(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

545 People:

The referenced article is worthy of serious consideration because, after all, such a minimal and fractious contingent hold sway over the 310+ millions of lawfully-present Americans.

And YOU will have input into the future of most of those 545 persons, with some obvious exceptions, in roughly 24 hours.

From the Information Clearing House:

The 545 People Responsible For All Of U.S. Woes

BY Charley Reese

(Date of publication unknown)-- -- - P
oliticians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered why, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, we have deficits? Have you ever wondered why, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does. You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does. You and I don't write the tax code. Congress does. You and I don't set fiscal policy. Congress does. You and I don't control monetary policy. The Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president and nine Supreme Court justices - 545 human beings out of the 235 million - are directly, legally, morally and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered but private central bank.

I excluded all but the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it.

No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislation's responsibility to determine how he votes.

A CONFIDENCE CONSPIRACY

Don't you see how the con game that is played on the people by the politicians? Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of Tip O'Neill, who stood up and criticized Ronald Reagan for creating deficits.

The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it. The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating appropriations and taxes.

O'neill is the speaker of the House. He is the leader of the majority party. He and his fellow Democrats, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetos it, they can pass it over his veto.

REPLACE SCOUNDRELS

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 235 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts - of incompetence and irresponsibility.

I can't think of a single domestic problem, from an unfair tax code to defense overruns, that is not traceable directly to those 545 people.

When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair. If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red. If the Marines are in Lebanon, it's because they want them in Lebanon.

There are no insoluble government problems. Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take it.

Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exist disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation" or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people and they alone are responsible. They and they alone have the power. They and they alone should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses - provided they have the gumption to manage their own employees.

This should be the beginning of a True American Revolution.

Because actual Revolutions have been instigated for, when you consider, much less.

Some pundits and bloggers have lobbied heavily for their opinions that Conservatives will pull out a remarkably unbalanced win.

The Demorats themselves are predicting an unanticipated landslide on their end.

I submit this: those who express a landslide on either end should prepare to be disappointed.

I know how I voted; I know how my wife, a former Demorat until she met me, voted. Those are the only two predictions I can reliably make. Our absentees are in and, now, counted.

In Fornicalia, it is predicted that Jerry Brown will take Governor. It is predicted that Kamala Harris, former DA for San Francisco city and county, will take Attorney General.

Interestingly enough, at issue -- as far as I am concerned -- is the point that Kamala Harris, a rather attractive black female as SF DA, decided in 2004 that she would NOT seek the death penalty against a black male, David Hill, who gunned down 29-year-old decorated SFPD officer Isaac Espinoza. Her "true colors" came out. She is a Leftist of the Nth degree, in concert with Jerry Brown.

It is predicted that Proposition 19, the legalization of marijuana, will pass.

Yes, again, that is how stupid are Fornicalia voters.

The "unintended consequences" and results.

Brain-dead voters think: dude, I get my free leaf.

If you think you're going to smoke marijuana for free, you'd best reset your Brain Housing Group.

Every possible local, city, county, state and federal agency, entity, group, system, program and association is going to want "its cut" of the marijuana cash crop.

If you think you're going to grow marijuana at home, you'd best think again. Hydroponics and growing kits will be licensed and taxed. You'll have to acquire a license to grow at home. You'll have to meet state and federal regulations. Growing more than "personal consumption" -- that to be determined by the government -- will result in a fine or arrest. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

When you buy, how you buy, from whom you buy, what you buy, where you buy, will be regulated to the Nth degree. And taxed. And regulated. And monitored. And will require an entirely new and onerous and inefficient and unresponsive mass of bureaucratic goo from the state.

Those of you who don't quite care for smoke in any form -- you'd best prepare for the smoke in all its forms from marijuana. Not to mention the detrimental health results from another strata of state-approved and endorsed smoke. And let us not forget the first Index Case against the state -- to cost you millions of taxpayer dollars -- sourcing from provable deleterious health impacts. Tort cases, here they come. And I could make an excellent case myself.

Unintended consequences, people. La Mordida. And just whom do you think might get into mass production of marijuana? Mafia? Russian Mafiya? MS13? HAs? Yakuza?

And that's only if the federal government decides not to reverse Prop 19.

What "unintended consequences" do you see issuing forth from this coming Tuesday?

Isn't that the truth?

As for Moonbeam Brown, well, if the people of California elect him, California gets what it deserves. I do pity conservatives in California -- fellow blogger Z and my in-laws.

Bush: likely, in both occasions. And there is NO clean end in this state.

AOW: we'll know in 24 hours or more, and I'm thinking it won't be pretty.

ANY state that has on the ballot a measure to legalize drugs, not just for the sick but for everyone, should have all Federal Funding pulled if it passes.
A Half a Million Jobs will be CREATED if you guys do pass that delay on the Clear Air Nazi Bill.
If the First wins and the second loses CA is Doomed.

I guess you don't realize the Obama's budget and cost cutting measures have reduced the deficit some $200 billion. Too bad we're still stuck with the $1.3 TRILLION Bush created.

DB: evidently you don't get around. We are about to experience the largest tax increase, come January 1st, in the entire history of the United States.

Of course, the stock market reached never before seen heights, unemployment was at all time lows and we were bopping along just fine under the Bush administration. That is, up until 2006 when the Demorats took control of Congress. But why let the facts get in the way of a good repetitive dose of propaganda for the masses?

In much the same way that Mr Obaka stands in front of the t'prompter and tells the American people that ‘the buck stops’ with him and then turns around immediately and spends his time assigning blame to everyone but himself, he declares that he is doing everything he can to fix the economy whilst at the very same time, INCREASING the federal budget to levels few of us could have imagined. He has actually succeeded in having American people talk in terms of TRILLIONS of dollars as though those are "reasonable" sums of money.

In the first two months of Obaka’s administration, the stimulus package has already contributed to quadruple the deficit.

I won't dispute that President G.W. Bush DID increase the federal deficit to an historic $700 billion through 2008.

However, Obaka is adding another $1 TRILLION to that already historic level. Whatever increases Bush added during his administration, Obaka is matching and raising to almost unimaginable levels!

I would be remiss not to mention that Bush’s administration had to deal with the budget-busting terrorist attacks of 9/11/2001 and the subsequent costly Global War on Terrorism.

Obama’s budget insanity will increase the public debt by $4.9 TRILLION DOLLARS. Staggering. Incomprehensible numbers.

Bush spent like a drunken sailor on leave.

Obaka spent like the entire fucking FLEET on liberty.

"Cost cutting measures." Gimme a fockin' break, dude. Try reading your OWN Left Wing news.

And finally: can your Obaka match the BILLIONS of dollars that an ancient white guy spent on AIDS in Africa? Thought not.

If growing pot becomes legal then the US agricultural system will wipe the floor with even the poorest of peasants anywhere on the planet: they BUY OUR CORN for heaven's sake. Corn is one of the cheapest things on this planet to grow... Mexico depends on our corn. Imagine a real cash crop coming through the pipeline...

The problem with legalizing pot is that it will be too cheap to tax normally, so you put tobacco-style taxes on it which is the only reason that is costly. The great 'boon' in taxes comes through addiction to the use of the stuff, not through paying a couple of bucks a pack for it when made legal.

America went from 13 colonies to an industrial powerhouse without one, single National drug law in the 19th century. These are the people who laid the railroads, put down the roadbeds, put up telegraph lines, and forged a Nation from sea to sea. Some few were stoned out of their gourds, too. Seems to me the job got done without a lot of fuss about drugs or alcohol... but then that was an age where living past 40 was a major goal in life, and you could not do it pain nor sickness free. You want to see hard drinking Americans? Look at the Revolution. Americans addicted to morphine? Look to civil war vets. Marijuana? Cowboys. Yes this stuff could be abused, and then child endangerment laws got put in place for the worst uses of the stuff, plus food and drug purity laws. America started coming out of its stupor before the Stamp Act was passed.

Remember: criticize this stuff and you are at your peril of slurring generations without a single law on the stuff. Yes there were better ways to go... but they were taking them because worse ways already had them... TB, Scarlet Fever, Cholera, amputations, systemic infections.... now those with terminal cancer can't get morphine because... IT IS ADDICTIVE!

When you say you are not your brother's keeper, do you mean it? Or do you really want to control him for 'his own good' while claiming otherwise?

Washington could take whatever he damn, well pleased.

You aren't so lucky.

He was free.

You are only born free.

Then government comes along 'to help'.

You're an ass if you believe this, it's not the 545 people, it's the corporations who own them sell you a load of crap and get you to vote against your best interests.

DB, I submit that corporations sell their own wares where they are WANTED. Where they are UNwanted they do not.

Do not smoke me with Dems and Cons.

Do not smoke me with 545.

And WHAT, might I ask, are my "best interests"?

Oddly enough, MOTHER JONES produced an edition on "best interests." I'm sure you have that copy.

But WHAT ARE our "best interests"? FREE shit for everyone? No limits? Just say it and it shall be? Art for everyone? Piss Christ for all? Bone meal for the downtrodden and the hungry? Upgraded cell phones for the gangbangers in my neighborhood? Cell phones for bums? Permanent welfare for those disinclined to contribute?

You are so sad, sir.
