Bloviating Zeppelin: Michael Steele's LOSER Mentality

(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Michael Steele's LOSER Mentality

Republican Chairman Michael Steele can go straight to hell.

First, he says the GOP has no chance of winning the House or Senate back.

Then he tells fellow Republicans and potential donors to "shut up" if we don't care for his tactics and actions.

This is a LOSER's mentality and Mr Steele needs to be fired, just as he suggests in an interview with St. Louis ABC radio station KTRS on Thursday. Steele said:

“I’m telling them and I’m looking them in the eye and say I’ve had enough of it. If you don’t want me in the job, fire me. But until then, shut up. Get with the program or get out of the way.”

Mr Steele, I'm sorry, it isn't "all about you." Here is the interview:
Already the pundits are weighing in:

Mr Steele hasn't done the GOP any favors whatsoever. All this has done is make the GOP look incredibly foolish and has begged the perfect "setup question" for every Republican faced with their own interview: "So," the DEM/MSM interviewer will say, "Mr Steele thinks you're all losers."

Mr Steele? Go to hell. You're fired. You clearly don't want any cash from me in the future.

I agree Michael Steele, is not a man of steel, but a man with a jello spine. He has to go and as soon as possible. I saw that interview and couldn't believe what I was hearing. Bye-bye Michael!

I likewise have separated myself over the past 5 or 6 years from the Republicans and now consider myself more of a libertarian. I am just sick to death of government.

It boils down to this: paying out the ass in taxes to support the salary of some moron who then thinks he is empowered to tell me what I can or can't do.

Mr. Steele, stifle it. No one cares.

Steele is trying to provide "spin" on his words on the Michael Medved Show right now, as I'm listening. His "spin" is NOTHING like what he said on ABC radio.

And they can't figure out why the RNC is having trouble raising money?

Off topic, but I didn't want it buried down in the bowels of your blog-
this is for some of the "slower-learning" readers that come here.
(Oh, and Tim... CJ asked a question about your lack of dependence on polls down there that you left unanswered. I'm sure you didn't intend that!)
(Thanks for providing the soap box my friend.)

Michael Medved just interviewed Michael Steele on the Medved radio show, and called Mr Steele "the most important asset the GOP has." Sure he is -- if you're a Demorat.

You know, BZ, from what I've read of Steele he's ticking off the RNC "let's be Democrat-lites" bigwigs and that pleases me...they're VERY angry he hasn't turned the party more MODERATE and we can't AFFORD to go more moderate!

Also, how could he know if we're taking back the House in 2010? He can't. He could have said all of this because he wants to scare Conservatives out of their stupors and get us UP and OUT THERE working hard to show we CAN do it in 2010.

I don't know...Steele had lost me the last few months but, if I'm reading him right, he's suggesting Conservatives can't afford to go more Left any longer and we won't win that way and I think he's correct, especially with these new polls saying how Americans are more and more Conservative lately.
Don't forget..I BELIEVE FIRMLY that Palin was torpedoed by the RNC when they saw they couldn't control her. We don't NEED Republican handlers/leaders like that...we need FREEDOM LOVERS who LIKE Rogues and do NOT like showing America that Republicans are fearful of the Left and WILL stand up to them with true Conservative's banner waving.

I want the GOP of Reagan, not of Clinton. I will vote with my wallet, and the GOP is not on the list.

Mr Steele "the most important asset the GOP has." Sure he is -- if you're a Demorat.

Perfectly said BZ!

He was a poor choice from the beginning and I believe represents everything the reeling GOP was in early 2009. He is self important and is under heavy fire for charging to give speeches, something no other head of a political party has ever done.

Has he ever won an election himself?

BZ,
I supported this guy earlier but it's getting harder to listen to his defeatist attitude. That's why I'm hopeful of a third party. This guy and the GOP are a joke.

Z: Steele has specifically said that he thinks the GOP has little if any chance of being a winner.

It seems he's being paid to provide wonderful fodder for the DNC. To have his words used against us. I don't get that at all. If that's a "strategy" then it's terrible.

Of course, he can't know the future. But I certainly expect him to be positive instead of negative. And I expect him to be a constant advocate. More persons under the tent hasn't worked in the past. And we can see how, in real life, more persons under the Demorat tent has effectively assisted in the ruination of our country.

"Helping" the DNC with their talking points AGAINST Republicans and, by logical extension, Conservatives, just doesn't cut it with me.

Toaster: thanks for visiting and thanks for taking the time to comment. Please return!

Dolley: likewise, thanks for visiting and commenting. And that's what irritates me about Mr Steele and this comment. It's as if it's all about HIM and not about the party or the overarching tenets of Conservatism. The RNC started out 2009 with $22 million; at the end of 2009 they had $9 million. The DNC, despite spending tons for its candidates has a corresponding $13 million.

This losing trend cannot stand.

I don't think he'll be around much longer. Either he be shown the door or the party will. He and McCain are what happens when we let the MSM tell us how to win.

Michael Steele has been nothing but a huge mistake. Maybe it's time to fire him and get someone else. He has been wrong on just about everything and is a detriment to the party, a party that doesn't need any more RINOs.

Mr. Steele has gone downhill... I thought he was the best of a bad lot when put into the position. Unfortunately he has not figured out his job, and has a distracting book tour that takes away from doing his job. That is a relatively high level of incompetence to rise to...
