(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

The Sheep Dare To Baa -- A Little

Voters just handed Demorat-led Fornicalia politicians in Sacramento their ass in a special election of six propositions that, in essence, sought to keep recent taxes and/or add taxes. And this in a time of nasty, economic turmoil.

Let me also write this: those propositions wanted to keep and add taxes -- on top of Fornicalia's having recently doubled the vehicle registration fees and increased state and income taxes -- to the tune of roughly an additional $1,600 per family per year!

Would you be shocked and appalled that Fornicalia voters rejected EVERY tax proposition, and only supported a measure which would curb politicians' pay hikes in budget deficit years?

Under Arnold Schwarzenegger, the best governor the states contiguous to California have ever had, people and businesses have been relocating to those states. For four consecutive years, more Americans have moved out of California than have moved in. California's business costs are more than 20 percent higher than the average state's. In the past decade, net out-migration of Americans has been 1.4 million. California is exporting talent while importing Mexico's poverty. The latter is not California's fault; the former is.

If, since 1990, state spending increases had been held to the inflation rate plus population growth, the state would have a $15 billion surplus instead of a $42 billion budget deficit, which is larger than the budgets of all but 10 states. Since 1990, the number of state employees has increased by more than a third. In Schwarzenegger's less than six years as governor, per capita government spending, adjusted for inflation, has increased nearly 20 percent.

Governor Schwarzenegger had promised to cut police and fire services if these propositions were rejected. I voted no. I work in local law enforcement. But I could NOT vote for additional taxes and fee hikes just to see these funds pissed away by Sacramento Demorats and Republicans. Perhaps I have helped to hold the knife which will slit my own throat. But I could not have voted any other way.

Sacramento politicians: the sheep are beginning to baaaaa just a little louder. Keep pushing and you just might see a transformation to sheepdogs -- and then wolves.

THIS JUST IN: FORNICALIANS, PREPARE FOR AN ADDITIONAL GAS TAX --

From the Hogue Blog:

My sources inside of the Capitol have told me that the majority party is ready to offer a statewide emergency “gas tax” to back-fill the general fund. It will be done without the super majority vote of two-thirds, and be labeled as a temporary gas fee (tax) hike - something that can be done with a simple majority vote because it is revenue neutral. The Democrats will simply lower another fee (tax), and increase the “gas tax” from 44-cents to 57-cents per gallon of gas.

As WMD recently out-pointed: the politicians will screw you sheep for the cash they demand, one way or the other.

You didn't put the knife to your throat. If you would have voted the other way around the money would have never gotten where it needed to go anyway. That is why they keep needing money..

Oh sheesh!! ARNOLD is in Washington.. NOW HE IS GOING TO ASK THE FEDS TO PAY FOR IT since their people won't. He is asking us to co-sign a loan for California and this is AFTER they already got money from the feds. SO the people will get messed around anyway.

WMD: yes, we'll see what happens next. . .

Rivka: the waste is beyond staggering in this state, for such a contingent of TRAINED, useless, welfare Free Cheese sheep.

But the Governor issue doesn't even address the SIEU union issue. . .

BUT WAIT, there's more: see my JUST-ADDED note.

California could solve all of it's economic problems by drilling for oil off it's coast, but they're such moonbats they won't do it. Instead they want us to bail them out!

BZ, I just posted on this, too....drawing a link to the message this probably sends obama if he's not completely tone deaf.

I hesitate because Americans have a belief about California that all Californians are liberal nuts .... this election showed something different, in my opinion.

by the way, I meant to say that the message to obama is "Americans don't want higher taxes any more than Californians do"

The libs may be touching off something they won't be able to control if they ignore the people much longer.

Don't believe in abortions..don't have one...but support the right to choose..

Those who believe that life begins at conception can not be in favor of the right to choose...But don't knock it until youve tried it..or compromise on that issue.

I am going to have to disagree with George Will on one small portion of his collum that you reposted:
In the past decade, net out-migration of Americans has been 1.4 million. California is exporting talent while importing Mexico's poverty. The latter is not California's fault; the former is.

Importing Mexican poverty is EXACTLY what California, through it's legislators is doing. "Sanctuary Cities" and Congresspeople like Firestein and boxer trying to get even more visas for "Temporary farm workers" for all their vinyards and farms!! MAKE some of those welfare cases in LA and San Fran go out and pick in the fields so that the liberal asses who make us pay for them can have their Arugula and Vino!!

Rick: hey, nice comments; completely off topic of course, but nicely written nevertheless.

Ranando: hey, get me a nice round of cheese, willya?

CB: you make an excellent point, though many are unaware of it. So-called "sanctuary cities" support lawlessness just as, say, a "theft city" would likewise support lawlessness. People wouldn't tolerate the second; why a first?

Well, it is easy to figure out why The DemocRATS Condone it. Combine Sanctuary cities with Groups like ACORN throw in Voter Fraud, Open Borders, and give the illegals free health care and schooling, And you have a DemocRAT elected majority.
You Know BZ there are a Bunch if great Law enforcement jobs available here in Dutch Harbor/Unlaska, Just take a look at the City's Website if you ever want to leave that nightmare of hypocracy California.........

Fred: well yeah, they ARE sufficiently STUPID to completely IGNORE the GOLD sitting off the shore. Further, they're GLAD of it; that is, until they run out of food, oil, transportation, plastics, rubber, chemicals, medicine. You know, the SMALL things in life.

So California...

Taxed the most productive class of people and 'the rich',

Got lots of 'social services' to fund labor unions and 'social activists',

Saw a flight of businesses due to high taxes,

Saw a flight of human capital due to high taxes,

Voted in more spending, requiring more taxes and fees for 'services' that government shouldn't be doing,

Imported an untaxable burden that was encouraged not to integrate with the culture and understand the rule of law,

Which required more 'services',

Which drove more businesses away,

Which lowered the tax base,

Which means you need higher taxes to pay for ever expanding 'services'....

Wash.

Rinse.

Repeat.

Those getting hosed are leaving as it is no longer water but the hose itself being applied to them.

Pay up for being a productive, honest, law abiding citizen.

Or else.

And now we shall see if the State Legislature understands that its bluff is being called.

Remember where CA is today, NY, MI, WA, OR and a few other States will be in the next year or so. And the rest of America is taking a good, hard look at 'too big to fail' as it looks like some failing is necessary to shake out the dead wood. Californians have to ask themselves: If the 'Big One' struck both the LA Basin and San Francisco tomorrow, would the rest of the Nation actually help to rebuild? Because that would bankrupt the Nation. Completely. And they might want to remember that no federal 'bailout' was given to Buffalo, Chicago, San Francisco post 1903 quake, and NOLA is nowhere near getting funds to 'rebuild' and that was such a 'horror' that President Obama now ignores them.

The good citizens of California have some hard choices coming, and not all will be of their choosing. Geophysics is simple, we know the periodicity of those large minute plus 9.0 quakes. You have done zip to prepare for anything above a 8.0. That day is coming. It would be nice to have some 'reserve' funds to deal with it... some preprep... you know, the role of government?

Which isn't all the lovely things that are uneconomical to give 'services' but to create a way to survive upcoming disasters you have been warned about. A 'bailout' leaves CA more vulnerable... and help will not be coming. Look at NOLA and picture San Francisco or LA.

That is your future.
