Bloviating Zeppelin: Do You?

Bloviating Zeppelin

(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Do I miss him?
Compared to what?
Obama?
Then yes.
But we must also agree (and admit) that SOME of what lefties are saying is true:
GWB did fire the first shot in this disastrous economic course we now find ourselves cruising.

The answer, before we start shooting at one another? (God forbid).
Don't vote for Communists/Socialists/Progressives... whether they have a "D", an "R", or an "I" behind their name.

Have some TEA, everyone!

Oh yeah, I miss the gross incompetence with regard to the economy. I miss the arrogance of starting an illegal war, making enemies with half the globe and killing millions of innocents. I miss the shredding of our constitution and civil liberties. Yup, I miss facism.

BZ,
I was not surprised by the "fascism" label. That aside, I don't say that I miss him, but in reference to what we have now it is tempting. But staying true to myself, Bush messed up and spent too much. That tears it and I would say no. Maybe someday we'll have a president who I'll say yes to. Oh, right we had Reagan. Yes.

Let me say this as nicely as I can...

What's worse? To burn to death or drown?

Either way, you're dead, and if Bush policies had continued, we'd be no better off than we are now.

If Obama continues for a few more months, we're dead...

Poison or a bullet??

Falling to your death from great height??

Not too bad, yet...

I'm 100% with Shoprat.
I'd even take Clinton over this buffoon. (did you see he bowed to the mayor of Tampa?)

GWB is responsible for "killing millions of innocents?" Did I miss something?

So, I agree with those who've mentioned that Bush made mistakes. He certainly did. But, he also did some things very right, like his response to September 11th. I felt the country and our security was in good hands then.

Unlike today.

Can I consider DB our resident fool? Maybe get him one of those hats with the three droopy corners and the bells?

Hell no, Bush was the worst prez since Carter, and probably even worse. Possibly worse than Hoover. Obama's biggest problem is that he's trying to be a nice guy and letting Republicans push him around. Look at what Richard Shelby just did by holding up every single appointment to get some pork for Alabama. Fiscal conservative my ass.

Yes and no. I certainly was against the TARP and his Immigration stance, but I do believe he was concerned with our National Security. His approach to diplomacy was far more effective it seems than Obama's amateurish attempts.

I think Bush would have been a bit more responsive to the conservative movement, but unfortunately, it took an Obama type to congeal the movement.
In the end, I'd have to say "mostly yes".

I recall the reminder from Democrats that they won. OK, they won. The Republicans lost, as in, the Republicans do not have the votes to stop any Democrat legislation. Why haven't the Democrats swept their agenda into law?

Republicans are letting the Democrats leave their own fingerprints all over everything. The Democrats have anted up and then doubled down on their bad bets.

The Republicans have the advantage of allowing the Democrats to be blinded by their own avarice. Democrats, though giving the Homer Simpson excuse, "It was like that when I got here," picked up the tab for the deficit, judicial activism, abuse of authority and betrayal of the public trust.

It reminds me of Gandalf narrating that Sauron and Saruman could not conceive that anyone would destroy the ring of power.

I did quite a bit of complaining about GWB, particularly with regard to his whitewash of Islam, his views on immigration, and the Dubai ports thing.

But look at the out-and-out Marxist we've got in the Oval Office now!

So, I guess that I do miss GWB. Besides, I couldn't have voted for either who ran against him in 2000 and 2004.

I yearn for a REAL choice at the polls.

Hmmm... a 'compassionate' progressive conservative... a big government conservative... a guy who invents a new and costly part of medicare to add in to wartime spending, plus overseeing the beginning of a financial debacle...

Then we get an isolationist progressive fool of a Chitown pol propped up by Unions and unable to keep his word to anyone on anything. Everything he says has an expiration date like his re-upping the patriot act ('shredding the Constitution part II' for you Lefties), not closing Gitmo, not fixing the economy...

Do I miss GWB?

Well do you miss the measels when you get leprosy?

I'm thinking, no.
