(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Attack Imminent?

From Yoni:

Insider Info:

I have just hung up the phone with a good friend of mine who has relayed the following info to me. The Syrian Army has passed the word down from Assad that today sometime between now current time in Israel is 11:30pm (23:30) and the morning Israel will attack Syria.

I have Yoni linked in my blog and I have thought he was doing a great job, but IF this is true, I am of the opinion he is WAY outta line to report it...

Why would that info. be passed down from Syria? I would think maybe he meant Syria was going to attack Israel? Or maybe Syria knows that ISrael is going to attack them. Sorry, got a little confused reading it.
However, GREAT INFO. BLO!!

Well, if he's just reporting what Syria has to say, it may all be BS from Syria anyway...

Yoni has been 'spot on' so far, I hope he doesn't disappoint...

TF: This morning, I see that Hezbollah attacked NORTHERN Israel with Khaibar 1 rockets. Won't be long, I suppose, before those in Tel Aviv have to duck for cover.

Yoni, I think, because of his links to the IDF and to the Hugh Hewitt show as well, may tend to push the envelope a bit. Though there are times when he's said something to Hugh and then indicated he couldn't source his statement or couldn't go further.

I'm taking a wait and see attitude -- though I believe it to be high time someone smacked Syria.

I agree, I think Syria needs to be confronted. I wonder if you have heard recently, that it is highly possible the Qana incident blamed on the Israelis' was faked. Apparently, there was a baby they had that they were floating around in pictures, that had rigormortus yet had a brand new binky in his mouth.. Apparently, a lot of people had rigomortus when they shouldn't have yet.. Not sure how far along their rigo. was, but apparently, it doesn't match up with the time they were 'killed'. HMMMM...

What I don't get is why Iran hasn't given Hizbollah a bomb with a chemical warhead yet.

It is amazing that the golden opportunity has not disappeared, save that it will by inaction at this point. Hezbollah is now having to confront the fact that as a military they have some cute, unguided rockets. As a terrorist group, they are stuck with Nation State support, just not the Nation they are in.

Iran gave them a task as their Foreign Legion: make the circumstances necessary to take over Lebanon so that Iran could assert itself as the primary player in the region.

It says much that Hezbollah is better armed and equipped than Lebanon and Syria, and even better trained than Iran's own armed forces, Revolutionary/Special Guard, Basij, regular police and secret police. But the scenery has changed between Act I and Act II, and that now makes ALL the difference.

If Syria decides to intervene, my guess is that something like a more regional conflict will start... unless the US steps in either via Arab proxy (Egypt) or directly with a small Marine detachment from the Sixth Fleet. What do you call a Soviet made military organization protecting a Nation against a small and agile force backed by precision bombing?

Afghanistan.

Perhaps we can ask the Kurds in Syria for some support on the ground...

Rebecca: yes, I had heard that, from a former Israeli ambassador no less -- Lebanese citizens are nothing more than bowling pins for the beloved Hezbollah.

AJ: Heavy sigh. Yes. Afghanistan. And 190 rockets have landed in Israel just since the beginning of their Wednesday.
