Bloviating Zeppelin: Purposely Bringing Terror To America

Bloviating Zeppelin

(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Purposely Bringing Terror To America

Yoni the Blogger spoke on Friday, January 23rd, from Seattle, on the Hugh Hewitt show and stated that, regarding Gitmo and its closure, bringing terrorists to America will result in new domestic terrorists being created by the terrorists brought here -- by dint of the nature of their association with our incarcerated citizens.

And Hugh, unfortunately, shined Yoni on and cut him off.

Yoni Tidi needs to be taken more seriously. And so does the issue of the Guantanamo base closure.

Q: If the detainees are transferred to the U.S. mainland would they have the same rights as other Americans?
A: This was a strong argument made by the Bush administration in opposing a move to the U.S. mainland from Guantanamo. By transferring them to the U.S. mainland, more legal options could be open to detainees to challenge their imprisonment.

This is just, on so many levels, such an incredibly ridiculous move.

These are people who have no central government, who purposely wear no uniform, who purposely have no central administration, who purposely have no central unifying force, who purposely fight as insurgents and terrorists singly and in small numbers, who purposely have no unifying and recognizable flag, elements, graphics, contactable and recognizable singular authority, who purposely insert themselves into the civilian population in order to portray themselves and their surrounding civilians as victims.

Because, of course, these terrorists do nothing but hide behind the skirts of women and the cribs of infants in hopes of enabling their purposes.

They know that, in the venue of open thoughts and courage, they abominably FAIL.

These are persons with whom the Geneva Conventions should NOT even remotely apply.

And for that reason, Gitmo should remain open. Away from American soil and purposely separated from American law.

There are 245 alien combatants involved. Not thousands or even multiple hundreds. This does nothing but enable a pre-9/11 mentality.

If we are "nicer" to terrorists -- of course -- they'll be "nicer" to us.

The ultimate question one must ask: Does this make America safer?

Yes?

If these assholes refuse to play by any rules . . . then why should we?

I agree BZ.... Gitmo should be taken nice and slowly.

I do ask however..How long do we keep these ragheads without charging them with a crime? 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 years?

I say charge them, convict them and then execute them.

I also know there's 4 al-Qaeda members that won't be going to gitmo as of today, instead they are going to their graves.

Ranando: how long did Germany keep POWs in their camps? Did they release our soldiers or allied soldiers at a whim? Did they not release when it became apparent their war had been lost and abandoned? Yes. It was.

However, with your charge, I am with you on that: take it to the NEXT level.

CHARGE them AND kill them.

I don't disagree with you there.

Unfortunately.

That requires actual determination and a complete set of testicles.

Not a vagina. Or menopause. But a recognition of the superiority of the Male View.

Incorrect.

There was a story on ABC about a Saudi detainee who was released and is now a high ranking menber of Al queda in as I recall Yemen. So now Obama intends to release 245 MORE?!?!?!
Jst try them and the kill them or screw the trial and just kill them.

You'd think that after 9/11, something like electing a terrorist as President, & pouring all the terrorists into this country could never happen. Unfortunately, it seems that we must say, "only in America."

Ranando is right... Give em a trial, convict them and then execute them...

I have NO problem with that, Obama and Company would, as BZ stated so eloquently, BALLS...

Balls said the Queen.. If I had 2 I would be King... And we do have a Puss in the Oval Office...

Had breakfast with a lib girlfriend...
"We're better than them...we just can't torture and Gitmo has to close...."
I said "Our being BETTER is going to get us DEADER, Julia"
She knew SO little about Obama and said I was nuts when I mentioned the truth about Ayers ("but he DID tell all the ways he knew him"! wrong, Julia), Wright ("well, he DID say some wrong things, but he's really RIGHT when he says Whites can't feel what Blacks feel..") etc etc.

Of course this Gitmo closing sends a terrible message to our enemy...They know this is happening, they see we're not going to interrogate full steam.....I wish we knew THEIR plans as much as our country's telling OURS.

NO TRIAL. NO WAY

Howdy BZ.

Z, you're so right. I've truly never seen such widespread ignorance than in the '08 election.

We send Cuba $4,065.00 a year rent and Castro doesn't even bother cashing the check. That's the best deal the U.S. has going. Why in Hell should we give that up? If these guys have no more useful information then they must be useless. Out with the garbage! You mean to tell me we don't have anybody down their with the balls to man a firing squad? I KNOW we do. Come on NObama, it's not like we expect YOU to pull the trigger.

I think what amuses me is that there was a story written by Liz Sodoti for Associated Press that said Obama was "avoiding divisive stands" (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090124/ap_on_go_pr_wh/obama_first_week)
mentioning only in passing how he now made Federal funds available for abortions again, and discussing the Gitmo closing with a shrug at the many of us who do NOT believe it should be closed.
Typical.
I'm getting quite used to being dismissed.
Considering the man ordered bombs within Pakistan's borders, he seems to be taking a rather aggressive stance, not the peace he promised.
His liberal (and I mean it in terms of generous amount rather than his politics) use of executive orders to impose his views is a wake up call to ANYONE who thought he was truly going to be bipartisan.
He's not.
He knew exactly what his agenda would be. And like most politicians, he wants US to pay the price-for his inaugural party, his wife's designer clothes and the private school for his children.
The way the media has downplayed Obama's heavy handed methods is pretty disgusting in my opinion.

If they are guilty of murder then they should be executed, otherwise just keep them away from civilized people.

I think a couple of you have the impression that the BASE at Gitmo is to be closed. That is not what is happening and the pres cant shut it anyway. What is being closed is the DETENTION Center at Gitmo He can close it because the pres is the one who is responsible for the trial of the prisoners there.

WMD: that's quite correct. It's the detention portion that is to be closed, not the entire base itself, which is extensive. But this is a two-pronged action -- and I think it may come up for review again. I believe Obama may be thinking that he's assuaged some of the Leftists with this, but I wouldn't be surprised if he extends the time alloted for closure.

Since I've used Google Earth before I decided to look aroung Congresscritter Murtha's district. You know, he might be welcoming jihadi terrorists in for other reasons beyond cash... by his own accounts his voters are ill-informed, red neck and uncouth so a prison break from the Murtha Jihadi Convalescent Center and Day Camp might just lead to fewer of such voters left in his district, thus raising the intellectual level of it no end.

Well, those that survive the first few prison escapes, at least. I've looked a bit too much at terrorist cells in the US to get anything but a cold, dark feeling about that. I can think of at least two past operations that could have made a very nice home in PA... no make that three, I forgot Jamaat al-Fuqra...

Apparently waging Private War is no longer *war* to the Left, just a 'crime'. Too bad those waging it haven't gotten the memo and still target places as wartime ones. And once you start inviting them in to make a home, you no longer have any easy way *back* from that, as a Nation.

BZ,

I'm just thinking "out loud" here. But I can't help wondering if this can happen now because enough Americans are now numbed to terrorism due to their abject ignorance & apathy, caused by those in official positions, such as Reid, Pelosi, et. al., ad nauseum. These bums (& bummettes) for personal gain & power, have lied so long about those who truly want to protect the country they love, that many, many Americans have just believed them due to ignorane of the facts. Just wondering.........
