(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Janet Incompetano: The System Worked?

Big Sis says the "system worked":

Considering the fact pattern known to this point, I'd say the system failed miserably.

If it weren't for ONE passenger with balls and a technical/human problem, Northwest 253 could have had an entirely different catastrophic ending.

There were -- ahem -- some clues beforehand:

- The man paid cash for his ticket;
- He had no luggage;
- He had no passport;
- His FATHER called an American embassy to warn of his son's predilections;
- He was ON a "watch list" -- oh yeah, that's right: the "wrong" watch list

He sat in seat 19A. That seat was purposely acquired above the fuel tank of the Airbus A330-323X aircraft, number N820NW.

But ask Mr Obama and his administration?

This is nothing more than a singular crime, not an act of WAR.

With no greater a priority than a burglary or a simple assault in your neighborhood.

Big Sis has nothing but euphemisms for you: the Overseas Contingency Operations.

These people are not only deluded but ignorant. Bordering on demonic.

I'll sum it up thusly: Janet Napolitano couldn't care less about YOU. You think she flies commercial?

BZ

P.S.
My apologies if I didn't get the second video right. I still have a dial-up and have to second-guess and triple-guess my input.

Ding Ding Janet changed her mind and said the system didn't work. I'm sure someone had to point that out to her. The administration for which she works cares not for persons, merely preconceived political notions.

That woman would be funny if we weren't talking about the safety of our neighbors and families.

Greetings from Nevada City!

Good post BZ, as you said, if not for the bad a**ed passengers, this thing goes badly south.

As for Janet from another planet, I'm so sure these mad Muslims are shakin' in their freakin' turbans worried about the homoland security dyke who doesn't know a Shiite from sh*t. (yea, I know, they're not too different since the 2 are probably of similar smell, actually all 3 come to think of it)

It did ALMOST work for the Jihadists. I have serious doubts about much of this administration. I don't know that they actually support the Jihad but their support for America and Americans is not what it should be.

He had no passport

This sounds a little hard to swallow. I have great faith in the MSM's ability to get the story wrong. Ditto in for the Fed.Gov's PR flacks.

You don't need this level of idiocy to make the TSA Kabuki Theater a waste.

Plus the latest jihadists look to be Gitmo releases in 2007. Have to love KSA 'art rehab classes' for terrorists, no?

For the Left who wants people released from Gitmo now have a huge problem on their hands in that these are just the sort of guys they would want released.

For the Right this is what happens when you cave on principle and do not stick to the Laws of War or the GC, which would have had these men tried under the saboteurs and spies section of the GC. Doing that would, of course, enrage the Left, but it could be pointed out that they fit that section of the GC and its punishment which all signatories to the GC acknowledge.

Bush caved on principle.

Obama's people have no competence to stop such as these.

No we are left without principle nor competence to fall back on... while just going through the Laws of War would have ended this sort of problem. But that is the proper thing to do... can't follow the Laws of War we SIGNED UP TO now, can we?

The system worked, all planes in the sky were immediately notified. She was not talking about the act itself. How could it? The damn flight originated in Nigeria.

The explosive he used was the same as the shoe bombers. Why didn't Bush implement measures to detect this at airports? Oh, I forgot, he spent the money on illegal wars.

BZ -

I've followed this tragedy since
Christmas Day with great interest, being a Michigander as well as an American.

Obama today said what Janet from another planet actually meant was that once this loon tried to murder almost 300 people and was stopped by the passengers of the plane... that's when the system worked.

Huh?

The passengers are the system?

Oh, yeah, and of course it was Bush's fault.

Deaconbleu - thanks for the comic relief, pal. You're a hoot.

Your right. This administration is ignorant and endangering innocent American lives because of it. Janet Napolitano is uttely incompetent and should have been fired by now.

The euphemisms must stop. The Obama administration is ignoring reality as it applies to terrorism and stopping terrorists. This was not an isolated incident. This was a terrorist trying to kill innocent Americans and we were lucky that his bomb had trouble detonating properly and that one person on the flight had the balls to tackle and stop the terrorist.

The TSA is too big to succeed at much of anything. Like the DNI, Federal Reserve and a few other choice parts of government. Toss in the Dept. of Agriculture, CIA along with Education and Energy.

Whenever a 'Blue Ribbon' panel gets together to look at the failures of government, do note that such panels never, ever, suggest that there be smaller and more compact units that have better lines of control and accountability. It is always larger, bigger and more expensive, with less accountability and the lines of control turning into spaghetti.

There is no part of the civil government that could not do with a bit of breaking down, slimming down or outright cutting it off. Less accountable government becomes unable to respond to anything, gets overburdened with extra regulations and then we complain when it fails which gets a 'Blue Ribbon' panel... to make a bad situation worse.
