Bloviating Zeppelin: Big Brother DEMANDS That You Obey!

Bloviating Zeppelin

(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Big Brother DEMANDS That You Obey!

Ladies and gentlemen, the war is on, the gloves are off, our sovereignty is under fire, out lives are threatened from without and, at the same time, we have to fight our own government:

  • In many venues, you can no longer smoke in your own car when a child is present;
  • In many venues, you can no longer smoke in your own home;
  • In many venues, you can no longer have your groceries placed in plastic or paper bags;
  • In some venues, children cannot play games or run on the playground;
  • In some venues, there are additional taxes on sweet or fattening foods;
  • In some venues, you cannot even smoke in public, in parks, sports facilities, etc;
  • In some venues, there are laws regarding the kinds and types of water bowls and the food "pet guardians" may use for animals;
  • In some venues, you cannot even possess a handgun despite various state laws allowing same;
  • In some venues, you cannot speak or write certain words (Google: California SB 777, which has been signed into law by Gov. Schwarzenegger);
And more.

Now, in Fornicalia, the California Energy Commission wants control over the temperature inside your home:

California utilities would control the temperature of new homes and commercial buildings in emergencies with a radio-controlled thermostat, under a proposed state update to building energy efficiency standards.

Customers could not override the thermostats during "emergency events," according to the proposal, part of a 236-page revision to building standards. The document is scheduled to be considered by the California Energy Commission, a state agency, on Jan. 30.

The description does not provide any exception for health or safety concerns. It also does not define what are "emergency events."

And be prepared, folks. This may in fact become law. And if it does so in Fornicalia, what do you suppose will be heading for your state? Particularly following November of 2008?

Can we all say "baaaa," in unison?

To my Fornicalia readers: have you seen this in print yet? Made public? Front page? No? I wonder why that might be? But building MORE power plants? More infrastructure for Fornicalia's INCREASING population -- mostly ILLEGAL? Common sense? Oh no; let's freeze people in Winter, boil them in Summer, then let their homes be dark and dangerous with CFL lights containing MERCURY, then CHARGE THEM MORE MONEY to dispose of and clean up broken CFLs.

This is another volley of communism in fornicalia BZ, Now how long until they start telling us what to eat, when to eat it and where to get toilet paper?

How long will we sit by and let them do it? We are headed for a LARGE conflict within our borders and if this temperature control issue becomes acceptable to the masses, it will signal to those in power that they can do more...

I think a revolution is not far away, I only hope I am not alive to see it.

Welcome to the Nannystate.

Brought to you by the two party system so you can be Nannied at to obey everything at once and live just like you are told to do!

Transfats? Banished by Bloomberg!

Internet Gambling? Banned by Republicans!

Draconian care mileage laws? Administered by Democrats!

Idiotic schooling making children less well read and unable to help them read at a better rate than in 1958? A bi-partisan winner for decades!

Its *good for you* to do as you are told.

It is *for the children* don't you know...

Soon, I am sure, we will have *bodily purification* where only certain types of body are seen as fit to keep around. It is for the good of society!

That last, I am sure, will be bi-partisan also.

Bush: you already heard, I assume, Sheryl Crow coming out with a ONE FUCKING PIECE LIMIT to toilet paper, have you not? 1.5 gallon per flush toilets? Which have to be flused TWICE to get our SHIT down the line when, oddly enough, the 3 gallon per flush toilet was JUST FINE?

I do in fact believe that there is a revolution coming, and that it MAY be violent. And where will the most oppression occur first? Fornicalia, of course.

AJ: sigh. I wish I knew the answers. But perhaps I am starting to formulate them, and some won't be happy.

Yeah I heard all about that stuff BZ, and I know it's continuing across the nation in one form or another... I am getting very sick of it and I HOPE the majority of AMERICANS see that with a demorat president it will get worse...

Ahhnold is a RINO of the highest order. and several of the current crop of Republican hopefuls fit that bill as well... 08 could be the year of CHANGE, but the change we might see will be bloody and violent HERE and Abroad.

BZ, This is a truly incredible post pointing out the hugest concern for most of us THINKING people.

Honestly, BZ as positive as I want to be about this next election, we are facing one of the biggest threats to our nation: Hillary or Obama, and it looks like it is GOING to happen either in 2008 or 2012. THEY HAVE TO GET IN SOME TIME, and they are further left than they have ever been and it is getting worse.. i.e. CALIFORNIA.

Let's not forget the Rhino Republicans as well. I love Bush, but he was too moderate in some areas for me and it may have done more damage to our party than we are willing to admit. (i.e. a recent article by Rush Limbaugh's brother.. Great article).

We went from Reagan conservatism to Bush which is too moderate. That is why we are backing the Huckabees and McCains.

I remember when we thought Arnold was the next best thing to cherry pie.. WRONG.. he is really a far left lib.

There is a smoking ban set up for a vote in Missouri. Talk about intrusion, and I have even heard some 'reagan conservatives' say it is a good deal because it is a way to protect the Health of citizens! They are banning it in all restaraunts only, but STILL it is govt. intruding on the decisions small business' owners should make.. There is a thing called competition. Just don't frequent the ones that have smoking!

It won't be long until they ban all grills from back yards because of the recent study that said there are too many carcinogens in the smoke. If your home is too close to someone else they could sue you.. OR if Global Warming kicks in like I think it WILL, they will ban it because of what it does to the air... SHEESH...

I agree with Bushwack.. I don't want to be around when things get worse.

When I lived in california in the '80s I was struck by the fact you just about had to apply for a permit to shit there, and if, perchance you farted without authorization you could be sure your neighbor would turn you in, and sue you both. owning property means nothing there because your neighbor has more rights on your property than you do. and government is going to tell you you can't do that on your property 1 week after thy gave you permission to. I sat quietly by and watched californios move north into oregon and washington taking these attitudes and policies with them. now the cancer is spreading all over this country! we are going to have to put a stop to this, caifornians! freedom does not mean telling your neighbor how to live! get that through your hard little heads!

There's a site that gathers up information on nany-state laws and just plain dumb laws around the country and around the world, and explains how the law came into being. Some are absolutely "wtf?" x 10.

Guys, if you haven't watched the movie: "The Lives of Others".. YOU MUST SEE IT. My hubby and I just watched it today as we are getting over our sickness (bronchitis).
The kids can't see it, only 2 nude parts.
It is about East Berlin before the wall came down and about the lives of two people who are being watched by the state police. It is an INCREDIBLE flick.
It is a salient reminder of what could be a reality here in the U.S. if Hill or Obama get elected. IT won't happen right away, but after a while it sure could.

I am thinking I might do a post on the movie.

Brave New World was off on the year, but it's all coming true.

Exellent Post, BZ. I wish this could be broadcast all over the land! Even if it were though, many would poo-poo it as being hysterical, which it definitely is not!

More control:

It's a law to wear seatbelts, even though the only person you will hurt if you don't wear one is yourself.

Don't you dare insult anyone who happens to be Black, Mexican, Muslim, or any minority group in this country. You might be charged with a hate crime. It's okay to insult conservatives and Christians though.

Don't pray out loud in a government building of any sort, at least not to our Lord or God. It's okay if it's Allah. That'll be tolerated.

I could go on but this is getting depressing. :(

Below is the link to Hutchinson's response to the fence issue:

What I don't get is that it is o.k. for the government to take land, i.e. imminent domain and make it into whatever they want. YET, the govt. can't put a fence up to keep illegals out?

My uncle is a farmer and had the govt. take his land that passed down through the family. They paid him for it, but he had to buy it back. He had to have it for his livlihood. They wanted to make it a public place and they did. To this day he was only able to buy back some of it. NOW the govt. tells him whether or not he can cut down trees!

Hence the fence. Some of the land owners don't want it, but I see this fence as more important for the security of our nation. It would benefit Texas in so many ways. It would protect those landowners from any criminal element crossing the border.

Just my 2 cents..

hell,,let's just tear up the 51 Constitutions that our governments are supposed to abide by. they no longer serve the purpose intended by the founding fathers.

as for the Bill of Rights they should be renamed the Bill of Privileges.
