(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

John Kerry Shows His True Colors -- And Those of the Dems and the DEM

There is clearly a long and deep anti-military bias in the American media. And the press will likely do everything it can to bury John Kerry's remarks.

But what happened is that John Kerry actually had the temerity to express the true feelings of the Dems and the DEM: any force wielded by George Bush cannot be good -- despite Clinton's Somalia, Clinton's Haiti. Kosovo? Chechens?

Some persons even called Dennis Prager this morning to indicate the words attributed to Kerry were nothing but lies. But the truth is the truth.

Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney said, in response to Kerry's comments:

Senator Kerry owes an apology to the thousands of men and women serving in Iraq, particularly the many patriotic soldiers from Massachusetts who come from all backgrounds to defend our freedoms. As Governor, I represent thousands of Massachusetts National Guardsmen. They are more diverse, educated and prepared to do their job than at anytime in our country’s history. No matter where you went to school, or how many degrees you have, most people understand the strength of our nation comes from every corner of America.”

Kerry is so completely and totally wrong. America's military isn't fueled by a draft. It is fueled by an entirely volunteer force. Hugh Hewitt said today: "When you attack the war you end up attacking the warriors." And that is so true. The trite phrase one customarily hears from many people, "I support the troops, but I'm against the war" is an impossibility. The war is attacked; now Kerry has legitimized attacking the troops themselves and that is reprehensible.

Reprehensible.

And as the photo indicates, Kerry is indeed giving the finger to the troops despite his lame retort that "it was a joke." And, of course, no apology because, under it all, those are his true feelings and those of the Dems and the DEM. Tonight there are Liberals in the northeast drinking their martinis at elite cocktail parties, New Yorkers and Washintonians, slapping their respective backs wishing they'd had the guts to say the same.

President Bush said today that Kerry's comments were insulting and shameful, and that "the members of the Unites States military are plenty smart and they are plenty brave. And the Senator from Massachusetts owes them an apology."

So true.

What did Kerry say? Go here.

You know education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well; if you don't you get stuck in Iraq.

Kerry wasn't laughing, he wasn't smiling, he wasn't upbeat and joking, he was quite downbeat. Listen to his voice and draw your own conclusion. This was clearly not meant as anything even remotely resembling anything humorous. The comment was meant to be about the President? I don't think so at all.

Additionally, I have a different take on his comments than others have indicated. I believe that, due to the nature of his audience, that of a college, that his comment was couched in terms of education; that is, following your education, if you attach yourself to the military you are stupid. Because only stupid persons or ill-educated people or persons with no education would "resort" to serving in the military and being shipped to Iraq for our Commander In Chief.

In essence, Kerry believes that anyone serving in our current military forces is mentally defective. Because, after all, if you buy off on anything President Bush does, you're defective.

I don't agree with everything Bush has done; on many issues he and I depart completely. He has overspent. He pissed away billions of our tax dollars on the senseless issue of AIDS in Africa. There has finally been a bill authorizing the construction of a 700 mile fence on our Mexican border but not written by Bush. He has called the Minutemen "vigilantes." Big Government has thrived under Bush.

John Kerry made a stupid statement. If he'd fallen on his sword and apologized the DEM would ensure the issue died rapidly. Trust me. This won't die.

And even some Democrats have said to ABC News, Tuesday, "I guess Kerry wasn't content blowing 2004, now he wants to blow 2006, too."

Contrition? Not a chance. Kerry said in response to the "attacks" over his comments:

It disgusts me that a bunch of these Republican hacks who have never worn the uniform of our country are willing to lie about those who did."

Kerry, who is considering another run for the White House in 2008, angrily fired back. His statement called Republicans "assorted right-wing nut jobs."

And at a hastily arranged news conference in Seattle, Kerry said: "I apologize to no one for my criticism of the president and of his broken policy."

Kerry said the comment in question was "a botched joke about the president and the president's people, not about the troops ... and they know that's what I was talking about."

Good politics: when you're wrong, and everyone knows you're wrong, and even persons in your audience cringe, not only deny but attack.

Wonder what'll happen if the GOP ends up keeping the House and Senate?

The GOP waited several months for someone on the Democratic side to say something they can twist into something that wasn't meant, and here it is. Enjoy the moment, folks, I hope this whets your appetite so that you can return to single party politics GOP style and just flat-out ignore the Democrats and the half of the country they represent for another few days.

Hey Bloviating Zeppelin

Chance: John Kerry should have chose his words carefully I don’t think he really meant any harm towards the troops. But he did not think before he spoke and look at what happened. It is true that many people join the military for the benefits of college money and other medical benefits like veterans Hospital health care. But especially benefits of college opportunity especially many non-whites join the military for this reason the majority of the people who join the military never retire from it they leave after their minimum time is up. The military afford an opportunity to many john Kerry did not choose his words carefully that’s all. I hope he learns from this.

Blo,
Awesome post! I agree. We don't follow our leaders blindly like the libs do. They will stick up for this idiot as well to some extent. Alan Colmes was trying to justify it as a slam against Bush. SO WHAT!! Either way he was demeaning our troops. If you speak out against the commander in chief calling him stupid in a time of war that is undermining it. It also calls our soldiers stupid for fighting it and supporting a 'dumb' commander in chief.

Why can't these libs see that?? They really are the stupid ones.

what is hilarious is that John Kerry is supposidly the elitist snob who is so intelligent, yet according to him he totally messed up a joke that has to do with being smart and how smart you will be if you are educated.. Is that not hilarious how that totally exposed his own stupidity?

Actually, I think the 'slip of the tongue' divulged what was in his heart in the first place.. I think the 'joke' was supposed to demean BUSH, and Kerry's inner heart wherein there lies a disdain for our military came out in the process. SO, he demeaned our president AND the troops..

You can't look at it and excuse it for just blotching a 'joke' about the president and say.."Oh, well then that is o.k." because even then it is wrong to do during a time of war..

Oh yes, I would love to see a HUGE backlash..

I am sick of seeing our troops get muddied by the libs.. I am sick of ALL OF US conservatives sitting on our rear ends and not STANDING up and getting out and making a change.. VOTE!

In Lawrence, Ks. several of our millitary recruiting sites have been spray painted on.. and they have been spit on and a bunch of libs. got together smeared ketchup on them and held up signs calling our military men murderers.. Lawrence is a MAJOR liberal town and if you want to know where the Kooks come from just read what goes on in Lawrence.. This is what the libs stand for now a days..

We need to stand up and support our troops either by sending them stuff, organizing rallies, and voting to overthrow the Kooks in congress. We were able to adopt a soldier and bought them a 24/7 subscription to Rush Limbaugh which was a sacrifice to us financially.
My next move is organizing a rally here to march through the streets of Lawrence praising our troops and the war in Iraq. Holding up signs and honoring our men at the recruitment centers.

Where is our friend A.J.??? He inspired me to remember we are a republic and we can organize and FORCE CHANGE.

Kerry hasn't changed his rhetoric since he screwed over our troops during Vietnam, at a time when my husband was fighting in Vietnam. If there is one person on this planet I utterly despise, it is John effin' Kerry! He sounds exactly the way he did back then, and has never had anything remotely positive to add to this country. Vietnam veterans were betrayed by this pathetic coward, and I wish he'd move to France with the rest of the yellow-bellied wonders.

You bet I'm enjoying the moment, anonymous... immensely! The Democrats represent nothing but defeatism and cowardice. I thank God every day I'm not stupid enough to be a dumb Democrat.

An then there is the Kerry of the 1970's... the words 'JenJiss Khan' come to mind, and how really awful the US troops were and just a true barbarian horde. Now he has *upgraded* them to mere simpletons! Such a sweet fellow, this John F. Kerry.

This election is witnessing the meltdown of the two party system full and complete. I don't think I have seen a political battle quite like this in my life. Both sides are stooping low in many races and the voters are getting turned off, yet again.

But, even if they don't use it, the Republicans have found the high road of humor and couple that with starting to trail Mr. Kerry around on a continual basis to catch his every wonderful word and they could, indeed, dislocate the Democratic Party as it is the party of *no humor*. The more the Democratic Left digs in, the more awful they become and the serious dedication to which their causes are *not* flocked to frustrate them.

Now we hear a few Democrats saying that they have a *plan* for Iraq, Afghanistan and the world. Yes, and so does Mr. Kerry! He ran on that, having his super-secret plan which would blow everyone away... and then he *never* revealed it for the Nation to marvel at his capacity to put plans together. Needless to say the Republican non-plan isn't of much help either, but at least they have that old Hamiltonian stick-to-itiveness that absolutely guarantees that we will have extra generations for this war.

Somehow it is the adaptable Jacksonians that are the ones pushing to get things done now and not let this fester any more. Slowly this concept is coming together and maybe, just maybe, if I can keep it together enough mentally for awhile and get my connectivity back, An Agenda for the 21st Century can be made. Not a two-sided agenda... not Democratic or Republican, not Conservative or Liberal, not even Coke or Pepsi... more like a can of Whoop Ass!

That's what the political system of this Nation is getting to need...

Mike: comments from stupid pols don't reside on primarily one side of the aisle, they exist on both sides. It's politics as usual. Stupid is as stupid says, both sides. It's just interesting that TV news seems to have mentioned the issue, yet the paper DEM have placed the issue on Ignore Mode.

Chance: Kerry may learn; time will tell.

Rebecca: I am of the opinion that the true Kerry slipped out -- and of course his arrogance in making his refusal to apologize quick and strident.

Gayle: I believe that John Kerry intended to walk directly in the footsteps of the first JFK, complete with initials and popularity. Boston cultivated arrogance doesn't quite work so well.

Oh my goodness

Rebe said: "We don't follow our leaders blindly like the libs do." There is a reason there is a such thing called ditto-head.

Yes you guys do. I cannot understand for the life of me how one person's comment gets attributed as the attitude of everyone else. This is the same type of crap they label on black folks as though we are all monolithic in our thinking.

This is just something the right is falling over themselves over because they know they are losing on the issues.

James: I concur; it is not the attitude of everyone else. It is, however, John Kerry's elitist, Boston, arrogant attitude. Even Hillary Clinton wanted an apology from Kerry. And did Kerry apologize. Sure. For making a "botched joke." Not for the content or for what he actually MEANT, but for a "botched joke."

What an asshole.

Oh please... so it's a joke that to be honest, wasn't funny if it wasn't botched, and the content is BS. Do you mean to tell me that this should get more attention than the issues?

Heck, when the left tried to bash the right for the Foley crap, all I heard was "individualism... don't judge the entire party... blah blah blah"

With all things that are going on in the world and in this country, you would think this election cycle would be better than this.

It's been a bunch of bull crap from both parties. I'll be glad when its over so we can get back to ignoring these politicians while they F-up the country.

James, you crack me up.. HA!

AJ,
I agree. I have heard Savage say the same thing in a sense. I do think we are winning in Iraq, however I think we should have gone in there no holds barred and bombed the crap out of them so that the TERRORISTS, not insurgents, couldn't get in anywhere. Sure a lot of civilians would have perished, but they needed to go into the sunni triangle and just obliterate the enemy.. I agree with savage on that issue.

Rebecca - That, unfortunately, is getting rid of the symptoms and ensuring they continue. My plan to stabilize Iraq goes after the disease to end the flood of terrorists.

But it is a Jacksonian Plan and thus sure to be hated by *everyone*. The Right would be required to actually get something *done* and HAVE a foreign policy. The Left would not only be required to do both, but to then realize that the 'root causes' can only be addressed in a language that is understood by the region and 'diplomacy' and 'law enforcement' to that region are *jokes*. And *both* SIDES would be required to actually stand FOR the Nation and WITH the people we have rescued from tyranny. Something the Left is willing to betray at a drop of the hat and the Right is willing to let go whenever it is a political inconvenience. And for all the talk about how much both SIDES believe in human rights, they are looking to do damn little about making sure that they are secured for ANYONE, ANYWHERE at ANY TIME.

And none of them will DO those things necessary to go forward and Build the Republic by getting the job done. Because they both want extra generations with this war and I do NOT. It is OUR problem as a generation and cleaning it up may have required others to do things before this but it is OURS now. And I will not hand a more dangerous world over to our children when I could have advocated something that would work to END this mess.

And so I do that.

Blunt. Straightforward. Serious.

And, strangely, it can be achieved with very little extra commitment from the US. If anyone ever bothered to look and think about the problem AS A PROBLEM and *not* a damn political football. Jacksonians do that.

Jacksonians adjust instantly to the 'Global Village' because the things we adhere to ARE scale-free networks that apply from the personal to the National to the International... and to the Galactic should this poor race of ours ever get that far, which I am seriously doubting of late.
