Bloviating Zeppelin: Republicans: Immediately Invertebrate?

Bloviating Zeppelin

(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Republicans: Immediately Invertebrate?

Have John Boehner and Mitch McConnell sold the Republicans and, by extension, Conservatives down the river already?

There are rumors issuing forth from DC that this may be the case.

Sub-Frequency Buzz indicates the GOP may be in the midst of a "deal" with Demorats and, by extension, Mr Obama -- which would extend the "Bush tax cuts" for only a period of two years -- oddly enough, by the end of Mr Obama's reign.

In exchange, SFB indicates the GOP may agree to an additional 13 months of federal unemployment benefits.

My God, ladies and gentlemen, is the betrayal beginning so soon?

BEWARE of how the media may portray these agreements!

Why is it that the Republicans, particularly in winning and strong times, refuse to stand up and fight for themselves? Why won't the "Bush tax cuts" be continued permanently? Because they aren't "tax cuts" -- the are simply the current tax rates.

Ben Bernanke already said, this past Sunday (12-05-10) on 60 Minutes, that it will take roughly another FIVE YEARS to bring unemployment to 5%.

We -- I'm sorry, Republicans -- possess the House Bully Pulpit at this time and we -- I'm sorry, Republicans -- refuse to actually wield this power.

As Obama boasted: "we won, you lost."

You bastards are already cutting deals when you DO NOT HAVE TO.

You canNOT provide federal unemployment benefits for 155 weeks.

The Republicans did not EVEN FIGHT FOR A MONTH.

The time is here, ladies and gentlemen.

The Republicans apparently will not fight for anyone --

-- for anything.

One of two things will occur:

- There will be a Third Party;
- Or the Republicans will be completely subsumed by another party.

This simply cannot continue.

I say:

NO MORE BETRAYAL!

BZ

P.S.
On the other hand, the Leftists believe that, with a "compromise" of the two-year extension, Mr Obama has "sold" the entire "progressive movement" "down the river" as well.

That makes me smile.

Mr Obama can't satisfy anyone, it seems.

Welcome to a portion of the real world, Mr Obama.

Sorry as hell about how reality interferes with isolated and educational theory.

And our current crisis trumps Pearl Harbor retrospectives, I'm afraid.

PPS:

This isn't a deal -- this is a surrender.

And yet, consider this: Obama blinked.

My take on it is exactly as you say. However; just because "Duh Won" says its a done deal doesn't make it so. I'm waiting to hear it on the house/senate floor. I haven't seen the vote yet.

IF they gave an additional 13 months of unemployment and only got 2 years of "extension" I say a new crop of Republicans is needed already.

It's obvious that Obama didn't understand the November mid-terms; more and more it's beginning to appear as though the GOP didn't get the message either. . .

Damn the torpedoes... Full speed ahead...

No BZ, not too early, it's a legitimate topic of discussion, but I am not convinced that the GOP lost this one, not yet anyway...

The GOP protected their wealthy contributors to the tune of $700 billion and the Dems protected everyone else, (aka; average Americans) for a faction of that cost.
Everyone won and everyone lost to a certain extent.

That's how a good President working in the middle handles cretins on the right. So much for Obama being labeled as a 'ultra leftist' by the looney tunes on the right.
But we will all pay dearly for the GOP's hand in this mess and holding average Americans hostage to get their own way. The GOP has revealed themselves once again as the party of greed.

Obamanomics good for the fat cat bankers on Wall Street.

Middle class and small business America, not so much.

This was the last of the shadow plays of the old 'bi-partisan' kind and we may never see its like again: good riddance to bad trash.

DeMint is looking to filibuster the thing, and Bachmann is PO'd for the R Leadership not to have talked with much of anyone about this. This deal will not go through: taxes will go up, unemployment benefits will run out and then the next session of Congress starts fresh.

Cut the spending, cut it hard, cut it deep, remove entire sections of the federal government and balance the budget that way. Reid will have the votes to stop a permanent tax cap, but nothing will can stop the House from not funding parts of the US government.

Boehner needs to get his act together as the old 'bi-partisan' tune has no one dancing to it. Because in two more years, if he hasn't, then the Left will have imploded the D party and the Tea Party will be in control of the R party and start eating up the D party remains.

A new tune is coming and the time to start getting used to it was in November.

You'd better pray the loony tea baggers don't control the House. This county is doomed if they do.

Blew-a-deacon chimes in with more dumbassery....

Mmm, lets see; Obama leading a class warfare operation. LYING his ass off in front of the cameras and it's the tea party you're worried about? WOW you take ignorance to the next level, and that's tough because the next level is brain dead.

The republicans want NO NEW TAXES on anyone, they don't want to ADD to the pain that has been caused by OBAMACARE. They are simply saying keep the tax rates the SAME as they are now. FOR EVERYONE. IF the "Utopia" of liberpukes is truly "Fairness" and "Equality" why is Obama demonizing one class? Because they were successful? because they made good decisions? because they aren't illegal immigrants and dead beats? I guess the "Utopia" of liberpukes is everyone should be poor and miserable because some are... Why not everyone should be rich? why not everyone should work hard get educated and succeed?

Man liberpukes arguments are like listening to 10 year old...idiots.

Ok Bushwack-off, you fool. You must be what...15 to have to make obscene plays on one's avatar, right? You could be a little more creative.

There were no NEW TAXES, it was a cut that was to expire-according to Bush how created this and failed to determine how to pay for it and added to the economic crisis we fid ourselves in. And 'Obamacare' has not added to the defecit. The CBO says it will help reduce the deficit.

Only idiots on the right will actually defend those who are out to crew them.
Try listening to more than Rush, his job is to get morons like you to believe him, add to your hate and vote against your own best interests while the fat cats laugh as you struggle.
