Bloviating Zeppelin: You Catch It -- You CLEAN It

Bloviating Zeppelin

(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

You Catch It -- You CLEAN It

I've been thinking for a few weeks now, since it's not entirely impossible for the Republicans to take back the House (many Demorats are saying, in back rooms, that the House is simply gone) and perhaps can even make some inroads with the Senate, that there is an even larger problem than just a numerical superiority in the House.

The Big Question is this: let's say the Republicans do take the House. Let's say that put the Senate right around 50/50. What then?

Once the Republicans have "caught" it, will they be able to "clean" it?

From a Robert Ringer WND Commentary:

If they win big on Nov. 2, Republicans will be faced with a choice: Hand the sword of power over to the new faces in the party – those who truly believe in freedom and free markets and are serious about putting an end to the never-ending sham of "compromise" – or use the sword to commit hara-kiri.

Let's hope it's not a bloody ending for the Grand Old Party.

In the words of RWR:

Once again I should care to remind everyone: November is indeed a crossroads. But it's only one part of the plan. The real work doesn't end on that day -- it only begins on that day.

Then it becomes incumbent on Conservatives to really apply the pressure.

The GOP/RNC will do what it does so well, become hard core, reach across the aisle RINOs and give it ALL back...

That is exactly why I, and so many others have tried to get folks to open their eyes and become a viable, and powerful 3rd party, a Conservative Party...

One with some real BALLS...

But the naysayers always shit on ANY suggestion of it, but they sit back and bitch about the GOP and RINOs...

Duplicity perhaps? Or just a propensity to bitch?

There is a third option BZ, the R's take back the house and senate and become truly the party of NO. Block everything obama tries to do... The in 2012 they give Obama the ammo to say it's The R's fault...Obama blames so well.

I'll vote 3rd party if the GOP doesn't get their act together. This Alaska thing has got me a little pissed. And the other bullshit moves Steele has made tells me the GOP is out for power only not country. And that's just as bad as the progressive agenda.

Exactly.

But I think that the GOP will not want to take the truly-conservative route.

There is no requirement to fund the non-mandatory parts of government.

After DoD, US Mint, a few pieces of the Treasury, USPTO, National Archives, State Dept, ICE, DoJ, SCOTUS, the judiciary and a few pieces of the Interior there isn't much else worth funding.

Mind you if you defund HHS you can kill the collection of the FICA tax. The greatest power Congress has is NOT funding things: one Congress cannot require another to do anything. I do wonder what would happen without a Dept. of Agriculture, Energy, Education, Labor, EPA...

That takes guts and a spine.

You want a better Congress?

Support better candidates, and stop going for the 'lesser' of two evils as you always wind up with evil
