(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

The Tip of the Iceberg

Folks:

This is just the proverbial tip of the iceberg; expect the scare tactics and the outright lies and falsehoods about the McCain/Palin ticket -- and particularly about Sarah Palin -- to commence. Expect to be unloaded upon by the DEM/MSM with both barrels and then some.

Isn't it ironic: the Demorats and Feminists indicating that Sarah Palin is "unfit for politics" because she needs to stay home and tend to her children. So I suppose, then, that only completely childless women are eligible for politics because, after all, the husbands can't care for the children? And in all fairness, shouldn't the men be completely childless as well? Continue reading, please.

A disappointing development: Dr. Laura Schlessinger, whom I generally admire, came out earlier this week and penned an article regarding Sarah Palin which read, in part:

I’m stunned - couldn’t the Republican Party find one competent female with adult children to run for Vice President with McCain? I realize his advisors probably didn’t want a “mature” woman, as the Democrats keep harping on his age. But really, what kind of role model is a woman whose fifth child was recently born with a serious issue, Down Syndrome, and then goes back to the job of Governor within days of the birth?

I beg to differ -- and rather vehemently. I disagree completely that Palin is not a competent female with adult children. The issue of the Downs child is essentially moot, save the infant portion. Downs children -- and this is directly from NDSS -- require generally no more "intensive care" than any other infant or child. Palin's is an intact, healthy family. To denigrate Sarah Palin because of her less-than-perfect family is preposterous.

In commenting on her article live on the air, Dr. Laura also indicated that Palin should make a statement about her daughter's pregnancy situation. Again, I couldn't disagree more. You do not, and I repeat, you do not take one of your children and lambaste them in public. Sarah Palin should do what she will in her private life and handle her daughter's unwed pregnancy in that fashion: privately. In my opinion, shame on Dr. Laura Schlessinger for her stance. I've listened to her time and again state that one parent should primarily be available for the children -- and in this case, that happens to be Sarah Palin's husband Todd.

As Dr. Laura Schlessinger knows, no situation and no family and no individual is perfect -- herself included. She does no one any favors by intimating that the Palin family is disfunctional and that Sarah Palin is incompetent.

If Sarah Palin is incompetent because she has younger children, I'll still take an entire nation full of Sarah Palins and her family as opposed to what the Leftists and Socialists have to offer: death.

Again: shame on you, Dr. Schlessinger.

And the rest of my readers and those in support of the McCain/Palin ticket: be forewarned. We're in this for the Long Run. We have only glimpsed a brief tip of the Lie Iceberg Express that's running at full throttle, helmed by the Defeatist, Elitist Media/MainStream Media complex. You know American journalists -- the finest media that staid east coast Limousine Liberal dinner parties can buy!

P.S.
Guess what? Obama and McCain are tied again according to a CBS poll. You mean that the Obamessiah cannot manage to pull completely away from a doddering, balding fossil like McCain and his evil, gun-toting bimbo running mate??

I always cheer up immensely if an attack is particularly wounding because I think, well, if they attack one personally, it means they have not a single political argument left.

I'm stunned that Schlessinger would say such a thing, BZ. I've just lost tons of respect for her!

I think a lot of women are completely green with envy. Sarah Palin is both beautiful and smart as a whip. They couldn't compete with her and they know it. What a shame that so many are so petty. This attack of Schlessinger's sounds like envy to me. I second your comment: Shame on her!

I too generally support Dr. Laura but the best people sometimes do the dumbest things.

I think Sarah Palin knows exactly what she's in for and is up to the fight.

TF: that's one helluva quote and SO apropos!

Gayle: more pointedly, the Dem WOMEN know they cannot compete with her, not with their World Outlook and their negativity. And in regard Negativity -- one tends to get back what one throws out.

Shop: I think Joe Biden had best not underestimate her. Or perhaps -- "Hey Joe, you can smoke her, why study up?" Better yet.

I support Dr. Laura, too, but this is BEYOND THE PALE. It's like Newt and Bob Bennett complimenting Obama for what he said about the pregnancy thing....as if he could say anything BUT THAT? COMPLIMENT OBAMA?

With friends like this, who needs enemies? If Dr. Laura feels like that, SHUT UP, please.....you're a conservative, your son's in this war, we don't NEED the gazillion women who listen to your show or read your blog to be dissuaded from voting for a candidate with SO MUCH MORE than her opponents on EVERY SUBJECT.

this is truly sickening. :-(

I gotta tell ya... these attacks by Lame stream media are only making her more popular where I'm at. We even have people calling in on the local talk shows asking if she would come up and run for Prime Minister!!... LOL

We're probably a little more familiar with her then you are, as she is the one who handled the negotiations for the gas pipeline through the Mackenzie Valley, which involves direct negotiations with the Alberta Gov. .. she was very tough, but very fair, and we, as an energy producer, have a great relationship with Alaska, and Montana for that matter. Both Governors have been here quite a few times...

It was kind of funny cause when the greedy Prov Gov. up here decided to raise royalties, just because, the Governor of Montana came up and said all the rigs could pull into there state where the taxes were lower....... so they did... LOL ... serves our Gov. right for being greedy bastards, but the point is, increasing taxes to corporations will only make them look for greener pastures.... and it doesn't matter to them one bit what country they have to move to. Obama could be facing the same issue, because if he decides to push a windfall tax, it's no skin off an oil companies ass to cap the sucker, and move on to a more profitable hole, and wait for a regime change.... they did it here in 1979...

I really don't know if it is the tip of the iceberg. I am starting to think the media/democrats are putting out too much too fast.

They could burn all of this out and have nothing for an October surprise.

Dr. Laura really dropped the ball on this one.

For one thing, Sarah Palin is no different than the thousands of women serving in our Armed Forces who have young children. Many of these women, and some men, are single parents subject to deployments, long hours, alerts, and remote tours. Although it's tough, they manage to do just fine. With her husband at her side, Sara's family will also do just fine.

As far as her son with Downs Syndrome goes, that boy will have access to the best medical care in the United States, if needed. Like you pointed out, that child will need no more intensive care than any other child. It also looks like his big sisters are always there to help out.

Laura has said things like this before, about other children. She told a mother of an Autistic child to give him up to the state because it was unfair for his siblings to have to deal with him. It makes me wonder what the good Doctor really thinks of special needs children.
