks for taking the time to comment. And yet, had I been thinking, I should have used a C-123 or maybe a C-47.

Do not take to the air with only a left wing.

The old MSM is coming to ground because of that... Air America is just the least and weakest, coming down first.

Conservative radio Vs. Liberal radio:
Lipstick on a pig, Vs. Lipstick on an Alaskan Hockey Mom.

It wasn't entertaining. In fact, it was painfully bad.
Remember "Bad Theater" on SNL?
Maybe one day they'll revisit and share some of Air America's efforts on there?

Rest in Pieces.

The left takes politics too seriously to make it entertaining. Hopefully they never will figure it out.

AA failed because the left really don't need to be scremed at with lies hate and fear like the right does. Their advertisers were thin. Big corporations advertise on right wing radio to keep their interests viable. You won't you'd hear a commercial for Exxon or AIG on AA.

You guys are bought and sold by corporate America who doesn't give a shit about you. And you buy it hook, line and sinker.

The old WWII line "coming in on a wing and a prayer" didn't work well for Air America who was trying "a wing and a lie". American just didn't buy what they were selling--simple as that. Obama still hasn't figured that out!

Great minds think alike. I posted about this today as well. Interesting that the CEO of Air America blamed the failure on the economy and not on the true fact that they had no listeners and therefore no advertising revenues.

Liberal talk radio has been hemorrhaging money since its inception. It's about time that somebody put a bullet in that lame mule.

This is the difference between 'free as in speech' and 'free as in beer'.

No one needs to pay for free speech.

Someone has to pay for free beer.

The beer wasn't worth the price of it... and that says sommething about the beer, and the speech.
