Bloviating Zeppelin: BULLSHIT ALERT:

Bloviating Zeppelin

(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Whilst the DEM (Defeatist, Elitist Media) grilled Speaker Boehner to no end -- in a fashion that clearly would not have been leveled against Brazil -- in which the CBO was quoted. . .

It is now known that the CBO (Congressional Budget Office) wrote:

The Congressional Budget Office, in an email to Capitol Hill staffers obtained by the Spectator, has said that repealing the national health care law would reduce net spending by $540 billion in the ten year period from 2012 through 2021. That number represents the cost of the new provisions, minus Medicare cuts. Repealing the bill would also eliminate $770 billion in taxes. It's the tax hikes in the health care law (along with the Medicare cuts) which accounts for the $230 billion in deficit reduction.

Let me duplicate that text: "would reduce net spending by $540 billion in the ten year period from 2012 through 2021."

So there's your ObakaKare for you.

Yep BZ, the numbers tell the tale but the media spins it to their party's benefit. That's the issue in our nation. Truth is a cuss word in the media.

Good catch BZ. We all know how the CBO works, the party in control feeds the numbers they want to be calculated and being the dems controlled last congress each time they did not like the CBO's answer, walla, new numbers fed to them.

The shoe is on the other foot know with REAL numbers.

The Dems have been skewing and falsifying stats.

But, honestly, I think that the truth is now seeping out.

But in fact, would reduce governmental income by the 230 billon you stated.

Unless of course you are going to claim that the tax cuts somehow would generate enough raw economic activity to replace that income.

Dave, it reminds me of the budget ceiling: that means nothing unless you get to the crux of the biscuit. Stop the spending and start the cutting. NOT increasing a given budget from one year to the next is NOT a "budget CUT."

That is very true BZ. Even as a liberal, I've never understood how a decrease in the rate of growth, can be seen as a program cut.

if you spend more this year then you did last year, that is not a spending cut. At least that is true where I work.

But then people in Washington seem to speak a different version of our language.

Ah so what's wrong with grilling the speaker especially when he says " I can't think of anything right new" when asked that question this week.

That CBO report-it's bogus. You guy's will believe anything!

The email says that outlays (spending) will be reduced by $540B. It also says that revenues will be reduced by *$770B*. It's dishonest of you to spin this as a cost-saving measure. It will, in fact, cost American taxpayers $230 Billion to repeal this legislation.
