Bloviating Zeppelin: The Silence of the Left

Bloviating Zeppelin

(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

The Silence of the Left

One year after the election of Barack Hussein Obama, the Demorats had their world rocked by the election of a Republican into the bluest of blue political appointments, in the bluest of blue states, ruled for more than half a century by the bluest of Liberals.

The people have made a statement and that is this: we don't much care for the path currently taken by those installed in power; we don't much care for the potential of ObamaKare and we don't much care for the incessant spending. We know the Republicans spent terribly; this current administration spends ever more. Mr Obama spent $1.7 trillion dollars in his first month alone.

There is a lot of anger. And the anger is with Washington, DC.

The Demorats are completely, unsparingly, unapologetically Tone Deaf. Their mantra still continues to be "we know better than you what you want, what you need." They believe: "you are the Great Unwashed. You are the Groundlings." The GOP has an amazing opportunity.

Further evidence? ONE day after the trouncing in Massachusetts, the Obama Administration announced:

WASHINGTON – Senate Democrats on Wednesday proposed allowing the federal government to borrow an additional $1.9 trillion to pay its bills, a record increase that would permit the national debt to reach $14.3 trillion.

The unpopular legislation is needed to allow the federal government to issue bonds to fund programs and prevent a first-time default on obligations. It promises to be a challenging debate for Democrats, who, as the party in power, hold the responsibility for passing the legislation.

Ladies and gentlemen, how is it that I can see the Writing On The Wall, but no one in Washington can? We cannot keep spending as we do. Again, no more than 24 hours after the election in Massachusetts, Obama wants the Fed to take over national student debt. Is he insane?

One day, one fine day, China will step back. The world will step back. They will refuse to hold the American Dollar. Russia is already starting to diversify into the Canadian dollar.

So: what did the Demorats learn from yesterday? Words from Pelosi? Words from Reid? No. Stunning silence.

I submit: the Demorats learned mostly nothing at all.

Scott Brown, the Keith Olbermann Anti-Christ:

Guess what, Keith: consider him SENT.

There are none so blind as those who refuse to see. The left is motivated by hatred, greed and envy. They are what they pretend to believe the right is.

The Left prefers to have others do their thinking for them, to have others generate up talking points, to have others push ideology and then use the regurgitated pap of their betters to attack others with. I have yet to read one constructive argument from the Left for the past decade on anything from military policy, terrorism, banking, finance, health care, insurance... on and on and on... that does not require: more government, more costly government, larger government and more regulations.

When soldiers lack for supplies not because they are stuck in transit or can't be distributed quickly, I did not hear from the Left on suggestions on how to BOOST PRODUCTION, but to moan, bitch and complain about about Bush's incompetence. Say, if you're so smart, why don't you do Bush one better and show how you can encourage increased production for the troops?

Oh, that requires thinking and doing something positive, not being negative. Can't do that on the Left.

When the NY Fed promulgates and supports bad fiscal policies that gets one of the largest banks (CITI) into deep trouble and then the economy turns south, and those inside the Fed want to force others to take loans they don't want to hide the SINGLE failing bank, there was not a peep of protest from the Left. It was all 'too big to fail', and 'more regulations'. More regulations overlooks that the current regulations SUPPORTED THIS PROBLEM. How about removing bad regulations that force banks to lend to those who can't pay them back or are not credit-worthy? No its bitch about how nasty those on the Right are for suggesting that the answer isn't MORE OF THE SAME!

I thought the Left was supposed to be full of 'independent thinkers'? How come they all sing the same tune?

On terrorism the Left has totally chucked centuries of understanding of what Nation States are to get some rosy new view in which there is a centralized government that dispenses rights and those that kill using the tools and means of war are to be treated as mere civil criminals, not war criminals. Gotta pave the way for the spreading of the threat by not treating it seriously, which is exactly what that gets. That is not 'expanding civil rights'. It is decaying civilization by putting forward that there is nothing different between terrorism and a crime spree.

Of course a concept in which government dispenses 'rights' means that it is the holder of ALL RIGHTS. Logically it follows that government creates society and then it creates you, without rights as it is the holder of all rights. What a lovely notion! You are born an animal and government infuses you with civilization! And who runs that? Why the overly-intelligent elite that could not foresee that the regulations they put in place cause economic catastrophes... so they deserve to be put over everyone, everything and put in a position to truly screw up everything with one bad regulation.

So beautiful, no? Ignoring the rights of man as an individual and putting the State over man and inverting the order of who creates what. Doesn't work so well on the ground, though, with tens of millions dead to regimes that did just this thing.

And if you suggest that people are fit to keep their own money, choose their own course, have less regulation and more freedom of choice to exercise their liberty you are: a racist, a fool, don't care about 'ordinary Americans' and on and on. Mind you the idea of getting power out of the hands of government and back into the hands of ordinary Americans is the GOAL. So fighting to ensure the power of the people is preserved is BAD and that handing more power to the State to impoverish and rule the people is GOOD.

Orwell was right.

The Left has used 1984 as a training manual, not a cautionary tale.

Bush did it. It's all his fault. Along with global warming and the extinction of the dodo bird. Not to mention whale killing and ice-berg shifting.

The problem with Washington is that they live in a vacuum...until election time rolls around.

WOW, after listening to Olberdouche in that video, I must say... I really like Scott Brown a little bit more now....

The Demorats don't have a fking clue, they are hell bent on destroying our great nation under the guise of "Compassion, for those under achievers" the gimme culture, the Governmental "Father figure" Well THAT is NOT what made America great, it was built by men and women of strong moral fiber, and an ambition to be the best they could be. NOT the BEST the government would let them be....IF the Dem's (And RINO's) don't get it in Nov, then there will be little choice in the options left on the table and one of those options will be an armed insurrection.

This earthquake has reverberated worldwide. Everyone is listening but the Democrats. Der Speigel said today the "World bids farewell to Obama." I think that was followed with something like...the end of Hope.

Gleeful...that's the atmosphere around my house.

That federal debt bill is frightening.

BZ,
As opposed to that bastion of left-wing lunacy, Franken? Olbermann I sure is enamored with the fact that Franken wrote rape stories in magazines and wore a diaper. Right, Keith, Brown is a loon.

There is an opportunity here, and one such as this seldom come along. Maybe just maybe the Republicans will take advantage of it. Some on the left have gotten the message of this election, but most.....well they never will.
