I submit: no loss.
He tried to be everything to everyone.
Instead, he became nothing to anyone.
He has now endorsed Mitt Romney.

A former Democrat in my tender and ignorant youth, I am now a Conservative first and, these days, quite a distant Republican with a dash of Libertarian mixed in for good measure. Some people wondered precisely that:
They perceived that he didn't absolutely BURN for the position of president.
I suspect they were correct.
