Bloviating Zeppelin: Your US Government: It Forced the Loss of TENS of THOUSANDS of PRIVATE SECTOR Jobs!

Bloviating Zeppelin

(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Your US Government: It Forced the Loss of TENS of THOUSANDS of PRIVATE SECTOR Jobs!

Hold onto your hats, here's a tough one to believe:

Your glorious and benevolent federal government may have been responsible for the deletion of, at minimum, tens of thousands of private sector jobs when it steamrollered over GM and Chrysler.

The Treasury Department failed to consider the economic fallout when it told General Motors and Chrysler to quickly shutter many dealerships as part of government-led bankruptcies, a federal watchdog found.

"Oh no," you must be saying, "my Leftist Federal Government couldn't possibly be responsible for this!" you cry. "Mr Obama swears he only creates jobs -- he doesn't delete jobs!"
A report released Sunday (07/18/10) by the special inspector general for the government's bailout program raised questions about whether the Obama administration's auto task force considered the job losses from the closings while pressuring the companies to reduce costs.

Treasury didn't show why the cuts were "either necessary for the sake of the companies' economic survival or prudent for the sake of the nation's economic recovery," said the audit by Neil Barofsky, the special inspector general for the Troubled Asset Relief Program, the $787 billion stimulus program known as TARP.

Hold it right there! Is it even remotely being intimated that the Obama Federal Government may have not known what it was doing in its omnipotence? That it may -- gulp! -- have even been acting in a rash, uneducated and ignorant fashion?

Treasury made a series of decisions that may have substantially contributed to the accelerated shuttering of thousands of small businesses," investigators said.

Those decisions resulted in "potentially adding tens of thousands of workers to the already lengthy unemployment rolls - all based on a theory and without sufficient consideration of the decisions' broader economic impact," the report said.

So there you have it, dearest readers.

In one stroke of a pen, Mr Obama in his lofty, pompous, and conceited way forcibly wrested control of two major American car manufacturers and, in the process, managed to eliminate TENS OF THOUSANDS of small business jobs -- local dealerships and their employees -- thereby HIMSELF contributing to the RISING unemployment lines.

Go try to find this story. At NBC, CBS, NBC or any of the other governmental sphincter-licking media outlets.

Good luck with that.

Oh he knew exactly what he was doing, making the SEIU people who make the cars happy; the car salespeople and their staff aren't union cronies who get special treatment so screw them...AND as an added bonus, make those screwed individuals potential lifetime hand-out entitlement people who will vote for more of the same from the Democratic nanny state party.

Beth: except that, I suspect, those persons laid off by the Fed might be carrying just a BIT of a grudge. . .

No.
He knows exactly what he's doing.
If you wanted to gradually but effectively destroy a Nation from the inside, what steps would you take?

You'd divide them. Make the separate groups furious enough to want to do violence against one another. Sow the seeds of turmoil by pointing out inequalities...
Race/class/etc. Make the "lessers" think the "betters" gained their treasure through nefarious means.

You'd destroy business and industry, big and small, in order to take away the citizenry's ability to do honorable work and earn a decent wage.

You'd corrupt the Nation's foundations...
Justice/Law Enforcement.
Health care.
Insurance.
Banking.

And then you'd cast doubt on the security and integrity of the polls.

I'll say this again and hope it sinks in to everyone...
This guy, and I'm talking about George Soros and his puppets and cronies, knows EXACTLY what he is doing.
And if not for the internet, he/they would be doing it without resistance.
Along with talkradio, they'll try to control that next.

Watch for it.
Anyone betting against me?

My opinions are influenced by a large part of my adult life spent retailing automobiles.

Economists talk about the multiplier effect; the number of times a dollar changes hands. At the local level, it isn't just the earnings of the employees. Car people are big consumers of restaurants. Detail shops are opened. Mobile dent repair entrepreneurs come around. Windshields are replaced. Every kind of advertising comes into play. Balloons and helium! What isn't talked about is the multiplier can also be a negative.

The owners of the dealerships that got the axe, at least the ones I know, were conservatives to the man and woman. Chicago politics, not sound business decisions, ruled who lived and who died.
