(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Polls, Trolls, Goals

Omigosh, there are SO many things to write about and, with this exception, I'll make a multiple-issue post (though I much prefer single-topic publishings). Where to start? I know: at the start.

IT AIN'T OVER 'TIL IT'S OVER:
It greatly disappoints me that certain Conservative circles are already throwing in the proverbial towel when it comes to the McCain/Palin ticket. WRONG. That tattered towel is currently, in truth, being utilized to mop the sweat from fevered brows of Leftists who wonder, why-oh-why, it is that the Obamessiah isn't 20, 30, 40 points ahead of the ancient, doddering, balding, pasty white guy and the Alaskan Hot Chick?

Most are predicating their prognostications upon such simplistic and, at their core, essentially inaccurate things as polls prior to a given event; but, more importantly, polls that the DEM/MSM are able to pick and choose when they serve. That means there are polls that you won't hear, read, see. Investor's Business Daily reports, as of Thursday:

IBD/TIPP Tracking Poll: Day Eleven
Posted: Thursday, October 23, 2008
McCain has cut into Obama's lead for a second day and is now just 1.1 points behind. The spread was 3.7 Wednesday and 6.0 Tuesday. The Republican is making headway with middle- and working- class voters, and has surged 10 points in two days among those earning between $30,000 and $75,000. He has also gone from an 11-point deļ¬cit to a 9-point lead among Catholics.

But, of course, you won't even remotely read, hear, see of this.

Please allow me to Bloviate, if I may, on polls specifically applicable to this electoral season:

Many people purposely lie to pollsters. I make it one of my life's goals to do so. But I am an individual who tends to push and bull his way through Life; I am not what one would typify as a political Shrinking Violet.

Other people, however, for many reasons, will provide information to pollsters because they don't wish to be viewed as "judgmental" in any form -- particularly in public. They don't wish to be interpreted as against what may be contrary to the common media and -- yes -- that would be the Defeatist, Elitist Media/MainStream Media. These persons would also include those who have a natural Conservative, religious or Republican bent because they're not overbearing (in terms of telling the pollsters to f__ off) nor are they inclined to have their very personal views challenged or excoriated -- again -- in public. Their thoughts and philosophies are private.

Who are the loudest, I would ask? The Few. Who are quietest, I would ask? The Most.

------------------------

As of Friday, October 24th, there are 11 more days to the election. It is NOT over.

------------------------

This is NOT "just" a Presidential election. It is an election for the future of this nation.

------------------------

LET'S JUST CHECK THE OIL:
Since the breakdown of a good portion of our national banking and lending institutions, another indicator that has recently been largely ignored is that of oil. I have a very specific thought regards oil. And that is this:

A barrel of oil peaked recently in July at $147. The day of this post, Thursday 10-23, oil has more than halved in price. It is now $66 a barrel. In Fornicalia, this was reflected in a personally-observed cash Arco pricing of $2.92 per gallon on Thursday.

Why has the price of oil been plunging? Why is it literally half the price of what it was a mere three months ago?

I submit this for your consideration: there are fewer speculators screwing with oil prices. They are worried about other, more overarching, issues.

Of course, I anticipate that your clarion call will be: "but BZ, don't you consider and in-factor the downturn in purchasing by the motoring public, you ignorant wienie?"

To which I would reply: yes, I have considered that fully. With my personally-crafted retort to include:

Then why, until now, didn't oil prices reduce appropriately when it was clear that the so-called motoring public was drastically diminishing their consumption of gasoline? I asked myself: what other factor might there have been?

To which I answered immediately: the general crashing of the economy.

And therefore what do I conclude, you may ask?

The issue of high petroleum pricing didn't factor that of actual global supply. Global supply is good. It became a two-pronged issue:

Actual usage, coupled with:

A poor stock market in the US and globally.

Consider power and consider oil on this specific day:

Oil prices plummeting completely emasculate Russia and Venezuela and Saudi Arabia and any number of OPEC nations seeking Oil Power.

Once again emphasizing, with factual occurrences: the sooner that the United States can begin domestic drilling on every front, coast, state, the sooner we can cast those who hate us into the wind.

The sooner that we can become "energy independent" the happier we shall be.

But that includes every source with which the Leftists object:
  • No nuclear power plants;
  • No coal-fired plants;
  • No solar (takes too much groundspace)
  • No water-provided (would require dams and gravity-fed forebays)
  • No wind-powered (blades kill seasonal and rotational birds, bats)
That's about enough for this post.

BZ

P.S.
I've actually had trolls on my site. Imagine that!

I have had an influx of the lowest form of life at my site too... Trolls, Obamatrons, IDIOTS, and Liberals...But I repeat myself.

Anyway, some in conservative circles very concerned that this election is over. Count me in that pool. I am worried that it might be over, BUT I am also concerned that the media is making it appear that way in order to give justification to the "Rioters" and "looters" post election.

The cry's of stolen election, fraud and cheat just like we had during the 200, 2004 elections are already starting...IF Obama loses we will be inundated with the most vile accusations known to man, and that will be by the media...

YOU are so encouraging..when I get down, I come here and read you and get optimistic again! WE CAN WIN...how the heck can the polls be THIS tight with the media SO in the bag for the empty suit? IMpossible! I'm thinking McCain has to be ahead...ACORN might win this election (you know, that little group Obama's not really familiar with!?LOL) but the American public still hasn't completely tanked for the Greek column king.

WE HAVE TO VOTE!! the media's trying to demoralize McCain voters "Ah, it's over..I"m not voting" WE CAN'T ALLOW THAT TO HAPPEN! What the heck happened to AMERICA, BZ?

Glad to see I'm not the only one who does this.

This is a bit off topic but it reminds me of all the "polls" showing a decline in gun ownership in America.

What would you say if someone called you and asked if you had guns in your home, how many, and how they were stored?

Polls are only accurate if people tell the truth to flaming douche-bags who call during dinner.

Apparently the oil market was in a bubble... and those speculators betting on higher prices? Shirtless, like they should be. Just like the housing bubble, save that its 'too important' to let adults live with the consequences of their economic decisions so lets just get Washington to do that FOR THEM.

Meanwhile where were these fine bozos back in the '90s when they were told that Saddam was bottoming the oil market to hurt out independent producers in America? They had the hearings and what was done? Zip.

Barack Obama? Communist with his own little cult of personality that seems to go with them.

John McCain? Democratic Socialist as he was one of the ones NOT looking out for our domestic producers when Hussein staged his economic assault on that vital sector of our economy.

Remember, this is one election and if you want to start rolling back all the insanity you do not wait for 2012. The R party used to know that the off-year elections were critical to building and sustaining a majority. 2010 is your first chance to start whittling down at that Democratic/RINO system... don't wait for 2012 and a 'leader'. Or is the party meaningless and only concerned about the Executive branch? You want less asinine laws getting to the SCOTUS? Start in the House and Senate and get them *killed* there. By looking to the Executive you *agree* with the idea of a the Progressives that everything should be run from the top.

That fight is hard, hard work, and because giving things away is so much easier than saying 'no' to freebies that cost the taxpayer, it is a neverending fight. When Republicans in the House and Senate push for a 5-day work week for CONGRESS then I will be impressed. They were the ones who went to 4 days and agreed with the Dems to 3 days... yes 3 days of 'work' and 4 days OFF. Leadership doesn't require a leader: it requires a good work ethic, commitment to principles and stepping away from 'giving in' on them to be 'bi-partisan'.

Do vote to keep a communist out of the White House. But ask yourself how you ever wound up with a Social Democrat Party instead of a Republican Party. You know, stand up for the Republic?

That is hard work.

Do the simple things and just let the bozos know they have to do the old 40 hour work week with only legal holidays and 2 weeks vacation in the summer. And see *who* will sign up to that agenda. It will tell you a lot when you start getting looks of 'thats unrealistic' or 'hard to do'. Yes it is... but being a Congresscritter is a JOB not being Aristocracy. Stop electing the latter. I stopped voting for them quite some time ago as all aristocrats care about themselves *first*, their position *second* and their jobs pretty much dead last.

You want the 'Joe the Plumber' constituency?

Make THAT your agenda: to work as hard as the common Joe. And then DO IT. Everything else will follow from that... especially reducing party support to those who take junkets, miss votes and otherwise slack off. That is reinforcing culture to show why conservative values are good and strong values, and that one takes their work seriously for the people and the republic. That is the message Gov. Palin is delivering from the hinterland... and it is pure gold and a winner.

Stop thinking politics and start thinking of how a good culture makes good values and strong politicians to back them. That can be started by 2010 and it could shift this entire Nation from being disenchanted with 'politics as usual' as both parties have made it 'politics as usual' until we get to a communist and social democrat running for office. That does not change at the top, but the bottom. Because no matter who wins this election, the Nation is losing with that political attitude we have today.

Bushwack: but here's a teeny-weeny catch - the Left wouldn't have to set up their "excuses" if this election were IN THE BAG. That's one of the reasons I submit: no it ain't.

Z: thanks. And NO, we CAN'T just sit back, stay home, allow this entire country to be HIJACKED by the Crazy Few or the "Changers."

Wordsmith: Yes, PRECISELY, sir!

Kaveman: welcome aboard, come back anytime, and thanks for taking the time to comment. Number One: WHY would I EVER want to give accurate information to a faceless voice over the telephone? Ever? If for no other reason than security? And at dinner? DOUBLE piss-off!

AJ: you are ABSOLUTELY correct! We cannot afford to WAIT after this election! And yes, we start locally!

One more thing to consider.

With the media spouting off about how inevitable "the Messiah's" return is, hwo many people will look at those long voting lines and say, "Screw it, lines to long, Obama's got it locked up anyway, I don't need to vote, I'll just go home and play video games instead."

Obama's strength is young people, which is the worst demographic as far as voter turn-out.

Answering a question on the phone does not translate to who's willing to actually take the time to cast a ballot.

One of my posts for today, "Polls, Pundits and Paranoia" covers pretty much the same subject, BZ, although it doesn't cover trolls. I did that a couple of days ago. :)

I'm upset at the amount of conservatives who seem to have already given up the fight. Why? I guess they believe the pundits and the polls. Why? After all, the pundits are jaded and should have lost all credibility a long time ago, and the polls are well... polls. When have they ever been accurate?

Nope, it's not anywhere near over and I believe the Obamatrons are going to be madder than hell come November 5th - or whenever the election is over. What with ACORN out there it may take a lot longer than that to get it all straightened out, if ever!

If Obama wins: Lock and Load

If Obama loses: Lock and Load

BZ, I don't know if you're at liberty to say, if not, I understand, but the briefings here are running VERY concerned that there is going to be violence any way it goes...

And the word from *Da 'hood* is, a WIN means "We can go do anything we want to", and these are not being made up, one was quoted as saying, "Once Obama bees 'lected we is not takin' no mo shit off'n you whiteass POlicemens no mo..."

I know what the Intel says in THIS part of the world, and ALL I can say is this, maybe it's time for some of us to put those past personal differences aside, it's going to be WAR and if we don't stand together, we WILL die separately and individually!

TF: there's no such intel running where I work; I would have received it. The area's more wrapped up about a Vietnamese deputy from MY department being involved in the murder of a Vietnamese CA Corrections Officer as he was going to work a few weeks ago. Looks like the deputy involved in the murder was getting divorced, AND his soon-to-be ex-wife worked at the SAME facility as the murdered officer. Very quiet information indicates a love triangle and Vietnamese gangbangers involved as well. But hey, at least we're more REFLECTIVE of the surrounding "community".

If Conservatives keep talking negative about Obama, McCain will lose the election.

If Conservative start talking positive about McCain, they will win the election.

It's really simple.

The Conservatives just don't seem to know how simple it really is.

Tell us, why we should vote for McCain, plain and simple.

AA, actually, yes, there are a lot of stupid people out there who care more about what Brittney Spears is doing and who's voted off on the latest reality show. Evidence: people actually blame Bush and the Republicans for the economic downturn instead of laying the blame where it belongs, and they are about to put a party in power who's solution is to do more of the same of what got us into this mess in the first place.

I don't think it is over by far. We still have a chance to win. They were wrong about Kerry and Gore at this time, so I think it is a 50-50 toss up.

That said, I do think the demorat party is basically socialist and eventually it will be their turn. Let's hope they never get a turn.

Let's also hope that congress doesn't get the 'supermajority' they think they are getting.

What can you do with a pollster?

You can give them your TRUE feelings, right?

And, because they are only FEELINGS, you can CHANGE them when you feel what you feel the moment you're inside the voting booth.

Intimacy is, after all, truly INTIMATE.
