Bloviating Zeppelin

(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

December 21st, 2012

The webbots (Web Bot Project) indicate there will be some kind of culminating massive temporal disturbance on this date.

The day of the winter solstice.

Many people and organizations believe that our planet and, perhaps, our universe is in for a massive change come that date.

Even the New York Times magazine asks questions about what some people believe may be "the end times."

Do I discount these theories out of hand?

I myself do not.

You?

Yes this is the most talked about 'end of the world' date since the Millerites. It is that great galactic cycle moving for the instant of the sun transiting in through the galactic plane and the Earth lining up to see directly into the heart of the galaxy... where the great Long Count of all the sub-cycles also coincide with a new start date... every 1,125,698 days. Yes, indeedy... starting off at B'a'ktun 1!

The kicker?

There are Mayan prediction dating for post-B'a'ktun 1... looks to be relatively normal for the state of affairs.

That is why it is called a 'cycle' and not a nomitive end of the universe. Otherwise the Earth would have been destroyed... hmmmm... 11,000 years give/take divided into 4.5 billion, plus adjustments for rotation of the Earth being faster and drifting in the galaxy for the entire solar system... call it 409.09 cycles total, do a bit of round up for speed of rotation and call it 410 cycles, total. Mind you the Mayan system doesn't go back to the start of the solar system as they believe the Earth has always been here and always will be here going through cycles.

Will the line-up date happen? Sure enough!

Notice what happened on the day all the planets in the solar system aligned with each other? No? Missed that back in the '80s?

Notice that things just don't seem to happen by astrological calendars and reading one's sign, today, is usually on an un-adjusted astrological table and the constellations have shifted so you really weren't born under the sign you thought you were? No?

Would you like to buy a bridge in Brooklyn? It's *cheap*!

I seriously doubt a Mayan calender can accurately predict the return of the King but then who knows.

I'm still looking for the star in the east, the 2nd coming, Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the tooth fairy...

In other words, I put NO stock in it at all...
