(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

An Open Letter To The GOP:

Dear GOP:

You are about to go the way of the Whig Party, and you don't even realize it.

You were given a so-called "mandate" this past November.

You didn't understand it then, and I'm convinced you simply don't understand it now.

It's a fight, and you said you would fight for Conservatism but, since then, you've shown nothing but limp-wristed -- at best -- compromise and, at worst, agreement with some of the Demorats' bills and principles.

You are about to create -- due to your indifference -- a Third Party in this nation which will, in truth, weaken the GOP and Conservative values whilst, at the same time, strengthen Demorats and Leftists.

I used to write general checks to the RNC but, these days, I specifically TARGET my checks to individuals I consider to be more reflective of my thoughts. My most recent checks were to Sharron Angle, Tom McClintock, and Marco Rubio. They received, shall I say, a minimum of $1,000 each. That is money that could have gone to the GOP but, in my opinion, would have been squandered for the pablum that passes as the current GOP "platform."

You, GOP, are losing your predominant Water Carriers. You are losing Rush Limbaugh. And, in my realm, more importantly, you are losing a much more even-keeled individual -- Hugh Hewitt.

You were proffered what most people would consider a true mandate.

And, for the most part, since then, your "stands" have been akin to nailing Jello to a tree.

In the meantime, Mr Barack Hussein Obama has officially announced his candidacy for President in 2012. Earthshaking? Not quite. He is already at a 50/50 chance of election. Considering past and current standings, I find that absolutely amazing and, further, a revealing insight into the ignorance of American voters.

That said, in opposition, what does the GOP offer? Who? What? When?

I learned one thing, just one thing, from my high school "Civics" teacher, Mr Helms -- goateed as he was in 1970. He said: "Democrats don't win elections; Republicans lose them."

He was absolutely correct then as he is correct now and, particularly, with regard to the 2012 presidential election.

The Demorats shall only submit Mr Obama as their candidate. Who is offered by the GOP? Sarah Palin? Bobby Jindal? Paul Ryan? Tom McClintock? Col Allen West?

No. Oh no.

It'll be some subsumed Republican pablum-aligned piece of detritus already oriented towards personal wealth and aggrandizement. Let's name Slick Mitt Romney. And then let's cast him aside. Other than him, just who-in-the-Hell-has-a-chance?

"Compromise is the soup in which principles are dissolved."

There has, in my personal opinion, been altogether too much compromise for my taste.

It's long past time to take a stand. To take an aligned stand. To take a collective stand. To take a majority stand. But I don't hear this language being spoken. I don't hear or read these thoughts being disseminated as standard.

You are, GOP, about to lose the rest of your Paying Customers.

And your Paying Customers -- duh -- fund your excessive budgets.

I once said: GOP, you are on Probation.

That's So Yesterday.

I say now:

I don't see any "stands" being made. I don't see Unity. I don't see unanimity.

You can proffer all the excuses and reasons you wish.

I don't care anymore.

You're "beyond Probation," GOP.

You're pushing "indifference" and thence into an actual Third Party.

And guess what?

I would sign up for that. And write a check for that.

- TEA Party? - Conservative Party? - Realist Party?

Consider the consequences.

BZ

P.S.
Shut the government down. No one's going to notice. No one will mostly care. It is the unessential stuff going by the wayside which will reveal how non-essential the "essentials" are.

Damn BZ, I said nearly ALL of that last election, and a lot of people called me daft, said it was a waste of time, said it couldn't be done...

Well, YES, IT CAN, but it takes people with great fortitude and courage, it takes a desire to call bullshit for what it is, and the GOP/RNC is nothing but BULLSHIT...

I detest Obama, I really do, and granted, a retarded monkey would be better, but it’s still a retarded monkey, we have to FORCE, by ANY means, the GOP/RNC to bring up the very best, and Newt, Palin, Romney, McCain, Huckster, none of that ilk is the best of the best…

Sadly, those that ARE the best of the best are saying they won’t run, but a BAD Republican in office is as harmful as is that MORON we have right now…

No more of this *ANYTHING IS BETTER* bullshit folks, we elect some weak-assed ding-dong and it’s this scenario, we either burn to death or we drown…

All I know is, we’re dead either way it goes… NEVER SETTLE, demand and GET the best, if you can’t accept that, you’re not standing true to America and Conservatism…

If it takes destroying the GOP, by God, so be it, they are killing America as surely as is the Progressives... Progressives, another way to say scum sucking motherf*ckers that need to be submerged in a tub of acid...

I agree in theory. I'd still give my left nut to see Obama gone in 4. But since I do not have a left nut I guess I'd settle for ABO. Anyone But Obama.

Yes, I said SETTLE. You could hardly do worse.

One thing the Tea Party and the last elections have shown me is, I don't have to take the status quo from the Republican Party anymore.

I agree with you and have had those same feelings for years!

It's amazing that once the Republicans have some control, how willing they are to give it up.

I am awaiting an announcement that Marco Rubio, or Cris Christie, will announce that they will run.
Lt Colonel Allen West is testing the waters. Mr Cain, the same.
Bobby Jindal can run.
Rand Paul?

I'm literally baffled...
Like all above I want him gone, but consider...
We're pretty likely to get a repub Senate next election. If we also get a repub Prez, the "R's" will have absolute power, and we know where that leads.
I'm actually hoping Bozama gets a primary challenger, and I hope she gets elected...
Then at least we'll get divided government that cannot "help" us too much.
Yeegads... this really stinks, doesn't it?!

Greybeard, it sure does. I'm hoping we can find a decent candidate but there's, these days, a wide margin between who Conservatives would like and who is actually "electable."

And don't count Obaka out. It's estimated this next race will cost up to and perhaps over a BILLION dollars.
