(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Miss America Confronts Three Robbers

Miss America, whilst on her farm in Waynesburg, Kentucky, about 140 miles south of Cincinnati, had need of a firearm to protect her property.

On April 13, while feeding horses, she followed her dog when it ran over to the building, where a truck was parked in front.

She confronted a man who told her he was "scrapping" and would not leave.

"I said, 'Oh, no you won't,' and I shot their tires so they couldn't leave," Ramey told the Cincinnati paper.

She didn't think twice about shooting.

"I just went and did it. If they'd even dared come close to me, they'd be 6 feet under by now," she said.

There's more, of course: the woman, Venus Ramey, was awarded the title of Miss America, in 1944.

She pulled out her .38 snubnose whilst glued to her walker, having confronted the robbers on her property at age 82.

God bless this classic American Woman, on all fronts.

A few more grannies like her and the world would think twice about victimizing "helpless old ladies". Stories like this always do the heart good.

Shoprat: no kidding. It brings us all down to reality and reminds us that there isn't much that can't be done when we've a mind to.

TF: I do, yahoo!!

To summarize: people say much can be accomplished with a smile. I say that perhaps even MORE can be accomplished with a smile and a .38 snubnose.

Al Capone said basically the same thing:

"You can get a lot further with a kind word and a gun than a kind word alone..."

Only thing is, I don't DO .38... If it doesn't have a '4' on the front, it's too lite for serious consideration..

I fell in love with that .40 Springfield when I saw it and those Golden Sabre rounds are awesome... Might be a bit much for the old gal but damn, I love this story so much...

Nothing better than an ARMED and justified American...
