Bloviating Zeppelin: 2011 GOP: Get To Work!

Bloviating Zeppelin

(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

2011 GOP: Get To Work!

So, how many of you think the bulk of the GOP'ers are just gonna wade in with both feet and turn over the New Shiny Nickel for Conservatism in 2011? Eh?

How many GOP'ers are thinking: "I just can't wait for this 2011 thing; it's like starting with a fresh and clean slate."

-We're going to really limit spending this time!
-We're really going to fight for our values!
- We're going to put our votes where our mouths are!
- We're going to listen to our constituents!
- We're going to clean the welfare rolls of the able-bodied young!
- We're going to incentivize business creation!
- This, in turn, will incentivize job creation!
- We're going to push for minimized taxes and regulations!
- We will insist on more energy independence from foreign oil reserves!
- We will spend our money on incentives for:
*New electrical generation stations;
*New refineries;
*New desalinization plants;
*Local drilling and tapping of oil/shale fields, natural gas and coal deposits;
- Truth in bills: no riders; one topic per bill!
- No exceptions: every law past and present shall apply equally to all members of Congress!
- Audit the Federal Reserve!
- Vet every bill against Article I, Section 8 of the US Constitution!

How many GOP'ers are thinking this?

How many -- ?

-- yeah, me too. . .

One bill per agency, each with a paragraph that the funds may not be used for Obamacare.

Fund only bare necessities, forget things like EPA, FCC, FDA, Agriculture, Energy, Education...

Pass the necessary stuff and put the House out of session for legislation, let committees do any work for the next FY.

Let the Senate figure out what to do after that, no negotiations.

If the Democrats want to shut down the rest of government: let them.

I never want to hear the word 'bi-partisan' from the lips of Republicans, as it is short for: screw the American Citizens.

WSF: short and succinct. . .

CIA: hey, welcome aboard, thanks for taking the time to visit and thanks for taking the time to comment! Please come back any time. And yes, we HAD best get our fecal materials collated quite ricky-tick.

AJ: yes and yes and yes!

db: you know, I don't take all your stuff out, if you've ever noticed. But when you go for the personal attack on my commenters, like AJ, you're gone. Your question was not unreasonable until the personal rip on his name.

Not real optimistic man, really I'm not. I have a bad feeling about the next congress.. I hope I'm wrong but since we still have Obamamao Reid, in power and Pelosi still hagging around (Spelling intentional) And the GOP trying to convince the public (Lefty loons) that they want compromise... I'm not optimistic at all.

GOP = Grand Old Poltroons.
Don't bet the ranch (or even the outdoor privy) on 'em.

I am optimistic, but I understand why I shouldn't be. At the least, I believe We the People will hold feet to the fire and we have some in the House who will turn up the flame for us. It's more than we've had for a very, very long time.

I'm looking for those Bills consisting of one page only. I'm looking for the stand-alone earmarking and discretionary spending bills.

I am not optimistic about this new Congress. My pessimism comes from being let down so many times before. Besides, RINOs abound. Ugh.
