Obaka & The World: Attempting to Intimidate Israel

I happened upon this photograph whilst scanning Drudge. Above is a photo of Mr Obaka, proxemically speaking, invading the space of Benjamin Netanyahu and utilizing the minimal space, his taller figure and the finger into the chest in order to clearly indicate Mr Obaka's superior ranking in their interaction. Were I Mr Netanyahu, I would be rather upset at the nonverbal (and likely verbal) intimidation utilized here.

Particularly in light of this Reuters article:

JERUSALEM, April 9 (Reuters) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has cancelled a planned trip to Washington next week for President Barack Obama's 47-country nuclear security conference.

He made the decision after learning Egypt and Turkey intended to raise the issue of Israel's assumed atomic arsenal at the meeting, a senior government official said on Friday.

Israel is believed to be the only nuclear-armed power in the Middle East, but has never confirmed or denied it. It has not signed the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

Netanyahu saw Obama at the White House late last month to discuss the stalled Israeli-Palestinian peace process. But they failed to see eye to eye and bilateral ties remain strained.

"The prime minister has decided to cancel his trip to Washington to attend the nuclear conference next week, after learning that some countries including Egypt and Turkey plan to say Israel must sign the NPT," the official said.

It is indeed believed that Turkey and Egypt will press for the nuclear disarmament of Israel.

Netanyahu, in his inimitable style, said:

This conference is about nuclear terrorism. And I'm not concerned that anyone will think that Israel is a terrorist regime. Everybody knows a terrorist and rogue regime when they see one, and believe me they see quite a few -- around Israel."

In my opinion the US has stabbed Israel in the back. Israel is destabilized in the Middle East only to the detriment of the world and, of course, the United States.

Further, America is defanged only to the greater detriment of the world. Mr Obaka has managed to undo roughly 60+ years of defensive and deterrent US military policy. He specifically stated that his new policy will only allow for a possible nuclear strike against such rogue nations as, for example, Iran and North Korea. All other nations, even if they utilize CBC (chemical, biological or cyber attacks) events against this country or its assets, will not suffer nuclear retaliation by the United States.

Further, Mr Obaka's policy will completely cease further research and development of any form of nuclear weapon by the United States, no matter the future revelation of aligned technologies -- and technology is always evolving and changing.

Mr Obaka's clear goal appears to be to minimize the power of this country and, at the same time, to attempt to "put her in her place" in terms of global affairs.

With regard to Israel and the United States' abilities to defend themselves, it makes little sense to reveal, in public for all your enemies to see, in detail, a responsive gameplan which removes some or all potential strategic and tactical venues. It is good, frequently, to keep your enemy in the dark.

As I asked before: do you believe the world views the US with greater respect today than, say, last year or the year before? I submit: no.

These are defeatist, appeasist strategies, plain and simple.

Isn't the reason for us not having an invader is due to our stockpile of nuclear arms? He's going to do what Clinton did and try to disarm America. I trained with Israeli infantryman, and we were almost like brothers in both of our eyes. We drank, fought, and trained together, and even had a common enemy. This moron has no idea who he's playing with. His superiority complex has to stop. WE RECOGNIZED THEM IN ORDER FOR THEM TO BE A COUNTRY FOR GODS SAKE! Hope and f*&king change is right. This man should be arrested for pretty much helping our enemies. But then again, he just wants a world that is of HIS liking. I hope he burns in hell. In the words of the Clash " rock the casba." Nuke all of those countries. This is getting out of hand. Anyway, good post BZ.

As a husband of one very intelligent biblical scholar, I can attest that we are at the cross roads.

There is a part in the bible that has been deemed to pass, that part is about the hand being lifted off of Israel. It is the end of times and it may be the exact reason so many wondered if this asshat in the WH was indeed the anti-Christ.

Nobody truly believed that a sitting POTUS would abandon Israel. However; lately that is exactly what is being done.

All I'm saying is wait and see, Obama knows he only has another couple of months with absolute power, he's about to make some of the biggest mistakes of his term.

What Obama is doing is nothing short of treasonous. He should be tried for the charge.

Obama is setting the next POTUS up for the same exact thing that GWB had to deal with. A Disaster with a lot of Americans dead. But in true liberpuke fashion he will deny all involvement and blame it on the neo-cons...Sick liberpuke minds need a hammer to wake them up.

I am 100% for Israel,,, and I am not Jewish.
Israel has my permission to bomb anyone they want to.
I knew several "Mossad" agents, and they were creditable, and wished they were ours.

Netanyahu is in the right not to attend the conference coming up.

As for the photo, once again we are "treated" to BHO's disgusting arrogance. Damn, I'm tired of his always pointing his index finger.

Well it is a no-brainer that Barrico Bammer would disrespect Israel.

I will say this though and other countries would do themselves well to heed my advice.

Do not fuck with the Jews. They will not play your games and they will fight if pressed.

We have to hold on for a few more months and get the Dems out of power in the house at least.

Chris: thanks. Israel, like the US, is at a very important tipping point. If Iran keeps pushing Israel may decide to go "Osirak" again; this time, under much more difficult conditions.

Bush: with regard to Obaka, you are going to see:

1. Further abandonment of Israel;
2. Amnesty for illegal Mexican invaders;
3. CapNTax;
4. VAT;
5. Continued ObakaKare;
6. RIFs for US military;
7. More stimulus packages

TF: someone would do that to me but once.

Mrchuck: Israel is under massive world -- and not just local -- pressures, not to mention pressures from within. It's astounding, is it not, to think they've survived to this date?

Old NFO: hope you're correct.

AOW: why step into the fecal material if you don't have to?

Southern Sage: I fear, however, the Israel of today is not the Israel of the 60s and 70s.

I'm very pleased Netanyahu's not attending.
By the way, I look at that photo and cringe as someone who's lived in Europe and had a husband who did a lot of diplomacy and understanding other cultures; One doesn't stand that close and one doesn't point like that...but, believe it or not, the hand in the pocket is a HUGE no-no... HUGE.

I keep wondering why Obama's not taken advantage of the WH staff who are primed to instruct new presidents and first ladies of what they should and should not do...this hand in pocked is so basic....not touching the Queen is SO basic, not bowing to ANYBODY is so basic for an American president.
This man is a humiliation.

I'm totally pro Israel and fear for the land which takes its attention away from protecting her.

Israel took out the Syrian-NoKo nuclear testing facility in Syria on a short bomb-run. They can do the same with Iran, and if Iraq won't give them fly-over, then KSA will as hitting Iran helps the Saudis... of course they will deny everything, but that is SOP in the ME. Obama will castigate them when he is unwilling to do a damned thing, thus showing the US is not an ally to anyone, not even itself.

It would be nice if we had a counter-weight to Iran, but Obama has been slapping the Iraqis in the face, so we can forget that.

And putting Karzai into a position where he has to bring the Taliban in will put Afghanistan right where it was pre-invasion within a few short years. Russia, of course, is muscling back into the 'stans, because it is finding that terrorist support in Chechnya comes from the region, plus Pakistan. It is trying to do the counter-weight bit with Iran, but Putin has forgotten that Iran also sponsors terrorism in Chechnya.

Then Obama wants to make the world safe for conventional war... and war he will reap from that path.

Venezuela's tyrant will seek nuclear devices, as well, making Brazil antsy to do the same. Syria makes no bones about chemical weapons, has infrastructure for bioweapons and materials processing to get yellowcake... Iran doesn't really need Russian yellowcake, although its a cute gesture from Putin.

Meanwhile Georgia, Ukraine, Byelorus (to a degree), Poland, Czech Republic, Romania... all getting sold down the river with 'smart' diplomacy. That diplomacy also slaps the UK in the face, as well as Japan, Taiwan, S. Korea, India and a few other allies.

I can find similar conditions of isolationist US and growing totalitarianism on a global scale, but the thing that comes after those times are known as 'world wars'.

I am not amused.

Great post, and you are correct about the physical and verbal intimidation from Obama. That is his style. He's lucky he didn't draw back a nub, ha.

Obama is working on his new Mid-East peace deal and you won't like it.

Policies like those of Barack Obama always lead to conflict. I recall when Kennedy first came into office and shortly after abandon the Cuban freedom fighters at the Bay of Pigs. This lead the USSR to take bolder steps and install the missiles on that enslaved island and almost brought on WWIII. Obama's policies are taking us on a path to a greater conflict in the Middle East and a possible serious attack here at home.

When placed in that situation the correct response is to grab the finger and bend it backwards until you hear as snap.
