Bloviating Zeppelin: A Man And His Dog

Bloviating Zeppelin

(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

A Man And His Dog

Jon Tumilson was a US Navy SEAL.

He was one of 22 SEALs shot down in Afghanistan earlier this month, flying in a Chinook helicopter.

At his funeral on August 19th in Rockford, Iowa, his Labrador Retriever, Hawkeye, would not leave his casket.

Anyone who believes that animals do not grieve or feel pain would be wrong. There are animal/human bonds that can be incredibly strong, moving and unbreakable.

More than 50 of Tumilson's fellow SEALs attended the ceremony.

God bless you, sir. You were a true American WARRIOR and as such, to be honored. You didn't demand your "due" like the bulk of Leftist and illegal drones; instead, you not only asked what you could do for your country but placed your very life on the line, quite literally.

A Sheep, a Wolf or a Sheepdog? You, sir, were a Sheepdog.

America, beware: your MEN willing to make sacrifices for their country are a steadily-dwindling breed.

P.S.
And here is one of the comments featured in every video involving Petty Officer Tumilson:

God Bless the hands of the one that fired that RPG !

My message to Islam: you need to be defeated on every front, in every way. I say: "Islam IS as Islam DOES." And Islam does nothing but destroy and kill. Yours is not a religion; it is nothing more than a barbaric Death Cult adhered-to by the weak, gullible, naive and the brain-dead.

The dog rips at my heartstrings in a way nothing else does... their love is so truly pure.

What a shameful waste of a good decent man. It's videos like this one that make me really consider the idea that turning the entire ME into a glass ashtray would be the best for all.

As a former K9 officer and someone who has actually taken time to read the Koran cover to cover I agree with everything you said in this article about dogs and Islam.

I was cut to the core when my K9 partner was sold by my department (kiss my ass, former Chief J.D. McGee! You liked to spout off about how that dog was a "member of this department" but you sold him like a slave) and I know Bo was confused and shocked at the separation, too. I pray his new handler at Travis County S.O. was as successful as I with him and treated him at least as well as I did.

Islam is a dangerous cult and those who truly believe and practice it are murderers awaiting opportunity to kill the innocent.

BZ -

That story makes my heart hurt... and I shall do violence to anyone who ever tells me dogs are just 'dumb animals' again.

Not a single scientist can begin to explain the bond between a man and his dog.

Evolution sure can't explain it.

Dogs may not be human (although some are more human than lots of humans) but they are special.

As for Islam...those people are not even civilized.

Jenn: you are spot on. Their love is pure.

Tim: I trained up a dog for my own K9 unit but was shot down for a final spot by the Sergeant at the time. I had a kick-ass German Shepherd dog, who was 8 years old, Ehren ("loyalty" auf Deutsch) who kept up with all the other dogs and had heart for days. I too hope that Bo has a good home and his new handler loves him as much.

cj: dogs are not "just" dumb animals. Frequently, their greatest problems are their OWNERS. You can see that in EVERY Dog Whisperer program.

GF: first, thank you VERY much for visiting and, further, for taking the time to comment. Please come back and visit. And a tear shed is perfectly appropriate over this. Proves you're human.

Joe: thanks for visiting and commenting. I agree with both your points. Please come back.

NFO: thank you kindly, sir.
