(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Yes, I was wrong. And am I surprised.

Tactically, a fine choice. A Conservative, a female, and someone who knows about energy, coming from the number one oil producing state.

McCain wised up on this one. He "out-Obama'd" Obama. No ancient, fossilized, staid, "business as usual" white male like Biden for his Veep. Instead, a young 44-year-old female Conservative. Do you see a female on Obama's ticket, Demorats? Who's "inclusive" now?

Overall, very nice job, John.

I'm voting McCain.

I am somewhat pleased. It was a smart move and best of all, at this precise moment, it knocked the Obamassiah off the headlines. This has em talking.

I think it was a good move. I am a little worried about the "unknown" factor but she will be able to get noticed (not bad on the eyes, better than MissHell and Shillary)Romney had the Mormon thing around his neck (even if its for no good reason) and Pawlenty is from MN with only a couple of exceptions they run right up there with Mass for poor judgement. Huckabee I think was seen as too "fundamental" maybe even more of a percieved liability then being Mormon.

I am shocked and ecstatic!!!!!! She was my favorite pick after J.C. Watts. He couldn't have picked better to appease the conservative base. I just boarded the straight talk express.

Best move McCain could have made.

Female? check
Conservative? check
Pro-life? check
Energy smart? check
Executive experience? check

Now, it's a vote FOR Palin and her running mate as opposed to a vote AGAINST Obama.

All: I was, for a moment, wondering if she's sufficiently tough to endure the scrutiny that's to come, the wearing debates etc., but word is that she's a "take charge" individual who's not adverse to firing folks, cutting a large swath, being a leader. This, I believe, is a very good choice for McCain.

Did you hear that noise? It was the sound of the Democrats Identity Politics Platinum HateCard getting eaten by their ATM.

"The number you have dialled, 'My Nuanced Protected Victim Class Status' is no longer in service and there is no new number."

There is a difference now: Sanctity of life, yes or no? It is all downhill after that question.

Dear God, please help us to climb out of the abyss of idiot judicial activists and politicians who think they can fool all of the people all of the time, Speaker Pelosi, Justice Kennedy, CA Supreme Court Justice George, Gray Davis.

I'm glad I wrote McCain that check!

Never heard of her until yesterday. I will take a long hard look and watch the RNC Convention.

Whatever happens, it should be fun from here on out.

It is an excellent tactical move by Sen. McCain. Perhaps the best in his entire career.

Unfortunately I must vote the top of the ticket.

Both Palin and McCain have talked about additional taxes on oil companies - 'windfall profits taxes'... just as we need more drilling and the money to get that comes from? Yes, profits. So we now have a R ticket that disses big business... fascinating.

Both like global warming? So that is a bi-partisan big thumbs-up on whatever idiocy is proposed to address a problem that isn't happening.

Do not get me wrong: I like Gov. Palin and she is an excellent choice and it was perfectly timed to remove any momentum of the Edmund Obama.

Now about the decay of Mexico and the southern border...

I vote strategically, and I am still without a candidate.

I have NOT made ANY secret of the fact that I am not terribly enthusiastic about John McCain becoming the President of the USA.

Be that as it may, I am absolutely convinced that there is NO WAY the American people can allow Obama and O’Biden to take the Oval Office. It is just not an acceptable scenario, not in any way, shape, form or fashion.

That said, today John McCain made a decision that brought his stock up greatly in my estimation. Today John McCain announced that Sarah Palin of Alaska is going to be his running mate in his quest for the presidency.

Sarah Palin is a great choice in my opinion, and one that makes McCain a much more desirable choice for the office of POTUS. Palin brings style and grace into this race. She is a very smart and politically savvy candidate, she is Pro Life, Pro ANWR drilling, Pro Gun owners rights and she is a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.

It is with great relief that I say, I can now honestly support a McCain for President ticket. The addition of Sarah Palin to this ticket makes it what I believe to be an unbeatable combination!

I may be hardheaded, but I am NOT stupid.

Well, as you probably have heard, we love the job Palin is doing for us up here - an eighty-something approval rating after 20 months, almost unheard of in the real world. I will have very mixed emotions when they WIN the election as we will be losing a heck of a Governer . . . . .
