(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

TSA: An Embarrassing ABORTION

The TSA is simply an embarrassing abortion, and people need to be fired. This is federal "authority," arrogance and incompetence on a scale heretofore unprecedented. From CNN.com:

(CNN) -- The Transportation Security Administration stood by its security officers Sunday after a Florida woman complained that her cancer-stricken, 95-year-old mother was patted down and forced to remove her adult diaper while going through security.

Watch the video below.

Then read this article.

In truth, there is little the average American can do about the abominable TSA over-reaching of federal authority. With one exception. As has been said on other issues, you can "vote with your feet."

And by that I mean: take any other form of transportation except flying.

Only when air carriers are financially impacted by TSA's idiocy and oppression, and begin to collectively scream, will things even remotely begin to change.

In reflection, I am at a loss for words here. A 95-year-old woman. My God, you band of incompetents, how do you sleep at night?

Your thoughts, please.

Screened at Las Vegas last Saturday. Choice of two lines, old style metal detector or the full scan deal. I went with the first line. Seemed the TSA folks were focused on getting the herd moving.

Recent trips have gone smoothly; like there has been a culture shift among the screeners. Think many have gotten the message the public is truly pissed and their jobs are not so safe and secure.

Since I can't roll a USMS badge and credentials on them, I am going to go where I need to go in a comfortable SUV, with the firearm(s) of my choice along for the ride...

It might take me a little longer to get there, but the journey makes the destination worthwhile...

WSF, I can only hope this is a trend.

But I'm not so deluded.

Hello?

TSA?

DARKER SKINNED MIDDLE EASTERN men BETWEEN 19 and 36??

And if you happen to engage Mexicans or Brazilians or Yugoslavians?

Then SO FUCKING BE IT.

Sorry, should have stayed on topic. This cancer patient's treatment was a disgrace.

Will be flying back from Tampa Bay Sat. We'll see how that goes.

There are still people out there that give you the "I'm a FEDERAL OCCIFER" line of crap, those are the ones that I'd bet are front and center on pulling this crap... I have cut my flying back to absolute minimum for anything other than work. I AM voting with my feet!

NFO, voting with your feet is quite admirable. I find no reason whatsoever, myself, to fly. Like TF, I enjoy driving -- making the journey part of the satisfaction.

As one whose disabled husband used to have to travel in diapers, this story infuriates me. Make no mistake: this kind of experience is humiliating for the disabled person and for any traveling companions.
