No More Disney

No more Disney for me. Walt is turning in his grave even as I write this and his mouse is certainly moribund.

First, in an ongoing battle with lunacy, (thanks to Gayle in her Fractured Friday post), Disney-ABC continues to support Rosie O'Donnell and her completely uneducated, Left-leaning, positively stupid and hateful comments on The View. Second, just yesterday (Friday) Disney announced that Fairy Tale weddings will be open to gay couples:

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The Walt Disney Co. has changed its policy to allow same-sex couples to participate in a popular Fairy Tale Wedding program it runs mainly at its two U.S. resorts and cruise line, a Disney spokesman said on Thursday.

I spent a wonderful time on the very first cruise of the Disney Magic in 1999 with my mother, father and one brother, three years prior to my mother's passing in May of 2002. But I think the days of my sending dollars to Disney are gone. Gone, gone.

People are afraid it would present a negative stereotype to blacks.

If it were intentionally racist, then I might agree. But I think the character is supposed to be favorable; and you have to judge things in the context of the times that they were made in.; Fri Apr 06, 08:59:00 PM PDT
